IAG Battery Tie Down
Part# IAG-ENG-5014BK / BL / RD / SL
Tools Required: 10mm wrench / 10mm Deep Socket (1/4”
drive preferred) / ratchet

6mm Zinc Coated Flange Nuts (x2)
Short J-hook (x1)
Long J-hook (x1)
Thank you for choosing IAG Performance. The battery tie
down is designed to secure a group 35 sized battery in
your engine bay and pay homage to the boxer engine.
Supplied with your tie down are new j-hooks and flange
nuts. Our tie down was tested utilizing several group 35
batteries from different manufactures. Your OEM battery
or OEM replacement battery should closely match the
dimensions listed below:
L=9” / W=6.875” / H=8.75”
Please follow the instructions below for an easy
installation.
Removal:
1. Using your 10mm wrench, disconnect the negative
battery terminal.

2. Using your 10mm socket and ratchet, remove the nuts
holding the existing tie down on top of the battery.

3. Remove the factory tie down and set aside. Take note of
where the bottoms of the j-hooks are secured. Gently
push down on the old j-hooks to dislodge them from the
engine bay. Set them aside with your old hardware.

Install:
4. Place the IAG battery tie down on top of the battery
with the logo facing the direction you prefer.

5. Pull the short j-hook through the bottom of the tie
down (on the back side of the battery) and hook it into the
chassis. Thread a flange nut onto the j-hook until it is hand
tight.

6. Pull the long j-hook through the bottom of the tie down
(on the front side of the battery). Thread a flange nut
down several turns. Now push the j-hook down and secure
the j-hook into the chassis. Hand tighten the nut.

7. Use your ratchet and socket to tighten the flange nuts.

8. Re-install the battery terminal and enjoy your new tie
down.

**Tech Tip**
If you are replacing your battery at the same time, make
sure your bottom tray is set correctly. Make sure the
dimples on the tray are aligned with the corresponding
holes in the chassis.
