Before You Begin
Please read this manual before operating cleaner
This will ensure you obtain full benet from your new carpet shampooer. Keep this instruction manual in a
handy place for future reference.
Important
Always switch the cleaner off and remove the plug from the electricity supply before cleaning your
appliance, when not in use, or when attempting any maintenance task. The cleaner must only be
connected to an AC supply at the voltage shown on the rating plate. This cleaner should only be used for
its intended purpose as described in these instructions.
Ensure the power cable is secured into the cable hook.
IMPORTANT! Do not operate the cleaner over the power cable.
Precautionary measures:
1. Do not operate the carpet shampooer too close to heaters, radiators or other hot
surfaces.
2. Before inserting the power plug into the power supply, make sure your hands are dry.
3. When unplugging the power plug from the power supply, do not use the power cable,
gently pull the power plug from the power supply.
BEFORE YOU CLEAN, TEST FIRST
Before cleaning the carpet, test for colour fastness.
Dampen a white cloth with solution. Test a small area of carpet in a closet. Gently rub
the cloth over the carpet. Check each colour for colour bleeding. If the cloth remains
clean, it should be safe to clean the carpet.

1. This appliance is not intended for use by
persons (including children) with reduced
physical, sensory or mental capabilities,
or lack of experience and knowledge,
unless they have been given supervision or
instruction concerning use of the appliance
by a person responsible for their safety.
2. Children should be supervised to ensure that
they do not play with the appliance.
3. Always check the power cord before use.
The power cord and plug should be in a
good condition and must not be damaged
or defective. If the power cord is damaged
it must be replaced by an authorised service
agent or similarly qualied persons.
4. Carpets should be dry vacuumed thoroughly
before washing. Use a vacuum cleaner with a
power brush for best results.
5. If using an extension cord please make sure
that it is of an approved type and that it is
fully extended. Failure to do so could cause
your cleaner to overheat and damage it.
6. Do not run the appliance over the power
cable and power socket on the oor.
7. Do not place cleaner on stairs or furniture,
as it may result in injury or damage. Do not
handle the plug or carpet shampooer with
wet hands.
8. Do not put any objects into the openings or
operate with the openings blocked. Keep
them free of anything that may reduce air
ow.
9. Keep hair, loose clothing, ngers and all
parts of the body away from openings and
moving parts.
10. Do not use this cleaner and accessories
on hard oors. Using this machine on hard
oors may scratch or damage your oor.
11. Do not use the carpet shampooer on any
glowing, burning or smoking particles.
12. Do not use without the solution tank and
dirty water tank in place.
13. Turn off all controls before unplugging.
14. Do not store cleaner with solution in tanks.
15. Do not use to pick up ammable or
combustible liquids such as petrol or use in
areas where they may be present.
16. Only use the cleaning solution provided by
Godfreys.
17. Do not use any high-foaming solutions as
an excessive amount of foam impairs the
functioning of the shampooer. If unsuitable
cleaning solutions are used, this will void
warranty.
18. Do not pull or carry the appliance by the
power cable, use the power cable as a
handle or pull the power cable around
edges or corners.
19. To prevent electrical shock, do not immerse
the appliance, power cord or power plug
into water or any other liquids.
20. Never clean any of the electrical parts,
especially the electrical connections with
water or liquid cleaners.
WARNING! To reduce the risk of re, electric shock or injury when using an electrical appliance,
basic precautions should always be followed, including the following:

21. Never attempt to make any modications to the
shampooer.
22. Indoor use only.
23. Always store the appliance indoors, in a cool, dry
place.
24. Do not use the appliance if it is damaged or
breaks down. Check the electrical components
regularly for defects.
FAULTS!
Consult the trouble shooting guide in this
manual if your carpet shampooer fails to operate
properly.
Do not continue to use this appliance if it
appears to be faulty or the supply cord is
damaged. If a fault can’t be rectied, please
return to the point of purchase.
CAUTION!
The cleaning head contains electrical connection.
The cleaning head is not a serviceable part.
Please return the product to your nearest
Godfreys store if the cleaning head is faulty.
IMPORTANT!
Do not use the carpet shampooer as
a dry vacuum.
CHECK FOR COLOUR FASTNESS!
Before cleaning the carpet, test for colour
fastness. Dampen a white cloth with solution.
Test a small area of carpet in a closet. Gently
rub the cloth over the carpet. Check each colour
for colour bleeding. If the cloth remains clean, it
should be safe to clean the carpet.
NOTE!
Vacuum carpet thoroughly. Use a vacuum cleaner
with a powerbrush for best results.
Remove as much furniture from the room as
possible. If unable to remove the furniture, place
plastic or foil under and around the legs until the
carpet has dried completely.
1. For heavily soiled areas, additional
applications may be necessary.
2. Allow plenty of time for carpet to dry
thoroughly.
3. Wipe cleaning solution from woodwork and
wood to prevent any damage.
4. Try not to walk on carpet until it is
completely dry.
5. After carpet is thoroughly dry, vacuum the
carpet using a vacuum cleaner with
a powerbrush.
6. Before cleaning, determine an exit path,
making sure not to walk over previously
cleaned areas.

Assembly
1. Insert the handle onto the adapter of the unit body.
2. Screw the screws back into the boreholes.
Note: You will need a phillips head screwdriver.
IMPORTANT! The appliance should be disconnected from the power supply before
assembly begins.

3. Insert the clean water tank into the unit body.
First insert the valve into the round depression on the backside
of the appliance and then press the top of the tank against the
centrepiece until it audibly engages.
Lay the dirty water tank in the base of the unit and fold down the
handle of the tank until it audibly engages.
4. Turn the lower hooks of the cable reel downward and wrap the
power cable around both hooks.

Instructions For Use
WARNING! Do not use hot or boiling water to ll the water tank. Only rell the water tank with cold
tap water.
WARNING! Disconnect the power plug from the power supply before lling the water tank. Ensure
that the water tank lid is installed securely into the cleaner before connecting the power plug to the
power supply.
1. Remove the clean water tank from the appliance by pulling up the
unlocking lever.
2. Unscrew the ring cap on the bottom of the tank and remove the valve
together with the water hose.
3. Add clean solution into the tank.
Note: Please read instruction for the dosage of the cleaning solution.
4. Fill the clean water tank up to the MAX lling line with tap water
(max. 38°C).
5. Close the tank using the valve and ring cap. Insert the clean water
tank into the main unit.

Instructions For Use
1. Ensure that the power cord is secured into the Cable Safety
Hook, as shown.
2. Step onto the release pedal to put the shampooer into the
cleaning position.
3. Step onto the on/off switch to turn on the appliance.
4. While depressing the handle spray trigger, push the
shampooer in a forward motion. Release the trigger and pull
the shampooer backwards to collect the dirty water.
5. When the dirty water tank is lled to the max ll line, it must be
emptied. Switch off the appliance by pressing the on/off switch,
lay it on the prepared cloth and bring the handle to the upright
position.
Note: Do not store or transport the appliance when liquid is still in
the tanks.
6. Remove the power plug from the power socket.
IMPORTANT: Never leave the appliance unattended with the power on. Turn off when emptying
and lling tanks. Do not oversaturate the carpet.
Note: Cleaning solution may leak out of the shampooer once it is deactivated. For this reason,
have a cloth laid out that you can place the shampooer on after use.
Using Your Carpet Shampooer

Before You Clean
1. Dilute the cleaning solution as per the manufacture’s recommendation.
2. Take a spot test on a small and marginal area of the carpet for colourfastness.
3. Gently rub the cleaning solution on the surface with a white cloth.
4. Then wait ten minutes and check for colour removal or bleed with a white paper towel.
Carpet Cleaning
Stroke the carpet cleaner forward and backwards in a straight line.
For an efcient clean, only apply water to the carpet (pressing the spray trigger) in the forward direc tion.
This will allow time for the solution water to be agitated into the carpet by the roller brush and vacuumed
up when in the backwards direction.
• Do not oversaturate the carpet with excessive water.
• During use, don’t keep the appliance at a resting position for a long time.
For stains it is recommended to move carefully and slowly over the affected area to ensure good stain
removal.
For heavier stains it may require to be cleaned multiple times.
Moisture Removal
It is recommended to aid drying and for a clean nish to slowly stroke forward and backwards over the
cleaned area with the Spray Trigger off to pick up excess moisture.
Continue to repeat until you can’t see any more water being suctioned up.
Caution: Empty the clean water tank and dirty water tank after use.

1. Pull up the dirty water tank handle and remove the tank from
the base of the appliance.
2. Turn the dirty water tank cap 90° counterclockwise to open it.
Pour out the dirty water and rinse the tank out thoroughly with
warm water (max. 38°C).
3. The exhaust air lter is located at the top of the dirty water
tank. Press the locking mechanism outward toward the lter
and remove the lter mount.
4. Take the lter out of the holder and rinse it off with warm water.
5. Take the protective motor lter out of the main unit and rinse it
off with warm water.
6. Pour the leftover cleaning solution out of the clean water tank
and clean the tank thoroughly with warm water.
7. As required, wipe down the appliance with a moist cloth.
8. Let all parts of the appliance (even the brushes on the bottom
of the shampooer), dry completely before storing it.
Maintenance
WARNING: Always unplug power cord from electrical outlet before performing any
maintenance task on the carpet shampooer.
IMPORTANT: Do not wash lters in the washing machine, hand wash only. Only air dry the
lters and do not in use a hair dryer.
Note: Cleaning solution may leak out of the shampooer once it is deactivated. For this
reason, have a cloth laid out that you can place the shampooer on after use.

1. Undo the below three screws. The roller brush and the belt can be
removed for replacement.
WARNING: Always unplug power cord from electrical outlet before performing any
maintenance task on the carpet shampooer.
Due to the normal wear and tear, the belt may break and the roller brush will stop working.
Please follow the instruction below on how to replace the belt and the roller brush.
CAUTION! Do not remove any other screws, besides the ones specied in the image above.

Please return the product to your nearest Godfreys store if the cleaning head is faulty.

Your i-Vac Pure Fresh Carpet Shampooer, in the case of domestic use,
has a one year warranty against product defects and failures when the
product is used in accordance with the terms and conditions of this
warranty statement.
This warranty is provided by Electrical Home-Aids Pty Limited ABN
62 007 539 577. This warranty commences from the original date
of purchase and is not transferable. You are required to retain your
original proof of purchase for any claims under this warranty. This
warranty is valid only in the country where the cleaner is purchased.
Your i-Vac Pure Fresh Carpet Shampooer must be operated in
accordance with these instructions and used only for domestic
household cleaning to remove dry dirt and dust from household
carpets, ooring and fabrics. Your i-Vac Pure Fresh Carpet Shampooer
is not t to be used as an industrial cleaner, and is not designed for
the collection of vitreous building material including particle board,
construction products and similar products such as wood/ bres,
cement, llers, bre glass etc or excessive or frequent sand. The
infrequent pick-up of these materials may be harmful to your cleaner
and will void this warranty.
Accessories and consumables including dust bags and lters, unless
defective in manufacture, are not subject to this warranty. In order to
prolong the life of accessories and consumables, regular care and
maintenance is recommended.
Refer to the instruction manual for further regarding the use and care
of your i-Vac Pure Fresh Carpet Shampooer, as misuse or failure to
follow the instructions voids this warranty.
In the event of service or advice being needed, or if you would
like to make a claim under this warranty, please immediately stop
using the i-Vac Pure Fresh Carpet Shampooer and contact Electrical

The decision to repair or replace the cleaner is at the discretion of
Electrical Home-Aids Pty. Ltd depending on the circumstances and
requirements of any applicable law. If Electrical Home-Aids Pty. Ltd
decide to repair or replace your i-Vac Pure Fresh Carpet Shampooer, it
will do so at its own cost. Any transportation costs involved in a claim
under this warranty shall be borne by the claimant.
Electrical Home-Aids Pty. Limited is unable to accept responsibility
under this warranty for any repair work not carried out by an
authorised Service Agent, or any defect arising from or in connection
with the use of non-genuine parts. If any part is no longer available
or manufactured, Electrical Home-Aids Pty. Limited will replace it
with a genuine functional replacement part. This warranty does not
apply to the cost of replacing any parts of the i-Vac Pure Fresh Carpet
Shampooer due to normal wear and tear, alterations, improper
installation, physical abuse, misuse or accidental damage.
If proof of purchase cannot be provided at the time of a warranty
claim or service, any work carried out on the i-Vac Pure Fresh Carpet
Shampooer with be at claimant’s cost.
The repair of the i-Vac Pure Fresh Carpet Shampooer under this
warranty does not extend the original period of warranty. If your i-Vac
Pure Fresh Carpet Shampooer is replaced under this warranty, the
replacement will be covered by this warranty for the remainder of the
original warranty period. However, you may still have statutory rights
after this time.
The benets conferred by this warranty are in addition to all other
rights and remedies in respect of the product as outlined under
the Competition and Consumer Act 2010 (Cth) and other State and
Territory laws.
Our goods come with guarantees that cannot be excluded under
the Australian Consumer Law. You are entitled to a replacement or
refund for a major failure and compensation for any other reasonably
foreseeable loss or damage. You are also entitled to have the goods
repaired or replaced if the goods fail to be of acceptable quality and
the failure does not amount to a major failure.
