Warnings
Intended Use
Gates enable transfers from a X-Y traverse
system to a ceiling mounted rail, or the other
way around in a safe manner (for example,
the passage from a ceiling mounted rail to a
traverse rail).
The Gate is an integral part of fixed and
portable lifting rails used in health care,
intensive care and rehabilitation.
Human Care’s products are continuously being
developed and updated and we reserve the
right to make design changes without prior
notice.

The gates and interlocking
accessories are intended for use
only with the gate system and
must be correctly fitted to avoid
risk of injury or damage.
Personnel who use the gate
system have been given adequate
training and understand its
operation.
The right type, size, material and
design of accessories have been
selected by a professional with
respect to the client´s safety and
needs.
Do not touch any parts which
may have leakage current and
the patient simultaneously (for
example, parts of the plug in
modules).
Disconnect the power supply
during maintenance.
Product modification is not
permitted and will void the
warranty.
Use only the supplied power
supply.
Do not use fingers to activate
sensors.
To avoid the risk of electric shock,
this equipment must only be
connected to a supply main with
protective earth.
The gate system may only be used
with Human Care products.

Understanding the Gate and Interlocking Systems
The gate system includes a gate (for blocking/opening the rail) and an interlocking system (for locking
functions). The gate system can only be used with Human Care rail installations. It connects using a
24V DC via an external power supply. Use only the power supply provided with the unit. The gates
and interlocking mechanisms are driven by electrical motors and have two optical sensors, one
located on each gate. Locking and unlocking of the gate and the interlocking unit can only occur when
optical sensors are activated by a rail roller.
How the product works: Move the ceiling lift to the “gate end stop” and then align the traverse rail
of the X-Y system. When the tracks are aligned properly, a beep indicates the next action is possible.
The interlock opens and the ceiling lift can pass through onto the fixed track. When returning the
ceiling lift to the traverse rail, the interlock automatically unlocks and secures the clamp at the ends.

on the interlocking unit.
This product has been tested by an accredited
test institute and complies with the necessary
requirements in accordance with medical
requirements as follows: EN 10535, EN 60601-1
(Electrical Safety) and EN 60601-1-2 (EMC). This
product is CE marked.

Installation
To mount a traverse system with a gate (55721),
please follow the guide in our installation
manual (99646). Only certified technicians
are allowed to install the gate system. Please
contact Human Care to get access to the
document.
Annual inspection is required.
The Gates should be checked along with the
lifting system.
Take special care to check any parts that may be
exposed to wear and tear.
Cleaning
When cleaning the surfaces use an acid and
chloride-free detergent, like warm water or a
soap solution, with a soft cotton swab.
The cleaning sessions shall always end with a
water rinse and drying with a cotton swab. The
product must be dry before attaching to the
lift.
Storage
Transport and store horizontally. The climatic
conditions should be as follows:
Ambient Temperature from 0to 40C
Relative Ambient Humidity from 30% to 80%
Ambient Pressure from 790hPa to 1060hPa

Beskrivning Grind och Traversväxel
Grind och traversväxel kan endast användas med Human Care-skensystem. Den ansluts med en 24V
DC via en extern strömförsörjning. Använd endast den strömförsörjning som medföljer enheten.
Grindarna och låsmekanismerna drivs av elektriska motorer och har två optiska sensorer, en på varje
grind. Löpvagn och upplåsning av grinden och låsningsenheten kan endast ske när optiska sensorer
aktiveras av en löpvagn.
Hur produkten fungerar: Flytta taklyften till “grind”. Justera skenan i X-Y-systemet i linje med det
fasta skenan. När spåren är inriktade indikerar en pipningssensor den möjliga åtgärden. Porten
öppnas och taklyften kan gå igenom porten på det fasta spåret. När taklyften ska återgå till X-Y-
systemet låser porten automatiskt upp och grindarna låser.

Montering
För att montera ett traverssystem
med en Gate (55721), följ guiden i vår
installationsmanual Gate systemet (99646).
Endast utbildade montörer får installera gates.
Hör av dig till Human Care för att få tillgång till
installationsmanual.
Årlig inspektion
Traversväxeln bör kontrolleras tillsammans
med lyftsystemet. Kontrollera delar som kan
utsättas för slitage extra noga.
Rengöring
Vid rengöring av ytorna ska syra och kloridfritt
rengöringsmedel, som varmt vatten eller
en tvållösning, med en mjuk bomullspinne
användas.
Rengöringssessionerna ska alltid avslutas
med vattensköljning och torkning med en
bomullspinne. Produkten måste vara torr innan
den monteras i hissen.
Lagring
Tranporteras och lagras liggande horisontellt.
Klimatförhållandena bör vara enligt följande:

Comprendre le jonction et le système de verrouillage
Le jonction et le système de verrouillage peuvent être utilisés seulement avec les installations de rail
de Human Care. Cet appareil est alimenté avec une alimentation continue externe. Veillez à n’utiliser
que l’adaptateur fourni avec le produit. Les jonctions et les mécanismes de verrouillage sont entraînés
par des moteurs électriques et possèdent deux capteurs optiques, un situé sur chaque porte. Le
verrouillage et le déverrouillage du jonction et de l’unité de verrouillage ne peuvent se produire que
lorsque des capteurs optiques sont activés par un rouleau.
Fonctionnement du produit : Déplacez le lève-personne à la « butée de jonction », puis alignez le
rail transversal du système X-Y. Lorsque les rails sont correctement alignés, un bip indique que
l’action suivante est possible. Le verrouillage s’ouvre et le lève-personne peut passer sur le rail
fixe. Lors du retour du lève-personne sur le rail transversal, le verrouillage déverrouille et sécurise
automatiquement la pince aux extrémités.

Installation
Pour monter un système traversal avec une
jonction (55721), veuillez suivre les instructions
de notre manuel d’installation (99646). Seuls les
techniciens certifiés sont autorisés à installer le
système de levage. Veuillez communiquer avec
Human Care pour avoir accès au document.
Une inspection annuelle est requise.
Les jonctions doivent être vérifiées avec le
système de levage.
Faites particulièrement attention à vous assurer
que les pièces sont exemptes de toute trace
d’usure.
Nettoyage
Lors du nettoyage des surfaces, utilisez un
détergent sans acide ni chlorure, comme de
l’eau chaude ou une solution de savon, avec un
coton-tige doux.
Les séances de nettoyage doivent toujours se
terminer par un rinçage à l’eau et un séchage
avec un coton-tige. Le produit doit être sec
avant de se fixer au lève-personne.
Stockage
Les jonctions doivent être transportées et
remises en position horizontale. Les conditions
climatiques doivent être comme suit : une
température ambiante comprise entre 0 °C et
40 °C, une humidité relative de l’air de 30 % à
80 % et une pression de l’air entre 790 hPa et
1060 hPa.
