Carefullyunpackallcontentsofcarton.
•Thewindowfancomesfullyassembledandisreadyforimmediate
installation.
•Beforeinstallation,familiarizeyourselfwiththebuilt-in7”extender
ontherightsideofthefan,andthetwoadditional3.”extenders
whichattachtotheleftsideofthefanhousing(seefigure#1.)The
extraextendersarepackedinstyrofoamateachendofthebox.
WERECOMMENDED KEEPINGYOURWINDOWSCREENINPLACE
INSTALLATIONINSTRUCTIONS:
Thiswindowfanhasbeendesignedtofitdouble-hung,sliderandcase-
mentwindowswithminimumopeningsof24.”wideand13”high.For
casementwindows,pleaseseepage3forinformationonavailable
bracket.Thisfanisdesignedandrecommendedforusedwithyourwin-
dowscreeninplace.
For double-hung and slider windows:
NOTE:OnSLIDERWINDOWSthebottomsectionmustbethesideyou
addextendersto(leftside).Thecontrolsshouldbefacingtowardthe
window.
1.Withthewindowopen,takeanaccuratemeasurementoftheopen-
ingwheretheunitwillbeplaced.
2.Matchyourwindowmeasurementwiththeinstallationguide(seefig-
ure#2text);addingtheappropriateextenderpanel(s)totheleftside,
whileusingthebuilt-inextenderontherightside.
3.Onceyouhaveaddedextenderpanel(s)ifnecessary,setthefanin
thewindow,andcompletethe
installationprocessusingthebuilt-inextender.Pulloutforasnug,safe
fit(seestep5)
4.Carefullyclose the window onto the top ofthefansothat the bottom
edgeofthe window rests behind top line offanhousing.Thisis impor-
tantasit aides in keeping the fan inplace.
5.Lastly,pulloutthebuilt-inextenderonrightsidetofillinthe remaining
space.Topullout,simplypopuptheextenderlocksonthetopandbot-
tomofthefanhousingnexttothebuilt-inextender,andsettothe
desiredlength.Tosecureinplace,pushtheextenderlocksbackdown.
Casement Windows:
Forasafe,securefitinyourcasementwindow,youwillneedaspecial
bracketsystem.Foreasierinstallationinacasementwindow,we
provideyouwithtwobracketsandscrewsatnoadditionalcost.Please
keepinmind,yourwindowmusttobeatleast24”highand13”wide
tousethiswindowfan/bracketcombination.Pleasecallourcustomer
servicedepartment,1-800-5-HOLMES,forfurtherassistance.
INSTALLATIONGUIDE:
For 24” to 27”: Useupto3”ofrightside,pulloutextender.
For 28” to 34”: Useone3”extenderpanelontheleftside.Adjust
thepulloutextenderontherightsideforatightfit(from.5”to7”).
For 35” to 37”: Usetwo3”extenderpanelsontheleftside.Adjust
thepulloutextenderontherightforatightfit(to5”to7”).
Larger than 37”: Additionalextenderpanelswillberequired.

ACCUTEMPTM DIGITALCONTROLINSTRUCTIONS:
YourwindowfanisequippedwithanAccutemp™DigitalControlthat
automaticallyvariesthefanspeedandturnsthefanONandOFF
dependingonthepresetcomfortlevel. Thisisidealforoperationatnight
whenthetemperaturedrops.
1.Makesurethemanual/automaticswitchabovedisplayissetto
automatic.
2.TurnspeedcontroltoHI,MED,orLO
3.Pressdownonthetempsetbuttonstoprogramthedesiredtemperature.
Tosetandholdhighertemperatures,pressthetopbutton,for
lowertemperatures,pressthebottombutton. Holdthebutton
downuntilyouseeyourdesiredtemperaturedisplayed.
4.Whenyouarefinishedsettingthetemperature,letgoofthebutton.
Thedisplaywillblinkafewtimesandthenreturntodisplaying
thecurrentroomtemperature.
5.IftheunitwillnotstartinAutomaticmode,pleasemakesurethatthe
"settemperature"isbelowthecurrentroomtemperature. Ifthefan
isstoppedandyouwanttoturnitbackon,lowerthetemperature
settinguntilyouhavereachedthedesiredtemperature.
IMPORTANT: If you desire continuous running of the fan, turn
the manual/automatic level to manual and adjust the
hi/med/low speed button.

Fan Blade and Front Grill Cleaning:
Tocleanfanbladeandfrontgrill
1.Usingaphillipsheadscrewdriver,removethescrewsthatholdthefront
andreargrillstogether.
2.Cleanbladesandgrillswithasoft,moistcloth(seeabove).
3.Securelyfastenthegrillstogether.
OPTIONALPOLLENCATCHERINSTRUCTIONS:
TheHAWF-2095canbeusedwithaspeciallydesignedairfilter.Thenew
“PollenCatcher”Systemwilltrapsmalldirt,dust,pollenandothersmall
particles.PollenCatcherfiltersaremadeofawashablefoammaterialthat
canbere-used;witharecommendedreplacementintervalof2-3months.
