9. The appliance must be placed in a stable position with the
handles (if any) positioned so as to prevent hot liquids from
spilling.
10. Always observe the minimum and maximum lines when lling
the appliance with oil. Never exceed the maximum line.
11. Before connecting the plug to the electrical outlet, make sure that the voltage indicated
on the type plate of the appliance corresponds to the voltage in your power outlet.
12. Plug the power cord into a properly grounded electrical outlet. We recommend
connecting the appliance to a separate electrical circuit. Do not use extension cables.
13. Do not touch the appliance, the power cord or the plug with wet or damp hands.
14. Make sure that the power cord does not hang over the edge of the table or touch a
heated or hot surface, or place it over sharp objects.
15. Always place the appliance on a at, dry and solid surface. Do not place the appliance
on or near electric or gas stoves / hobs or in places where it may come into contact with
hot oven or other heat sources.
16. Do not place the appliance on a surface covered with a cloth or other ammable material.
17. Do not place the appliance near walls, curtains, draperies, objects or materials that are
sensitive to heat or can easily catch re.
18. Never cover the appliance.
19. Do not use the appliance near a bath, shower, swimming pool or other water source. Do
not use the appliance outdoors.
20. Switch off the appliance and disconnect the plug from the power supply when it is not
in use or would remain unattended; when you carry it, clean it or store it.
21. Always allow the appliance to cool completely before cleaning it.
22. Always disconnect the power cord by grasping the plug, not by pulling on the power
cord.
23. Do not use the appliance if it shows signs of damage, if it has been dropped, immersed
in water, if the power supply or the plug is damaged. Contact and authorized service
centre. Never repair the appliance yourself.
24. NEVER carry or manipulate the appliance if there is hot oil. Always wait for the oil to
cool completely.
25. The appliance is equipped with a protective thermal fuse. It automatically shuts it off in
case of overheating. This protects it from damage. The thermal fuse is a small red button
located on the back of the control unit. Press it with a thin point (such as a ballpoint pen)
to reset the fuse. Then unplug the power cord and let the appliance cool down for about
30 minutes.
26. Do not damage the heating element.
27. The appliance is equipped with a fuse that will not release it until the heating element is
properly inserted in the appliance.
