********************************Remove Old Thermostat********************************
1.Turn Off the Power
or
To ensure the power to your heating an cooling system has been turne off, try to turn on heating or cooling by changing the
temperature on your ol thermostat
2. Remove the old thermostat cover
Remove the ol thermostat’s front cover from the wall base. Some covers pull off easily, while others may nee to be
remove by prying the cover off with a screw river.
3. Label wires
Using your screw river, carefully unscrew one wire at a time from the terminal block an attach the correspon ing wire label
sticker.
Please note that not all terminals may be use , an that there’s no stan ar color co e for thermostat wires, so your wire
colors may vary.
For your reference, we’ve inclu e a terminal label reference chart as below to help you connect the wires in your ol
thermostat to your new thermostat in case you get stuck.

If your current terminal has the following letter Label the wires with the following letters Terminal function

Tip: Worrie about having your wires falling into your wall?
Keep the wires secure by wrapping them aroun a pencil.
4. Identify jumper wire
n your old thermostat, if… Then, on your new thermostat…
Terminal RC and RH are connected with a jumper wire Leave the jumper wire in its place
There’s only one R wire (RC, RH, R or R5) coming out of the wall Leave the jumper wire in its place
Terminal RC and RH (or 5 or R5) are NOT connected by a jumper wire
Remove the jumper wire between RC and RH
For terminal Y an W:
If you have a heat pump with reversing valve, connect Y an W with a jumper wire on your new thermostat.
5.Remove old thermostat base
With all of your wires isconnecte an properly labele , you may now safely remove the thermostat base from your wall.
************************Mounting and Wiring Your New Thermostat************************
1.Install new thermostat base
2.Connect wires to corresponding terminal blocks
Match each labele wire to it’s correspon ing terminal on the mounte thermostat base. Insert each labele wire into the hole of
it’s matching terminal, an using the screw river, tighten the screw on the terminal block securely.
3.Set switch and advanced wiring
4.Install the batteries and attach front cover
Install 2*AA alkaline batteries an push the front cover on to the thermostat base until it’s secure.
5.Turn on power
Turn on your power at the source.
Congratulations!
You’ve completed the thermostat installation process
Identify and label each wire
IGNORE WIRE COLORS:
Use terminal screw designations
to identify wires.
Mount your new thermostat base using screws. Drill holes an insert wall
anchors to secure the thermostat base to the wall, if necessary.
If you have either a gas or oil furnace, set the switch to GAS.
If you have an electric furnace, set the switch to ELEC.

******************************Check Thermostat Operation******************************
Fan operation
If your system oes not have a G terminal connection, skip to 5.2 Heating system.
Move FAN switch to ON position. The blower shoul begin to operate.
Move FAN switch to AUTO position. The blower shoul stop imme iately.
Heating system
Move SYSTEM switch to HEAT position. If the heating system has a stan ing pilot, be sure to light it.
Press  to a just thermostat setting room temperature. The heating system shoul begin to operate.
Press  to a just temperature setting below room temperature. The heating system shoul stop operating.
Cooling system
Move SYSTEM switch to COOL position.
Press  to a just thermostat setting below room temperature. The blower shoul come on imme iately on high spee ,
followe by bol air circulation.
Press 
to a just temperature setting above room temperature. The cooling system shoul stop operating.

Setting the temperature
Set the SYSTEM switch to either HEAT or COOL, then press the ▲ or ▼ button until the temperature you want to maintain is
shown on the right si e of the isplay. If you want to turn the system off, just move the SYSTEM switch to the OFF position an the
FAN switch to the AUTO position.
 Clock setting
Press the TIME button to enter into clock/week setting, press ▲ or ▼ buttons to a just respective values.
Hour-Minute-Week
Please adjust the hour correctly that associate with actual AM/PM.
 Filter review
Move the SYSTEM switch to the HEAT or COOL position, then press an hol the ▲ an ▼buttons for 5 secon s to review filter
running ays. To exit the review menu press the ▲ or ▼ buttons one time. Or If no buttons are presse within 15 secon s, the
thermostat will exit the configuration menu.
In review mode press and hold the ▲ and ▼ 15 sec. to clean the filter warning. It will show “dEF” blink.

 RESET function.
This function can help operator to recovery system when fault happene , isplay out of or er or system halte . Please use a pin
to insert in button RESET hole till soun e click, then loosen it.
Hold Temperature
With the SYSTEM switch set to HEAT or COOL, momentarily press the HOLD button. HOLD will be isplaye . Use
the ▲ or ▼ buttons to a just the temperature. The thermostat will control the room temperature at the selecte setting
until you press the RUN button to restart the program operation.
Temperature Override (When in the program RUN mo e) .
Press the ▲ or ▼ buttons to select the esire room temperature. The thermostat will overri e the current programming an keep the
Room temperature at the selecte temperature until the next program perio begins. The thermostat will then revert back to the
program temperatures.
Move the SYSTEM switch to the OFF position, then press an hol the PRGM an RUN buttons for 3 secon s to enter the
configuration menu. The isplay will show the first item in the configuration menu. Use the ▲or▼ buttons to a just respective
values.Press the PRGM =next menu item, press TIME = previous menu item.
All settings will revert to factory efault values by press the RESET hole button, inclu ing program settings.
To exit the configuration menu an return to normal operation, press the RUN button.
If no buttons are presse within 130 secon s, the thermostat will exit the configuration menu automatically.
The configuration menu chart summaries the configuration options. An explanation of each option follows.

Thermostat Operation
Configuration Menu
The configuration menu allows you to set certain thermostat operating characteristics to your system or personal
requirements. It is also calle as ISU(Installation Set-Up) process.

0 = Gas, oil, or electric heating.
1 = Heat pump heating.
Default = 0

Notes:
1. The FA setting is used to produce shorter Heating/Cooling cycles. The SL setting produces a longer Heating/Cooling cycle.
Both settings produce very accurate temperature control and can be set to your personal pre erence. FA cycles the system
at a 0.5ºF (0.5ºC) di erential, and SL cycles the system at 1.5ºF (1.5ºC).
2. When operated rom batteries only, the LCD display backlight will be illuminated less than 5 seconds a ter each button
pressed, options (2) & (3) will operate the same when terminal “C” is not connected.
3. The thermostat will display the Filter Alarm a ter a set time o operation. This is a reminder to change or clean your air
ilter. This time can be set rom 0 to 12 months in 1 month increments. Selection o 00 WILL CANCEL THIS FEATURE.
When Filter Alarm is displayed, you can clear it by pressing the ▲ and ▼ buttons. This resets the timer and starts
counting the days until the next ilter change.
4. Select compressor lockout delay 0,1,2,3,4,5 To protect the compressor rom short cycling, you can select compressor
o -time cycle between 0 to 5 minutes. When the thermostat compressor time delay occurs, the Cool On or Heat On display
will lash during compressor lockout.
5. Select Intelligence Energy Management Recovery OFF or ON – Energy Management Recovery (EMR) causes the thermostat to
start heating or cooling early to make the building temperature reach the program set-point at the time you speci y. Heating will
start 5 minutes early or every 1° o temperature required to reach set-point.

Example:
You select EMR and have your heating programmed to 65° at night and 70° at 7 AM. I the building temperature is 65° the
di erence between 65° and 70° is 5°. Allowing 5 minutes per degree the thermostat set-point will change to 70° at 6:35 AM.
Vice versa or Cooling.
 Always turn off power at the main power source by removing the fuse, or switching the circuit breaker to the off position before
installing, removing, cleaning, or servicing this thermostat.
 Use this thermostat only as escribe in this manual. Rea all of the information in this manual before installing this thermostat.
 Use a professional personnel / installer to install this thermostat.
 This is a 24VAC low-voltage thermostat, o not install on voltages higher than 30 vac.
 ALL wiring must conform to local an national buil ing an electrical co es an or inances.
 Do not short (jumper) across terminals on the gas valve or at the system control to test installation.
This will amage the thermostat an voi the warranty.
 Do not switch the system to cool if the temperature is below 50ºF (10ºC). This may amage the air con itioning system.
 Replace batteries when the battery icon in icates the low battery message.
 Change the Air Filter when the Filter Change Icon begins blinking.
This section will help you plan your thermostat’s program to meet your nee s. For maximum comfort an efficiency, keep the
following gui elines in min when planning your program:
 When heating (cooling) your buil ing, program the temperatures to be cooler (warmer) when the buil ing is vacant or uring
perio s of low activity.
During early morning hours, the nee for cooling is usually minimal.
The time of ay clock must be set correctly in or er for the programme perio s to be correct
Look at the factory pre-programme times an temperatures shown in the example sche ule. If this program as below will suit your
nee s, simply press the RUN button to begin running the factory preset program.
Factory Pre-Programmed Example:
If you want to change the pre-programme times an temperatures, follow these steps.
Determine the time perio s an temperatures for your week ay an weeken programs. You must program 4 perio s for both the
week ay an weeken program. However, you may use the same heating an cooling temperatures for consecutive time perio s. You
can choose start times, heating temperatures, an cooling temperatures in epen ently for both week ay an weeken programs (for
example, you may select 5:00 AM an 70° as the week ay 1st period heating start time an temperature, an also choose 7:00 AM
an 76° as the week ay 1st period cooling start time an temperature).
Use the table below to plan your program time perio s an the temperatures you want uring each perio . Fill in the complete table
to have a recor of your program.

Move the SYSTEM switch to the HEAT/COOL position.
Press PRGM once. SET PRGM will isplay, below items will also appear in the isplay:

--WAKE 1 Period in icates the first perio of each week ay
--Start Time in icates the WAKE 1 Perio start time.
Press the ▲ or ▼ buttons to select the esire 1st heating/cooling perio start time. The time changes with 15 minute increments.
Press the TIME button to switch to the esire WAKE 1 Perio temperature setting.
Press PRGM again, switch to LEAVE 2 Perio setting. Press the ▲ or ▼ buttons to select the esire LEAVE 2 Perio start time,
press the TIME button to switch to the esire LEAVE 2 Perio temperature setting.
Repeat the above steps to set esire start time an temperature for RETURN 3 Perio an SLEEP 4 Perio .
Press PRGM again, an SAT SUN in icating weeken programming parameters setting.
Repeat step 5 to complete Satur ay an Sun ay programming as above.
When you have complete entering your heating/cooling program, press RUN.
If a voltage spike or static ischarge blanks out the isplay or causes erratic thermostat operation you can reset the thermostat by
pressing RESET hole button, this also resets the factory efaults to the configuration menu an program. If the thermostat has power,
has been reset an still oes not function correctly contact your heating/cooling service person or place of purchase.
