Thank you for buying the HumminGuru S-DUO. To apply this product
safely and properly, please read the manual thoroughly and well
understand before use. After reading, please keep the manual handy.

Safety Precautions
Important! Read all instructions carefully before use and keep it for
future reference.
The HumminGuru S-DUO executes two main functions: ultrasonic cleaning and vertical
down force measurement. The device is limited to serve for turntable stylus only and
applicable to moving magnet and the moving coil cartridge. This page is mainly referred
to safety precautions to prevent property damage and danger to the users and others.
After understanding the indication and the symbols clearly, please read thoroughly and
follow the instructions strictly.
• DO read the instructions on your device before installing batteries.
Only use the size and type of battery specied in the instructions.
• DO keep the batteries in a safe place away from children and pets.
• DO insert the batteries properly. Follow the symbols showing the
correct way to position the positive (+) and negative (-) ends of the
batteries.
• DO remove all batteries from the device at the same time and replace
them with new batteries of the same size and type.
• DO remove the batteries when it is not expected to be used for
extended periods of time (>6 months).

• DO secure the battery compartment.
• DO NOT mix old and new batteries, or mix different types or makes
of batteries. This can cause leakage or rupture, resulting in personal
injury or property damage.
• DO NOT use rechargeable batteries.
• DO NOT insert batteries with wet hands.
• DO NOT clean anything except the turntable stylus.
• DO NOT measure anything except the turntable cartridge.
• DO NOT overload the scale platform with anything ≥10 grams.
Failing to do so may cause damage or deform the sensitivity of the
device’s sensor.
• The device contains small parts that can be swallowed or produce
a choking hazard to children. Always keep the device out of
children’s reach.
• DO NOT overll the water basin.
• DO NOT operate the device without water inside the water basin.
• DO NOT move and tilt the device during operation.
• DO NOT leave the device unintended during operation.
• DO NOT put foreign body, hot water, alcohol, and any other forms of
liquid except water.
• DO NOT put the turntable stylus roughly into the water basin or on top
of the scale platform.
• DO NOT drop the device.
• Keep the device on level surface.
• DO clean up the water basin with cotton swab or damp cloth after use.
This device can be used by children aged from 8 years and above and persons with
reduced physical, sensory or mental capabilities or lack of experience and knowledge if
they have been given supervision or instruction concerning the use of the equipment a
safe way and understand the hazards involved. Children shall not play with the device.
Cleaning and user maintenance shall not be made by children without supervision.
Individual applications are subject to great variation. Prior to use, the user should
determine whether this device is suitable, adequate, or safe for the use intended.

• DO NOT expose the device to water or immerse the device in water.

Ultrasonic Cleaning Mode
The ultrasonic cleaning ( ) is a default mode. The cleaning process takes 20
seconds per cycle and the countdown timer on the screen indicates the number of
seconds. During the cleaning cycle, mode switching is not allowed. Simply power-off
the device by touching the ( ) for 3 seconds to stop the cleaning cycle if needed.

the rubber support properly
onto the water basin, place
the cartridge to test out the
compatibility, and select the
best t*1.
Must insert the rubber support properly onto the
water basin, and then use the water dropper to
ll up the basin with water before starting the
ultrasonic cleaning mode.
Rest the cartridge gently on top of the
scale platform and place the stylus
aligned with the black dot indicated.
• DO NOT overload the scale platform
with anything ≥10 grams. Failing to
do so may cause damage or deform
the sensitivity of the device’s sensor.
• DO NOT measure anything except
the turntable cartridge.
The aluminium digital pressure gauge is used to determine the stylus tracking force.
• DO NOT operate the cleaning mode without
water in the water basin.
*1 The stylus cantilever should not be leaned against the stylus rubber support, and the stylus tip
should not be rested on the base of the water basin.

5g Mass Weight
Reset Zero
It is essential to check the scale at regular intervals
to achieve accurate weighing results. Place the 5g
mass weight on the scale and check if it is within
predetermined limits (the tolerance of the 5g mass
weight is ±0.01g). If not, touch ( ) to reset zero.
Resetting to zero can only be done when
the device is on the pressure gauge mode.
Simply touch the pressure gauge mode ( )
once to reset zero. The HumminGuru S-DUO is supplied with four 1.5V Type AAA (LR 03) batteries.
For best performance, we recommend Duracell® Alkaline batteries.
1. Open the battery compartment
by removing the screw with the
Phillips head screwdriver.
2. Install/replace with the new
batteries, making sure the poles
are in the right direction.
3. Close the compartment cover
properly and tighten the screw
with the Phillips head screwdriver.
The lid is a removable cover for the device.
Always put the lid on for protection.
• Keep the weight out of reach from children.
• Pick up the device by holding the lid may
result in dropping. Pick up the device
from the bottom of the device.

Use the dust-proof drying pad provided and place it on the water basin to quickly
absorb the water after the ultrasonic cleaning. Gently rest the stylus on the pad for
water absorption if necessary. **Wet the drying pad before use.

Setting up the Device Using Ultrasonic Cleaning

Open the lid. Select one of the stylus rubber support that suits for your cartridge
and place it onto the water basin.
Notice: Go to page 8 for instruction
Water Level
Install 4 new AAA batteries
Load the dropper with water and gently ll the water
basin up to the level as indicated. Adjust the water
level accordingly to avoid water leakage.

Ultrasonic Cleaning mode is on by default when the device is turned on.

Rest the cartridge on top of the rubber support and ensure the stylus tip is
submerged in the water. Flip the device 180 degree if the user switches to the pressure gauge mode after
ultrasonic cleaning.

Use the drying pad for water
absorption, lift up and reposition
the tonearm on the turntable.
• Do not put foreign body, hot water, and any other forms of
liquid except water.
• Place the rubber support on the top of the water basin
before use. Do not allow the stylus tip resting on the base
of the water basin during the cleaning cycle. Failing to do so
may cause damage to the turntable stylus.

When the pressure gauge is overloaded ≥10g, three dashes
symbol will appear on the display.
Must place the device on level surface before turning
on the power. DO NOT overload the scale platform
with ≥ 150g objects.
Battery is low. Unable to operate ultrasonic cleaning mode
properly, but the pressure gauge can still operate correctly.
Flashing screen during ultrasonic mode when the battery is
low. Unable to operate ultrasonic cleaning mode properly.
Replacement of batteries is required.

Clean the water basin and wipe away excess
water with a cotton swab or a damp cloth

HumminGuru warrants this product against defects in material or workmanship for
the original purchaser/user for one year from the original date of receipt of product.
Pursuant to this Limited Warranty, HumminGuru will, at its option, (i) repair the product
using new or refurbished parts, or (ii) replace the product with a new or re-certied/
refurbished product. In the event of a defect, these are your exclusive remedies.
This Limited Warranty covers only the device except for the cleaner lid, the water
dropper, the rubber supports, and the mass weight, and the drying pad.
Repair/Replacement Warranty
HumminGuru is not responsible for, and this Limited Warranty does not cover, any
damage arising from a failure to operate the product within its intended uses, or
otherwise follow the owner’s manual and safety instructions relating to the product’s
use and installation. HumminGuru is not responsible for any labor or parts costs
you incur relating to repairs or services from providers/ servicers other than from
HumminGuru authorized providers/servicers. This Limited Warranty only covers
product issues caused by defects in material or workmanship during ordinary
consumer use. This Limited Warranty is non- transferable. No other warranty, written
or oral, is authorized by HumminGuru.
This Limited Warranty does not cover products purchased from sources other than
HumminGuru or HumminGuru authorized dealers (including non-authorized online
auctions), or issues due to (i.) Outdoor exposure and other acts of nature; (ii.) Lack
of reasonable care; (iii.) Accidental damage; (iv.) Misuse or abuse; (v.) The axing
of any attachment not provided with the product; (vi.) Damage, malfunction and/ or
failure to product resulting from use of parts or supplies not sold or authorized by
HumminGuru; (vii.) Damage; malfunction and/or failure to product resulting from
servicing not authorized or performed by HumminGuru; (viii.) Modications of or
to any of the product; (ix.) Loss of part; (x.) Use of unauthorized chemical cleaning
agents or liquids.
LIMITATION ON DAMAGES:
HUMMINGURU SHALL NOT BE LIABLE FOR ANY INCIDENTAL OR CONSEQUENTIAL
DAMAGES DUE TO A DEFECTIVE PRODUCT OR FOR BREACH OF ANY EXPRESS OR
IMPLIED WARRANTY OR CONDITION ON THIS PRODUCT.
