IMPORTANT SAFETY INSTRUCTIONS
When using electrical appliances basic safety precautions should always be
followed:
1. Read all instructions before using the appliance.
2. To protect against electric shock do not immerse cord, plug or appliance in
water or other liquids. Follow the instructions for cleaning.
3. Young children should be supervised to ensure that they do not play with this
appliance.
4. Do not leave the appliance unattended when it is plugged in.
5. Unplug when not in use and before cleaning. Allow to cool before disposal,
cleaning or before moving.
6. If the power cord is damaged, it must be replaced by an authorized service
technician or a qualified person in order to avoid accidents.
7. The use of an extension cord is not recommended.
8. Be careful not to tangle and not to twist the power cord.
9. Do not pull the power cord. Do not use it to move or carry the appliance. When
you disconnect the appliance from the power supply, pull the plug, not the
cord.
10. The use of accessory attachments that are not supplied with the appliance can
cause a fire, electric shock or injury.
11. Do not let the power cord to hang over the edge of a table or an element or
touch hot surfaces, including a stove. Ensure that the power cord does not
hang and that nobody / nothing get stuck on it.
12. Do not place the appliance on or near a gas or electric stove, in a warm oven or
near combustible materials.
13. Do not use outdoors or when standing on wet surfaces.
14. Do not touch the plug and the appliance with wet hands!
15. Only use this appliance for its intended domestic use.
16. The appliance is not intended for use by persons (including children) with
reduced physical, sensory or mental capabilities, or lack of experience and
knowledge, unless they have been given supervision or instruction concerning
use the appliance by a responsible person for their safety.
17. Before switching on the appliance, check if the voltage stated on the plate
corresponds to the voltage of your electrical network.
18. Do not use the appliance if it has been dropped and there are visible signs of
damage or leaks.
19. Store in a dry place, protected from dust and away from direct sunlight.
20. Any misuse or failure to follow the instructions for use makes the guarantee
invalid and frees the manufacturer / distributor / seller of any responsibility.

HOW TO USE THE APPLIANCE
FOOD PREPARATION
1. Make sure that the appliance is unplugged.
2. Turn on the power supply. Both control lamps will turn on (red and green). The
green lamp indicates that the appliance is plugged in, and the red one that
the appliance is heated up and ready for food preparation. The appliance has
an automatic thermostat and until the red light is on, the appliance is heating.
When the red light goes off, the appliance reaches the temperature needed
for food preparation. During use, the red light will indicate when the appliance
warms up (the red light is on), and when the temperature is maintained (the red
light is off).
Before the first use, oil the heating plates, turn the appliance on and leave it to run
for a few minutes. Turn off the appliance, allow it to cool down and then pick up the
excess oil with a dry paper towel / napkin.
ATTENTION: Always use oven mitts as a protection when
opening. Steam can cause burns.
ATTENTION: The length of power cord is designated as a
security measure to prevent accidents caused by latching on a
longer cable. The use of an extension cord is not recommended.
21. Do not use in the bathroom, near water or outdoors.
22. When using this appliance, ensure 10-15 cm of space above and on both sides
of the appliance, so warm air could circulate. Do not use on surfaces which
heat can damage.
23. Wait until the appliance is fully cool before set it aside. Never wrap the cord
around the appliance until it is warm.
24. This appliance is hot during operation. Be careful! There is a risk of injury.
25. Do not touch warm surfaces. The handles are heat-insulated, but the use of
oven mitts is recommended.
26. To reduce the risk of fire or electric shock while using use only wooden objects
(spatulas, spoons, forks and similar kitchen tools). Never clean the heating
plates with metal wires.
27. Never move the appliance when it contains hot oil, liquid or hot food.

CLEANING
1. Make sure that the appliance is turned off and whether it is cooled down.
2. Clean the baking plates with a damp cloth or sponge.
3. Never use abrasive cleaners or cleaning supplies for plates or any other part of
the appliance. Wipe the appliance with a soft damp cloth and dry it.
DANGER from burns of hands and fingers! Always allow the
appliance to cool down.
3. About 5 minutes is needed for the appliance to warm and the red light goes
off.
4. Now you can use the appliance. If you want you can put little oil on the plates
before use.
5. When you finish food preparation, unplug the appliance and let it cool before
cleaning the plates and disposal.
SANDWICH PREPARATION
Classic sandwich with cheese or meat
To make a sandwich, grease 2 pieces of bread with butter or margarine. The
buttered side is meant to be on the heating plate. Put the cheese or meat of your
choice on the unbuttered side of bread. Overlap with the other piece of bread,
with butter on the heating plate. Close the lid. Bake for 3-5 minutes until desired
browning. Be careful, the appliance is hot!
Do not dispose of electrical appliances as unsorted municipal waste, use separate
collection facilities. Contact you local government for information regarding the collection
systems available. If electrical appliances are disposed of in landfills or dumps, hazardous
substances can leak into the groundwater and get into the food chain, damaging your health and
well-being. When replacing old appliances with new ones, the retailer is legally obligated to take
back your old appliance for disposals at least free of charge.
