3. IMPORTANT USER INFORMATION
3.1) Before using the machine, the following will require special

15,40
attention:
a. During transportation, it is inevitable that the machine be shaken and vibrated. It must be
allowed to stand for 24 hours to allow the refrigerant system to settle.
b. The machines are designed to operate below 32ºC. They should be shielded from direct sunlight
and placed away from heat sources.
c. Liquid ice cream mixture temperature must be neither too cold (not below 5ºC) nor too high
( and not warmer than ambient temperature.
d. The machine must on a level surface in a well-ventilated area.
e. Ensure the beater sticks operate in a clockwise direction.
f. The exhaust vent from the machine’s condenser must have a clearance of at least 1 metre from
the nearest vertical object.
g. The condenser must be frequently cleaned to free it from dust and loose debris.
Ensure clockwise rotation
Note : There must be a clearance of at least 50cm on each side if the machine, with this
distance being increased to 1m on the exhaust side of the machine, in order to allow
adequate cooling.
3.2) Notes regarding power supply:
a. The machine should be properly grounded through the power socket. If the power socket does
not have an earth connection, the machine chassis must be grounded by linking a cable
between the machine’s earth connection and an adequate ground connection such as a copper
pipe (consult your machine provider for technical requirements if in doubt).

16,40
Machine chassis earth connection
b. 220v/50Hz machines should be connected to an adequate power supply of 220~240V(single
phase) or. The power cable cross-section area should be at least 2.5mm² to ensure adequate
current flow during start-up peak. The connection cable should be no longer than 6m.
c. 380v/50Hz machines should be connected to an adequate three-phase power supply. The power
cable cross-section area should be at least 2.5mm² to ensure adequate current flow during
start-up peak. The connection cable should be no longer than 6m.
Notes:
1. An inadequate power supply may affect machine performance and may lead to damage of key
components such as beater motor, compressor and electronic
controller circuit.
2. Should the need arise to replace the power cable, the new cable must comply with machine
requirements. Any replacement should only be undertaken by a qualified technician.

6. Cleaning Procedure
6.1) Pre-production cleaning
a. Remove the throat block by unscrewing the four nuts.
b. Use household detergent or a chlorine solution to clean the hoppers, freezing cylinders, beater
sticks, inlet tube and face block. Dip the throat block in the cleaning solution and pull the draw
handles three or four times. Thereafter remove the throat block horizontal bar and release the
three draw valves. Ensure all components are thoroughly cleaned. Before re-assembly, lightly
spread edible oil on all rubber O rings to ensure easy operation and to prevent wear and tear.
Re-assemble in reverse order
Step 1: Remove tightening nuts
Step 2: Pull draw handles 2 or 3 times in cleaning solution
Step 3: Remove cross-bar stopper

20,40
Step 4: remove cross-bar and draw handles
Step 5: remove draw valves. Be sure to inspect and replace the rubber
washers if worn. Note that “a” and “c” are side-valves and “b”
is a centre valve with a different design. Re-assembly with
valve “b” in wrong position may lead to jamming and/or
leakage.
