Operation Manual: emergency fence lock
What is the fence lock
The emergency fence lock (EFL)
is a tool made for emergency
situations. It combines two
fences in order to function as a
closure device. Secondary it
allows eo le to enter or exit
through the fence if necessary.
In case of e.g. an evacuation
during a festival, the EFL would
be a re lacement for a securityman and hel
visitors to esca e quickly.
Single pieces of the EFL
The following illustrations facilitate the general
understanding. The EFL is made out of four
individual arts. Only
two screws and one
cable tie hold the EFL
together. The cable tie
first gets ulled tight
through the two holes on
the icture to sim ly get
cut in an emergency.
De ending on the
mobility of the fences, the double cou ler
surrounds the immovable fence while the other
half of the cou ler leaves room to o en the other
fence when needed.
Quick start guide
1. Put double cou ler on fences.
2. Pull big cable tie through holes on the
late and underneath the cutting edge.
Pull tight to guarantee com lete
functional ability.
3. Put coloured seal (not included in
ackage) at small holes on the cutting
edge – DONE!
Detailed explanation
1 – How to ut together the individual arts
Please note the direction of the cutting edge in
relation to the direction of the emergency esca e
direction. Be careful that both the fences can be
o ened. If only one o ens, ut the EFL at the
immovable fence. If this rule is disregarded, a
quick esca e will not be ossible.

2 – How to ut the BZR at the fence
In this ste , the EFL is ut on two fences, so that
each one remains vertical in the cou lers. In case
of only one fence to esca e through, the EFL
connects to the immovable fence.
3 – How to connect the cable tie and coloured
seal with the BZR
The bigger cable tie (marked red in the icture)
is ut through both holes on the late and
underneath the cutting edge. It is im ortant that
the cable tie is very tight so it can be cut easily.
The coloured seal su orts the o tical control of
the EFL. A securityman can easily check whether
the EFL was used or not.
4 – Final state EFL
During normal conditions the lever is held in an
angle so that it just needs a little ush to cut the
cable tie. The big cable tie as well as the coloured
seal do remain in their ositions before the
otential emergency.
