Safety Instrucons
• Check that the client is sing securely in the
sling before starng to li him/her.
• Check that the li is balanced when moving,
raising and/or lowering the client. If you
are using a Human Care li with telescopic
hanger bar, it is important that the bar hooks
are in the same posion on both sides.
• Our slings have been designed and tested
for indoor use with one client at a me and
must only be used for transferring a person.
This product is not a swing.
• Make sure no sharp objects are in contact
with the sling.
IncorrectCorrect
The process of liing and moving a person
always involves risks. Therefore, you must read
the user manuals for the li and the liing
equipment carefully. Always make sure that
the liing equipment you are using is intended
for use with the li. As a care provider, you are
responsible for the client’s safety and you must
know whether the client will be able to cope
with the liing process. The sling must be ed
to meet the client’s specic needs. If you are in
any doubt, please contact the supplier.
• Carry out a careful visual inspecon of the
sling every me you use it.
• Check that the right sling is being used for
the client. The model, size and material must
meet the client’s needs.
• Plan the moving and liing process so that it
is as safe as possible.
• Before raising the client, check that the sling
is correctly aached to the li/hanger bar
once the li straps are stretched.
• It is important that the hooks of the hanger
bar are in the correct posion, with the
opening of the hook facing upwards on both
sides to securely hold the straps in place.
Recheck the posion of the hooks once the
li straps are stretched.
• It is important to always check that the loops
are at the boom of all hooks (see pictures)
and securely placed below the locking pin on
all hooks.

Silhouee slings
The Human Care Silhouee Slings are models
with neck support, which are specially desig-
ned for moving people to and from narrow
seang such as wheelchairs and moulded seats.
Depending on the acvity and the ability of the
client, the arms can be inside or outside. The
slings have no handles or reinforcements that
may cause pressure sores. This means that it is
possible to leave the sling in the chair behind
the client for short periods of me.
The net slings are made of a low-fricon poly-
ester net. The advantage of this material is that
the sling is easy to t and dries quickly aer
washing or aer the client has taken a bath.
The So Air Mesh is a lightweight, cool, so,
and breathable mesh fabric. It is made of a
moisture-wicking fabric, that pulls moisture
away from the skin through the fabric where it
can evaporate quickly. This material is an-bac-
terial meaning that it is easier to maintain a
beer hygiene.
The Silhouee slings are designed for two-,
three- and four-point suspension.
Technical Specicaons
It is crucial to use the right size of sling for the
client. To help dierenate our sizes, they are
colour coded for quick idencaon. The colour
code is found next to the sling’s label in the shape
of a loop. This loop can also be used to properly
store or hang the sling.

Compability
Human Care Group slings are designed for use
with all Human Care lis and hanger bars. The
products are also compable with products of
other suppliers ulizing the same aachment
method for securing slings to a hanger bar and
li. However, due to the wide range of products
worldwide, Human Care cannot be responsible
for any errors that may result from improper
use or applicaon of combinaons of slings,
hanger bars and lis of other suppliers. The use
of the combined system is at the prescriber’s
own risk and liability.
To ensure the safety of the client and caregiver,
Human Care recommends the following mini-
mum requirements:
1. When using slings with lis and hang-
er bars, made by manufacturers other
than Human Care, the combined system
needs to be designed with the same sling
aachment method for the hanger bar of
oor lis and ceiling lis, meaning loop
style slings are combined with a loop style
hanger bar, clip style slings are combined
with a clip style hanger bar.
2. The involved paent lis and sling must be
CE marked in accordance with the medical
device direcve, MDD 93/42/
EEG / upcoming MDR 2017/75 and comply
with standard requirements for paent lis
as stated in EN ISO 10535.
3. The caregiver must follow the manufactu-
rer’s instrucon manuals and recommen-
daons with respect to the use, care,
client, caregiver, cleaning, and inspecon
of the slings and lis.
4. Dierent products on the assembled li
system: i.e., li, hanger bar, sling, scale and
other accessories may have dierent max.
loads. It is always the lowest maximum
allowable load indicated for the respecve
products and the system that applies for
the enre system.
Always check the markings on all individual
products in the system.
5. Individual risk assessment, including a
praccal test of the system and validaon
with the specic combinaon used are
required to arm that the size of the sling
is correct for the intended use and compa-
ble to the width and design of the hanger
bar. The combined system needs to be
documented by the competent assessor.
If there are any quesons, please contact your
local Human Care oce or distributor.

Liing the client from a lying posion
1. Lay the client on his/her side. Posion the
sling so that the centre of the sling lines
up with the client’s spine. Take note of the
marking on the sling “This way out, back”.
The boom part of the sling must be
directly under the client’s coccyx. Roll the
client over onto his/her other side and pull
the sling through. Lay the client on his/her
back. If the bed is height-adjustable, it is a
good idea to raise the head of the bed so
that the client is in a semi-sing posion.
2. Pull the leg secons through between the
client’s legs. Lower the li to the height of
the client’s stomach. When a three-point
suspension is used, you should thread the
le leg secon through the loop on the
outside of the right leg secon. Aach the
leg secon liing straps to the leg hook
on the li. Aach the back secon liing
straps to the li. Hold the li away from
the client’s face with one hand as you raise
it.
Alternave: The sling can also be used for
two- or four-point suspension. In this case
the loop on the right leg secon is not
used and the leg secons are crossed.
3. Aach the neck support liing straps to
the li bar. Pause in this posion and
check that all the liing straps are securely
aached to the hooks.

4. Connue liing the client. It may be ne-
cessary to lower the bed slightly. Raise the
client’s legs slightly while turning him/her
away from the bed. It is a good idea to put
your arm around the client while you are
moving him/her to create a greater sense
of security.
Liing the client from a sing posion
1. Pull the sling down behind the client’s
back. Take note of the marking on the sling
(outside up). The boom edge of the sling
must be behind the client’s coccyx. Pull the
leg secons through to the front.
2. Pull the leg secons up between the
client’s legs. Lower the li to the height of
the clients’s stomach. When a three-point
suspension is used, you should thread the
le leg secon through the loop on the
outside of the right leg secon. Aach the
leg secon liing straps to the leg hook on
the li. Turn the li around and aach the
back secon liing straps onto the li bar.
Hold the li away from the client’s face
with one hand as you raise the li.
Alternave: The sling can also be used for

stöd speciellt lämpade för föryningar ll och
från exempelvis trånga rullstolar och formgjutna
sitsar. På selarna nns inga handtag eller förstyv-
ningar vilka kan ge upphov ll trycksår. Möjlighe-

a bibehålla en bäre hygien.

a människor är olika och a vi alla har våra
egna önskemål och krav.
För a erbjuda alla våra vårdtagare bästa be-

lyöglorna i bygeln. Notera: Denna metod ökar risken
för a vårdtagaren kan glida ur selen.
En individuell bedömning av vårdtagarens be-
hov måste alld genomföras innan en alternav
upphängning väljs.
