1. Introduction
HIGH ACCURACY, COMPACT DIGITAL HANGING SCALE FOR ALL LOW
CAPACITY WEIGHING NEEDS. Humboldt’s advanced design makes this remarkable
hanging scale the first choice over other electronic units. It’s value packed with the
industry’s most wanted features. Our ultra-high resolution, 12-bit A/D converter
provides highest accuracy available ±0.1% of applied load.
Our unique design flexibility lets you choose the model and weighing capacity you need
–ranging from 25 to 500 lbs / 12.5 to 250 kg. Keypad setup and digital calibration
enhance ease of operation.
All electronics are shock mounted in a weatherproof ABS plastic case. This assures
maximum protection against moisture, dust and rough usage. High visibility ½” / 12 mm
LCD digital readout provides easy reading of weights; membrane push button switches
allow simple trouble-free operation.
Power is supplied by one 9-volt alkaline battery.

3. Operations
3.1 On/Off
Press this button to turn the crane scale on. The unit tests itself; when these tests
have completed successfully, the system begins weighing. Press this button again
to turn the unit off.
3.2 Zero
Tells the crane scale to display a zero weight. If you press ZERO with weight on
the pad, that weight becomes the zero condition for the scale. When this weight
is removed, a negative shows until the system is zeroed again.
Note: If this negative number is too large to fit on the display, the scale will
display “zero” until you press ZERO.
The scale contains a feature called Auto Zero Tracking (AZT), which corrects for
slight zero changes during normal operation. If small weights are added slowly,
the crane scale could zero them off.
3.3 Lb/Kg

This button toggles the display between pounds and kilograms. After pressing
this button the unit will display: 1) “Lbs”, if you have now switched to display in
pounds. 2) “I-gs (for Kgs), if you have now switched to display in kilograms.
3.4 Peak Hold Mode
To get into peak hold mode press the Lb/Kg and Zero keys together (Calibration
blocking shunt must be in place). The unit will momentarily display “Peak”. In
this mode the unit will display only the highest force applied to the pad –until
you press the Zero key. To exit peak hold mode press the Lb/Kg and Zero keys
together again. The unit will momentarily display “nor” to indicate you have
switched back to normal operating mode.
Note: The unit will always turn on in “normal” operating mode.
3.5 Changing the Battery
Turn the power off. Slide the battery hatch down. Next, remove the battery from
the case and unsnap the used battery. Snap in the new battery and replace the
battery in the case. Replace the cover.
3.6 Error Messages
Over: The crane scale is over capacity. Reduce the load on the pad.
Zero: Display error, the crane scale is unable to display the negative number
completely. Press the ZERO button to re-zero the scale thereby
solving the problem. NOTE: Every time you press ZERO the scale
will momentarily “zero”.
Batt: Low battery, the unit requires a new battery. It will shut-off if this
message is ignored for too long.
