Precautions for Safe Use
The following safety precautions can help you prevent unexpected dangers or losses in advance by using the product in a safe
and accurate manner. Make sure that you read the following and use the product as instructed. Please read this Instruction
Manualcarefullyand keepitforreference.
These signs are designed to draw your attention to matters and operations that might be considered dangerous.
Please check these carefully and follow the instructions to avoid danger. Failure to comply with such labels may
result in serious injury, death, or significant damage to the product.
• Use onlytheoutlet exclusivelyforac 120V rated
for 12A or higher and grounded. If the power
cord is damaged, it may cause electric shock
or fire. It maycause troubleor malfunction.For
your safety, make sure that you use a grounded
outlet. It should not be grounded to gas pipes,
plastic water pipes, or telephone lines.
• Careless use of the product may fray or tear
the sheath of the power cord, which may
further result in fire or electric shock. Make
sure that you regularly check the conditions of
the power cord, plug, and outlet. If the power
cord is damaged, do not attempt to repair or
alter it yourself. Please contact our service
center or your local representative. Securely
plug the power cord all the way into an outlet.
• Do not forcibly bend, tie, damage, or pull
the power cord. Do not place it near a high-
temperature source or heat source, such as a
gas cooktop. Do not place a heavy object on top
of it or wedgeit intoa narrow space. A damaged
power cord can cause fire or electric shock.
• Do not plug in or pull out the power cord with
wet hands. Doing so may cause electric shock
or injury.
• Never attempt to alter it. Do not attempt to
dismantle or repair it yourself. Do not insert
foreign objects, such as a finger, chopstick,
spoon, fork, or hairpin, into any cracks or holes
in the product.
• If the power cord is damaged, do not attempt
to repair or alter it yourself. Please contact
Hurom's Customer Center and have it
inspected.
• Never clean the main body by immersing it in
water orsplashing waterover it. If water or any
foreign object has entered the main body, then
unplug the power cord and contact Hurom's
Customer Center.
• Never clean the main body by immersing it in
water. Do not let water get on the power plug.
Do not wipe it with chemicals, such as paint
thinners, benzene, or aerosol sprays. Avoid
storing it in hot and humid places.
• Do not attempt to scrape off ingredients
stuck to the jar walls or mix ingredients while
the power is on. Before you scrape off stuck
ingredients or mix ingredients, make sure that
you separate the jar from the main body first.
• Do not install or use the product in a place
where water can enter the product, such as a
kitchen sink or bathroom. Do not operate the
switches with wet hands. Only use the product
on a flat and dry surface. Make sure that no
water or foreign material enters the switches on
the product. It may cause fire or electric shock.
• Do not plug multiple appliances into a single
multi-outlet extension cord and use them at
the same time. Please use a separate outlet
for the product.
• Do not move the product while in use. Never
put in anything other than ingredients and
the pusher, such as your hands or utensils, in
the jar. Putting your hands or other utensils in
the jar can result in serious injury, accident, or
malfunction.
• Do not use the product by yourself if you are
not used to handling it. Anyone with physical or
mental conditions, children, or users who lack
experience or knowledge of this product must
have a guardian present while using it.
• Do not use it within reach of children. Children
should be supervised to make sure that they
don't play with this product. If children touch or
push over the product, this may result in injury
or malfunction.
• Before you attach or detach parts, when the
product is not in use, or before you clean it,
make sure that you turn the power off and then
unplug the power cord. Before you clean the
product or when it's not in use, turn the power
switch off, and then unplug the power cord.
Make sure that you pull out the power cord by
the plug, not the cord.
• If you need to put your hands or kitchen
utensils in the jar, make sure that the product
has stopped running completely, and then
unplug the power cord. Avoid letting your
hands near the sharp end of the blade while
handling or cleaning it. Be careful of the blade
as it is sharp.
• Do not use the product in places that present
fire risk or are humid. Do not place the product
on top of or near a hot gas cooktop, microwave,
or kitchen appliance.
• Only operate the blender with the lid on. Only
use the provided blade inside the jar. If the
product is damaged, then stop using it. Please
have it inspected or repaired at Hurom's
Customer Center.

• Before you clean the blender, make sure that
you disconnect the power cord from the outlet.
Never clean the product without following the
instructions. Do not clean it using a method
other than the one specified in the Instruction
Manual. Make sure that you refer to the
Instruction Manual when you clean it.
• Donotputmoreingredientsthanthemaximum
amount specified in the recommended
usage table. Maintain the amount of water
or ingredients at a minimum of 250 ml or
maximum of 2000 ml. Do not fill the jar with
more water or ingredients than the maximum
amount. Otherwise, it may overflow.
• Do not touch the sharp blade directly with
your hands. If you need to clean it, then use a
cleaning tool, such as a cleaning brush.
• Do not use the product outdoors.
• Do not lift the jar or open the cover while
the product is in operation. Do not leave
the product on and idle. This can shorten
the product's life. It may also cause injury,
malfunction, or damage.
• Place it on a flat surface before use. Otherwise,
it may cause injury or malfunction.
• Do notdrop the productorsubject itto extreme
shock. It can cause electric shock, damage, or
fire.
• Separate the jar once the product stops
running completely. Before you scrape off
stuck ingredients or mix ingredients, make sure
that you separate the jar from the main body
first.
• Wait until the blade stops running completely
before you separate the blender from the main
body. Do not attempt to separate the blade from
the jar. The blade can't be separated from the
glass jar. Pay attention to safety.
• This product rotates at a high speed, and thus
it makes noise while rotating. This is common
and doesn't affect your use of the product. If it
produces excessive heat or smoke, then stop
using it immediately and contact Hurom's
Customer Center.
• There may be a burning smell when you use
the product for the first time, but it goes away
after a few uses. This is common and doesn't
affect your use of the product.
• Before you start using the product, make sure
that the main body, jar, and lid are all correctly
attached (assembled).
• This appliance is for household use only.Do not
use it for commercial purposes.
• Do not attempt to grind a large amount of
ingredients at once. Otherwise, it may damage
the parts.
• Remove all packaging materials and labels
before use. The protective material attached
to the glass jar must also be removed before
use.
• For safety, keep the packaging materials
(plastic bags, bubble wraps, etc.) out of reach
of children.
• Do not use the blender for longer than five
minutes as it may shorten its lifespan.
• Use the pusher for cold ingredients only. To
avoid overheating, do not operate the product
in manual mode forlongerthanone minute. Do
not operate the product with hot ingredients in
it. Leave hot ingredients to cool down at room
temperature, and then put them in the jar.
• When making a smoothie, break solid frozen
ingredients into tiny pieces, and then put them
in the jar.
• Extremely hard spices like nutmeg or
ingredients like Sanghwang mushrooms can
damage the blade.
• Do not clean the product at 80ºC or a higher
temperature. Do not put it in a dishwasher,
dryer, microwave, etc.
• Clean it immediately after use. Otherwise,
food residue can stick to it after drying, making
it difficult to disassemble the parts or clean
them afterward. This may adversely affect
the product's performance. Do not use the
blender as a food container. Empty the jar after
use.
• Use the product for household purposes
only. Using the product incorrectly or for the
wrong purposes, or not complying with the
introductionsabove,mayleadtoseriousinjury,
death, or significant damage to the product.
• Even a minor burn can be very serious for
children. Teach children about how to behave
around hot liquids so they can develop a habit
of being cautious.
• This appliance has a polarized plug (one blade
is wider than the other). To reduce the risk of
electric shock, this plug will fit in a polarized
outlet only one way. If the plug does not fit fully
in the outlet, reverse the plug. If it still does
not fit, contact a qualified electrician. Do not
modify the plug in any way.

How to Assemble and Use the Product
Standby Mode
How to Assemble the Product
1Put the desired ingredients in the jar.
Securely close the jar lid by pushing it on
the jar.
2Insert the inner lid (measuring cup) into
the jar lid, and turn it clockwise to close it.
3Attach the jar to the blender's main
body.
Place the assembled jar onto the main body, plug
the blender's power cord into an outlet, and then
flip the power switch down to the [On] position.
When you operate the product for the first time, the internal coating used on the motor and parts
can emit a burning smell when heated. The smell gradually goes away after a few uses.
Before you use the product for the first time, clean every single part, except for the main body.
Please refer to the Maintenance and Cleaning page when you clean the product.

Before operating the product, make sure that the
main body, jar, lid, and switches are all assembled
correctly and in their correct positions.
When the power indicator above the speed control
dial on the main body lights up, the blender is ready
for use.
If the jar isn't accurately attached to the main body,
then the blender can't function properly and the
power indicator won't light up.

How to Use Different Modes
Manual Mode [Speed Control Dial & Pulse Switch]
Manual Mode 01
[ Min / Max ] Speed Control Dial
Manually turn the speed control dial clockwise until it reaches
the desired speed, and operate the product at the chosen
speed.
Once done, turn the speed control dial back to the [Power
Indicator] position.
※ Separate the jar from the body after the blade stops moving
completely.
Manual Mode 02
[ Pulse ] Switch
While you hold the [Pulse] switch down, the motor runs at the
fastest speed.
It only pulses while you hold the switch down.
Once you flip the switch back up, the pulsing stops and the
blender goes into standby mode.

※Caution
Do not separate the jar until the blade stops moving completely and the speed control dial returns to the
[Power Indicator] position. If the jar is separated from the main body while the speed is being adjusted,
then the power indicator on the main body turns off, and the motor stops running.
Once the jar is reattached to the main body, the power indicator on the main body blinks.
To resume normal operation of the product, turn the speed control dial back to the [Power Indicator]
position. Then, the product will resume its normal operation.

We recommend that you only use the product for one minute or less in manual mode.
Letting it run longer may cause the overload protection device to activate and stop the motor.

How to Use Different Modes
Auto Mode [Smoothie / Ice-Crushing / and Soup]
Step 01 [Power on]
Flip the power switch down
to the [On] position. Then, the
power indicator and the LED
buttons for all three programs
(Smoothie, Ice-Crushing, and
Soup) light up.
Step 02 [Menu Selection]

turn off, and the chosen

Maintenance and Cleaning
Cleaning the lid and inner lid (measuring cup)
Separate the jar lid and inner lid, and then clean them.
Once cleaned, dry them, and then put them back together.
Jar
Gently rinse the inside of the jar with water.
* Make sure that water doesn't enter through the bottom of
the jar, where it touches the main body.
* Do not immerse the jar in water.
It may rust or adversely affect the product's performance.
Fill up the jar with water, just above the blade. Correctly
place the jar onto the main body, put the jar lid on, and then
insert the inner lid (measuring cup).
Flip the [Pulse] switch up, and then let it run for 20 to 30
seconds to clean the jar.
* If there is still food residue left on the blade, clean it off
using a cleaning brush, etc. Never put your hand in the jar.
* The blade can't be separated from the jar. Never attempt to
separate the blade from the jar. Pay attention to safety.
* Do not put any of the parts into a dishwasher.
Main Body
Unplug the power cord to shut off the power.
Wipe the main body with a soaked and well-squeezed cloth
or soft sponge.
* Do not immerse the main body in water.
Make sure that water doesn't enter the main body.
*Before cleaning the product, always turn the power off,
unplug the power cord, and then separate the jar.
