Step #1 – SCRUB MODE
[Note: The SCRUB Mode is for washing only! No drying or wet pick up occurs in the SCRUB Mode
during the washing process].
To wash hard-surface floors, simply fill the solution tank with cleaning solution and hot water…make sure
the battery is charged…put the Selector Switch in the SCRUB Mode…squeeze the solution trigger…and
gently wash a section of the floor with the spinning PowerBrush and Cleaning Solution. No water will be
picked up during the SCRUB mode/washing process.
Step #2 – PICK UP MODE
[Note: The PICK UP Mode is for drying! PowerBrush and Solution Trigger are shut OFF in the PICK
UP mode during the drying process].
To dry the floor, simply turn the Selector Switch to the PICK UP Mode (which shuts OFF the brush roll and
solution trigger) and squeegee up the excess water. No power brushing or washing can occur during the
drying process.
Picking up SPILLS
Use the PICK UP Mode to quickly suck up any liquid spills. The PowerBrush and Solution Trigger do not
operate in the Pick Up mode during spill clean up. If you want to Wash and Dry the spill area, simply
repeat Steps 1 and 2, after picking up the spill.
Battery Running Time
Fully charged, the battery should provide about 30 minutes of normal operation (switching between the
SCRUB and PICK UP Modes) as you wash and dry the floors. You can operate the unit on a partial
charge for less time if the cleaner is only needed for a quick cleaning job. The indicator light will blink
orange when there are only 2-minutes of battery time remaining as a warning that the unit is ready to shut
off. Note: Running the cleaner for prolonged periods of time in the PICK UP Mode (drying and spill pick
up), will use battery power faster than normal operation. The idea of the Impulse™ is to leave it plugged in
when not in use, so it’s always charging and ready to go. Charge at night…clean during the day, and keep
on charge when not in use. The indicator light is green when fully charged.
