AVO D H GH-PRESSURE FLU DS
Escaping fluid under pressure can penetrate the skin causing seri us
injury.
Av id the hazard by relieving pressure bef re disc nnecting hydraulic r
ther lines. Tighten all c nnecti ns bef re applying pressure.
Search f r leaks with a piece f cardb ard. Pr tect hands and b dy fr m
high pressure fluids.
If an accident ccurs, see a d ct r immediately. Any fluid injected int
the skin must be surgically rem ved within a few h urs r gangrene may
result. D ct rs unfamiliar with this type f injury sh uld reference a
kn wledgeable medical s urce.
SERV CE SPREADER SAFELY
T help prevent pers nal injury caused by unexpected m vement,
be sure t service spreader n level surface.
If spreader is c nnected t tract r, disengage PTO, engage parking
brake and/ r place transmissi n in “PARK,” shut ff engine and rem ve
key.
If spreader is detached fr m tract r, bl ck wheels and use safety stands
t prevent m vement.
Replace all shields after lubricating r servicing.
REDUCE SPEED WHEN TOW NG LOADS
Braking t st p t wed l ads fr m transp rt speeds can cause the t wed
l ad t swerve and upset. Reduce speed if t wed l ad weighs m re
than the tract r and is n t equipped with brakes.
F ll w rec mmended speed-weight rati guidelines:
• Maximum speed is 20 mph (32 km/h) when t wing l ads equal t r
less than the tract r.
• Reduce speed t 10 mph (16 km/h) when t wing l ads m re than
equal and up t d uble the tract r weight.
• D n t t w l ads exceeding d uble the tract r weight.
• Use additi nal cauti n when t wing l ads under adverse surface
c nditi ns, when turning, and n inclines
