BEFORE YOU BEGIN
• The CONTROLLER SYNC BUTTON is located on the very top of the Cadet near
the MICRO CHARGE PORT.
• The CONTROLLER LED INDICATOR is located on the face of the Cadet near
the top.
• The DONGLE LED INDICATOR is located on the front of the DONGLE.
• The DONGLE SYNC BUTTON is located on the front of the DONGLE.
• The MICRO CHARGE PORT is located on the very top of the Cadet.
SYNCING THE CADET
1. Connect the DONGLE to your NES.
2. Press the CONTROLLER SYNC BUTTON once to begin syncing the Cadet.
3. The CONTROLLER LED INDICATOR will quickly ash BLUE, then light up solid
BLUE when the Cadet is fully synced. If the Cadet is not synced, the
CONTROLLER LED INDICATOR will slowly ash BLUE. Pairing will take about
5-10 seconds.
ONCE YOU'VE SYNCED
• Pressing the CONTROLLER SYNC BUTTON will turn OFF the Cadet.
• Holding the CONTROLLER SYNC BUTTON for 2 seconds will turn ON the
Cadet.
• Pressing ANY BUTTON or the D-PAD will WAKE UP the Cadet if it has gone to
sleep.

CHARGING YOUR CADET
1. Connect the provided MICRO CHARGE CABLE to your Cadet. Connect the
other end to a USB power source.
2. A solid RED light on the CONTROLLER LED INDICATOR indicates the Cadet is
charging.
3. The RED light will turn off when the Cadet is fully charged.
Note: You can use the Cadet even while it is charging.
4. A slowly ashing RED light on the CONTROLLER LED INDICATOR means the
Cadet is low on battery.
HELPFUL HINTS
• The Cadet can operate up to about 30 feet from your NES console.
• After 5 minutes of no activity, the Cadet will go to SLEEP.
• If the Cadet is ON and not synced, the CONTROLLER LED INDICATOR will slowly
ash BLUE for 20 seconds, then go to SLEEP.
• When the DONGLE is connected to your NES console, pushing the DONGLE
SYNC BUTTON will cause the DONGLE LED INDICATOR to ash BLUE.
• The Cadet will automatically connect after the initial syncing.
CONNECTING TO A BT DEVICE
(NO DONGLE REQUIRED)
When connecting to a BT-compatible device such as a computer or
smartphone, the controller will show up as “Input device (keyboard, mouse,
etc.)” while pairing. Once paired, the controller will be listed as “Hyperkin Pad.”
Setup and functionality may vary depending on your device.

cause harmful interference to radio or television reception, which can be determined by turning the equipment

- Reorient or relocate the receiving antenna.
- Increase the equipment into an outlet on a circuit different from that to which the receiver is connected.
- Connect the equipment into an outlet on a circuit different from that to which the receiver is connected.
