Introduction:
The ‘Home Sentinel” Weatherproof Infrared Illuminated
camera has been specifically designed to meet the
high quality standards of the Home Sentinel family
of products. The CA 1030 is ideal for use in
locations requiring little or no illumination at night.
Camera can be used with any TV set or Home
Sentinel Video security monitor ( 6 pin Din )
Plug n’ play connection to any Home Sentinel
video security monitor using the adapter cable
High power infrared illumination provides images of up to 20
meters away at night
Auto-focus and auto-iris lens compensate for changing light
and varying distances
Ambient light sensor increases infrared illumination as needed
Wide angle lens is ideal for indoor or outdoor
video surveillance applications
Safety Instructions:
1. To reduce the risk of fire or electric shock, do
not expose this system to excessive rain or
moisture
2. Do not use the CA 1030 near any flammable
liquids such as oil, propane or natural gas
3. Keep the CA 1030 away from any heat sources
such as a radiator, heating fan, or a stove
4. The AC adapter may become hot after
prolonged use. Make sure that there is at least
12 inches between the AC adapter and any
flammable materials, such as curtains or papers

Contents of Package
Before using the unit, unpack the CA 1030 system,
and inspect the contents. The following components
should be present:
(1) Weatherproof Black & White Infrared Camera
(1) 65 ft cable and camera mounting stand
(1) Power Supply
(1) DIN-RCA cable adapter
Identifying the Parts
1. B/W CCD Camera with infrared Illuminators
Delivers a clear detailed picture to the TV set

Connect the AC adapter to the RED power
cable on the camera and plug into wall outlet
4. Adapter Cable
Use this DIN-RCA cable when using a Home Sentinel
Monitor
5. Camera Mounting Bracket
Comes with 3 screws for mounting, and a swivel bracket
for the camera
Installation
Connection to a TV
1. Connect the Yellow RCA cable from the Infrared
camera to the Video input on your TV set. ( 65 ft cable )
2. Make sure that your TV is selected to view a
signal connected to the “Auxiliary A/V” or Line Input”.
Most TV’s have a function on the remote
control or front panel to select “TV, CATV or
Auxiliary”. Consult the Owner’s Manual for your
TV for programming.
3. Connect the RED Power jack cable from the Infrared
camera to the connector on the AC adapter, and plug in unit
4. Mount the pedestal stand on the wall or ceiling
using the 3 screws provided, and then mount the
camera on the bracket
Connection to a Video Surveillance Monitor
1. Connect the Yellow RCA cable from the Infrared camera to the
DIN-RCA cable adapter. Connect the other end of this cable
( 6 pin din) to the camera input on the back of the surveillance
monitor
2. Connect the RED Power jack cable from the Infrared camera
to the connector on the AC adapter, and plug in unit
3. Mount the pedestal stand on the wall or ceiling using the 3
screws provided, and then mount the camera on the
bracket

Home Sentinel® warrants this home and small business
security product (‘The Product’) to be free from defects in
material and workmanship for a period of one year from
the date of original purchase. This warranty does not
cover any expenses incurred in the removal or
reinstallation of the product. This warranty is offered to the
original purchaser of the product only.
If the product should prove defective within the warranty
period, return the product postage prepaid to Home
Sentinel®, along with your dated sales slip or other proof of
purchase which will establish your eligibility for warranty.
Home Sentinel® will at its option, replace or repair the product
free of charge and return the product to you postage prepaid.
This warranty does not apply to the product which has been
damaged, misused, altered or repaired by anyone other than a
Home Sentinel® authorized service facility.
ANY IMPLIED WARRANTIES INCLUDING FITNESS FOR
USE AND MERCHANTABILITY ARE LIMITED IN
DURATION TO THE PERIOD OF THE EXPRESS
WARRANTY SET FORTH ABOVE, AND NO PERSON IS
AUTHORIZED TO ASSUME FOR HOME SENTINEL®
ANY OTHER LIABILITY IN CONNECTION WITH
THE SALE OF THE PRODUCT. HOME SENTINEL®
EXPRESSLY DISCLAIMS LIABILITY FOR INCIDENTAL
AND CONSEQUENTIAL DAMAGES CAUSED BY THE
PRODUCT. THE REMEDIES PROVIDED UNDER THIS
WARRANTY ARE EXCLUSIVE AND IN LIEU OF ALL
OTHERS.
This warranty gives legal rights, and may also have other
rights which vary from state to state or province to
province. Some states/provinces do not allow limitations on
how long a warranty lasts, so the above limitation may not
apply to you. Additionally, some states/provinces do not
allow the exclusion or limitation of consequential or
