connecting and operating this product. Keep this manual for future reference.

Guarantee
This HomeChoice appliance carries a 12-month guarantee against mechanical and
electrical failure. The guarantee starts from your invoice date and is valid for a full year.
On delivery of this appliance, it is imperative to ensure that all necessary features/
accessories are included. If anything is missing or faulty, it must be reported immediately
and returned within 14 days of receipt.
Important:
Please ensure that you:
1. Keep the original packaging for 14 days to meet the returns policy requirements.
2. Keep your original invoice (as well as a copy)

Please read the instructions before operating the appliance
• Do not use this appliance if you do not understand the instructions.
• Failure to follow the manual’s instructions could result in damage or serious injury.
• Ensure that the appliance is positioned on a at and level surface before operating.
• This unit must be thoroughly checked before use.
• Ensure that all the gas ttings are correctly and rmly tted before every use.
• Do not store ammable materials near the appliance.
• Do not place or use aerosol sprays near the appliance.
• Keep children and animals well away while the appliance is in use.
• Parts of the appliance will get extremely hot and could cause serious burns - test every surface before
touching it.
• Allow sucient time for the appliance to cool down before moving and/or storing it.
• Be very careful when operating the appliance. The operator should pay constant attention to the food
being cooked and should remain at the appliance at all times when it is alight.
• Do not use this appliance in an enclosed area. Ensure that the room is well ventilated and that enough
fresh air is entering the room through an open window or door.
• Do not operate this appliance in an enclosed room, caravan, boat or any area less than 5 x 5 metres.
• Do not leave the appliance unattended while in use.
• Ensure that the gas supply is turned o after use and while the appliance is unattended.
• Do not move the appliance while in use.
• Do not place objects against the appliance.
• Do not use a naked ame to test for leaks. Ensure you follow the procedure outlined on page 4 titled
“Testing for Leaks”.
• Never use this appliance with a cylinder other than the size recommended.
• Do not touch the safety guard or the top plate, either while in use of after it has been turned o, as
they get very hot.
• Do not unscrew the regulator while the appliance is on or if the cylinder valve is open.
• Do not use the appliance if you suspect it is faulty.
• When turning the appliance o, rst turn the gas o at the switch level (on the appliance) and then
make sure to close the cylinder valve.
• Always check the exible gas supply hose before use. Replace a broken or expired hose.
• For safety reasons, only a qualied technician may execute maintenance and repairs.
The guarantee for the heater will be rendered void if the heater is serviced or repaired by anyone other
than an approved technician.
• Any modication to the stove will invalidate the guarantee on this appliance.
• The operator is responsible for the safety of all third parties while the appliance is in use.

Attaching the Gas Supply Hose
• Place the hose clamp onto the hose before attaching the hose.
• Push the hose over the hose nipple until it is fully engaged. Ensure that the hose covers at least 2cm ofthe
hose nipple.
• Move the hose clamp over the section of the hose covering the hose nipple, and tighten properly.
• Ensure that the switch lever on the appliance is in the “o” position.
• Perform the leak test as set out below.
Testing for Leaks
The leak test must be carried out in a well-ventilated area, free from any ames or other sources of
ignition.
• With the cylinder connected to the appliance, open the cylinder valve.
• Brush the connections (where the gas supply hose connects to the appliance) with a solution of equal
parts dishwashing liquid and water.
• A stream of bubbles forming on the brushed areas indicate a gas leak.
• If bubbles appear, turn the valve o at the gas cylinder and disconnect the appliance from the
gas cylinder.
• Ret the hose and tighten the hose clamp and retry the leak test until no bubbles appear.
• A leak between the appliance and cylinder can lead to a high pressure fire, which is very
dangerous and can result in extensive injury or even death.
• DO NOT use a naked flame to test for leaks.
• DO NOT use the appliance if you are not able to stop any leaks.

Burn-back (re in burner tube or chamber)
In the event of a burn-back, where the flame burns back to the jet, immediately turn the gas
supply off at the control valve on the panel. After ensuring the flame is extinguished, wait for one
minute and relight the appliance in the normal manner. Should the appliance again burn back,
close the control valve and call a service technician. Do not use the appliance again until the
service technician has declared that it is safe to do so.
Turning On
1. Connect the rubber hose to the gas container’s
connection pipe.
2. Fasten the rubber hose xture.
3. Connect the rubber hose to the
gas container.
4. Push the switch lever at the OFF position
and turn it counter-clockwise.
5. Make sure that the appliance ignites.
6. If it fails to ignite, repeat Step 3.
7. Check that the gas container is full.
8. Turn the switch lever clockwise
or counter-clockwise to reach the optimum
temperature.
Cleaning, Maintenance and Storage
• Maintenance and cleaning must only be carried out when the gas supply has been turned off
and the heater cold.
• Use a soft wet cloth with a neutral cleaner for dust and dirt.
• When you find the pores in the flame guard are blocked, detach the flame guard, then
clear the pores.
• When the appliance is used for a long time or after not using it for a long time, it is a good idea
to check the connection of the appliance for leaks by using the leak test method mentioned
on page 4. Remember! if bubbles form, there is a leak and the appliance must
not be used until the leak has been resolved.
• When the appliance is not in use for a period of time, we recommend that it is kept covered or
stored in its carton.
Turning O
1. Turn the switch lever back to the
OFF position.
2. Make absolutely sure that the heater ele-
ment is completely o.
SHOULD THE GAS CYLINDER BECOME EMP-
TY, REPLACE WITH A FULL ONE.
