PARTS LIST

SAFETY INSTRUCTIONS
1. IMPORTANT: You must clean your hydroponics unit thoroughly and wash your food with
clean water before consumption. Food borne illnesses can occur if the unit is not
cleaned often and your food from the unit is not washed. Food born illness can cause
serious sickness and or death.
2. Please keep your hydroponics system and the food thereof away from animals and small
children. Children may safely eat the food after it has been checked, washed, and
harvested by a competent adult.
3. A child using, assembling, or disassembling this system will always require adult
supervision.
4. Beware of sharp edges during assemble so handle with care.
5. Please check all electrical parts for frayed wire insulation, exposed wires, or any other
defect prior to every use. Mixing defective electrical components with water can lead to
serious injury and or death.
6. Please thoroughly wash the trays before and in between uses. If sanitizer or cleaners
are used see below for regulations of FDA and EPA approved sanitizers and cleaners.
7. Remember to use all relevant personal protective equipment (PPE) like gloves, safety
glasses, and an apron.
8. It is suggested alternate your FDA approved cleaning chemicals to continuously combat
adaptive bacteria.
9. Use only clean water for cleaning the hydroponics unit and growing food. Contaminated
water could contain heavy metals and chemicals that harmful to human and or animal
health.
10. Remove all uneaten food, roots, and plant debris from the system entirely after
harvesting fresh food.
11. Turn off all powered items and de-energize first before performing maintenance or
repairs on your hydroponics system.
12. Check weekly for leaks on your reservoir to prevent any damage to nearby surfaces.
13. Check your tank Ph levels weekly and adjust according to the instructions in this manual.
14. Removal all debris around and on the hydroponics pump to prevent clogging and the
spread of bacteria.
15. Inspect your food daily for mold, rotting plant material, pests, and disease to prevent
your food quality from dropping.
16. The lighting of system does produce heat so beware of placing any flammable objects
near or on the lighting. Putting flammable objects near the light could cause a fire which
could lead to injury or death.
17. Follow all original equipment manufacturers (OEM) instructions where it’s safe and
relevant to do so prevent injuries or accidents.
18. Please never use non-food grade plastics for the reservoirs, cups, or any other food
contact surface for growing plants.

ASSEMBLY INSTRUCTIONS
1. Please check to make sure all the assembly parts have been included and are
intact prior to system assembly. All the parts are listed in the “Additional Help”
section of this manual.
2. IMPORTANT: Please thoroughly clean every part of the system prior to
assembly. Cleaning instructions are given in the safety instructions and can be
furnished by the Seller.
3. Gloves and safety glasses are recommended for assembly of the system for
PPE.
4. During assembly make sure not to plug anything in until after the whole system
has been checked for correct assembly.
5. Place the reservoir on a flat, non-slippery, level surface, and allow enough space
for you to safely maneuver around it. Please don’t fill it with liquid yet.

6. Insert the 2 X 5 tray inside the top of the reservoir.
7. (You can skip steps 7, 8, if you are not doing a full assembly). Take the trough
leg and trough and place them together like depicted in the picture below:

8. Place the 2 X 6 tray on top of the two troughs and trough legs tabs after they are
attached to the reservoir

9. Place the tray cover on top of the 2 X 5 and 2 X 6 tray (for full assembly).
Everything should be flat, and the tray cover and should seal the top.
10. After checking the submersible hydroponics pump for defects, and confirming it’s
safe, place the white hose adapter into the pump outlet. The pump outlet is the
hole at the top of the hydroponics pump. Only turn on the hydroponics pump
when the pump is fully submersed in water.

11. Before plugging the pump in verify that the flow rate control knob is turned to
lowest flow rate (see picture below). This will help keep your flow rate low.
12. With the pump off: place food grade tubing (.25” or 6.35 mm outer diameter) into
the output of the pump.
13. Without the pump being plugged in, place the pump with adapter into the
reservoir.

14. There’s a slot on the side of the reservoir for routing the hydroponic pump cord in
and out of the reservoir.
15. With the pump unplugged: Route the food grade tubing through the .265” hole in
the reservoir tray.
16. Continue to route the food grade tubing (or just tubing) through the slot of the
trough as seen in above picture. Complete the routing by pushing the tubing
through the .265” hole in the upper tray (2x6). Push the food grade 90 into the
tubing and pull back tubing until 90 is snug in hole.

17. Place the access door on the cover. Please don’t force the access door into
place, this is just a cover for easy removal.

LIGHTING ASSEMBLY INSTRUCTIONS
1. Please check to make sure all the assembly parts have been included and are intact
prior to system assembly. The parts are listed in the “Additional Information” section of
this manual.
2. Confirm that everything is unplugged before proceeding.
3. Insert the bottom pipe into both bases in the appropriately sized hole.

4. Take the upright pipe and place both into each base in the appropriately sized hole.
5. Place the adjuster on the upright pipe (on both sides). Be sure to match the proper
outer pipe diameter to the relevant adapter inner diameter.

6. Place the short upright pipe in the adapter on both sides.
7. Insert the short right pipe into the left and right hangers.
8. Place the top pipe in each hanger to complete the overhead of the design.

9. Attach both ratchet hook around top pipe on light stand and hook back on to itself.
10. *Important* Remove the plastic covers on the end of the fluorescent bulbs before
placing them into the light housing. Place the bulbs into the housing and turn ¼ of a full
turn or 90 degrees. Do this for all 4 bulbs.
11. With two people lift the lights and hook the lights to the ratchet hooks.

12. You can now use the ratchet function to raise and lower the lights as needed. You
can also raise the light support with the adjustable rods as needed.
13. To raise: Simply pull on the cord. To lower: While holding the light cable up with
your left hand, use your right hand to pull the metal lever that “locks” the ratchet. This
will cause it to “Freewheel” and it will drop. Remember to hold on to cable to prevent
lights from falling to the ground, or on your garden.
14. Plug in your light and turn it on to test the assembly. If it does not work, please
check the troubleshooting guide in this instruction manual.
15. Slide in the assembled lighting unit so that your plants have adequate lighting.
Please see the fully assembled model pictures in the “Additional Information” section for
extra help.

USER INSTRUCTIONS
1. After confirming a safe and correct assembly you can add water and will now be
able to plug in your pump and being to recirculate your water. We recommend
using RO water or as clean of water as possible. Do not use well water.
2. You can adjust your water flow rate using the knob on your submersible pump.
3. Once water has recirculated, and you have checked that flow is going to
reservoir, you can add nutrients. We recommend not adding nutrients for the first
week of germination, however.
4. Please see picture below for proper nutrient dispensing:
.

5. Place rockwool plug into each planting cup in use.
6. Insert the Cups in the tray holes
7. Place seeds on top of cup and push seeds down 1/8 of an inch into rockwool. We
recommend planting at least 4 seeds per cup. Please use seeds that are legal to
use in your growing location. We do not advocate, nor promote, the growth of
illegal plants.
8. For the first week do not add nutrients or have lights running, to improve
germination. If you are replanting and have nutrients being cycled for plants still
growing in the system that is fine, but your first planting will work best with no
nutrients or light until seeds germinate.
9. Once seeds have germinated and you have roots growing out of the rockwool
add your nutrients using the guide provided. The first dose will be a “Vegetative
Stage” dose. Use the syringe provided to accurately measure the required
nutrients. Try to stir or mix nutrients into reservoir to avoid high concentration
going directly into the pump and shocking the plants.
10.If plants are fruiting or flowering you can change nutrients when the plants are
mature enough to begin growing fruit.
11. Now set your timer by pushing the red button to the “timer” mode.

12. Turn the outer ring clockwise (it will not turn counter-clockwise) until the arrow
points to the current time.
13. Now push down the black tabs for the time you want the lights “ON.” The tabs
are in 15-minute increments. If you push tabs up, they will be in the “OFF” mode.
We recommend 16 hours on for most plants and 8 hours off. We found 6am –
10pm ON and 10pm – 6am OFF was a good cycle.
14. Once your timer is set plug it in the “TOP” outlet. This will leave room for your
pump plug-in to go on the bottom outlet.
