1. INTENDED USE
IBIOM's blood drawing chair is intended to support a patient during medical treatment.
2. WARNINGS
Read carefully warnings before using IBIOM's products. Everyone who works with IBIOM's
products must be provided with necessary information and must have read user guide.
WARNING –MAXIMUM CAPACITY
NEVER EXCEED A WEIGHT OF 350 POUNDS OR 159 KG.
IBIOM's treatment chair has been designed to be used with people that weighs 350 pounds
(159 kg) or less.
WARNING –MAXIMUM CAPACITY FOR ARMREST
NEVER EXCEED A LOAD OF 75 POUNDS (34 KG) ON ARMREST.
WARNING - USAGE
NEVER sit on leg section. Tipping may occur.
NEVER sit on backrest. Tipping may occur.
NEVER sit on armrests.
NEVER leave patient unattended.
ATTENTION - ENTRETIEN
Before doing any maintenance on IBIOM's products, refer to this manual.
Always unplug product before performing any maintenance.
To ensure safe and proper functioning of IBIOM's products, be sure to follow suggested
maintenance.

3. LIMITED LIFETIME WARRANTY
IBIOM instruments ltd has a lifetime warranty for all their products against all manufacturing
defects under normal operating conditions. These following components are excluded from this
lifetime warranty : mattresses, retractable rod mechanisms, brake mechanisms, armrest
mechanisms, wheels and all mobile parts. These exclusions are however covered for a period
of 2 years following purchase date.
This warranty doesn’t apply to the products and components that must be replaced after normal
usage or because of negligence, abuse, or breakage during transportation or by misuse of the
user guide instructions and warnings. Also, it doesn’t apply if modifications or repairs have been
done by someone not authorized by IBIOM instruments ltd.
Electrical components are guaranteed against all manufacturing defects under normal
operational conditions for a 3 year period following date of purchase and under the same
conditions as mentioned in the preceding paragraph.
All repairs done on IBIOM products, once the warranty is over will be billed at regular rates.

4. PRODUCT COMPLIANCE
4.1 CSA
All IBIOM's treatment chairs are certified according to CSA standard for electrical medical
device except contrary indication. Sticker is located at the base of the chair.

6.2 Armrest adjustments
6.2.1 Pivoting armrest
Height adjustment
1. Loosen lever A from about 1/8 of a turn. WARNING : DO NOT REMOVE LEVER or
it may be lost.
2. Ajust arm to desired height.
3. Tighten lever A. WARNING : once lever is tightened, height will be locked but arm
will rotate. This function is normal.
4. Repeat steps for arm on other side.

Arm's angle adjustment
1. Loosen lever B about 1/8 of a turn. WARNING : DO NOT REMOVE LEVER or it
may be lost.
2. Place arm to desired position.
3. Tighten lever B.
4. Repeat steps for arm on other side.

6.2.2 Adjustable and removable arms
WARNING!
NEVER EXCEED A LOAD OF 75
POUNDS (34 KG) ON ARMREST.
Use trigger located underneath arm cushion to adjust height.
To remove arm, unlock rotating lever located underneath metal base of arm. Remove
arm.
Trigger located underneath arm cushion.
Lever used to lock/unlock arm.
WARNING : ALWAYS CHECK IF
ARMS ARE SECURELY LOCKED
BEFORE USING CHAIR.

6.3 Emergency position - electrical
To activate emergency position, use corresponding buttons on hand control device. This
function moves simultaneously backrest and leg section.

6.4 Emergency position - mechanical
To activate emergency position, use red lever located at rear of backrest and lower
slowly backrest to Trendelenburg position. This function moves simultaneously backrest
and leg section.

6.5 Central lock and direction
Central lock mechanism can be engaged with pedal located on both sides of treatment
chair. Pedal needs to be triggered by foot to one of the 3 positions :
•Red : all 4 casters are locked;
•Neutral : all casters unlocked and free to roll;
•Green : 1 caster at foot end locks in direction and 3 others remain free.
6.6 Rechargeable battery
•Battery is delivered fully charged.
•After every day of use, make sure to recharge battery for 8 hours. Plug power
outlet to the wall to recharge.
•If battery is not used every day, recharge as needed.
•It is possible to use battery while it is plugged to wall outlet without any risk of
damage.

emergecy lever.

7.1 Cleaning instructions
Recommended cleaning products :
-disinfectant containing sodium hypochlorite (bleaching product) diluted in a 1:10
ratio;
-disinfectant containing hydrogen peroxide diluted in a maximum concentration of
0.5%.
Any damage caused to mattresses or other parts du to use of different products or
similar products at different concentration will not be covered by warranty.

8. MAINTENANCE
We recommend carrying out certain simple tasks in order to prevent long term problems
and injuries. Not doing proper maintenance may cause injuries or death. IBIOM will not
be responsible if maintenance is not done or done improperly. Before carrying
maintenance tasks, refer to warnings at the beginning of this manual.

All moving parts must be inspected to
detect any breakage or wear for instance,
particular attention must be drawn to
cracks, missing parts, missing bolts and
any sign of damage that may result in
malfunction.

mechanism

Verify good functioning of central brake.
Ensure all wheels lock and unlock well.

Electrical
components
inspection
Electrical components must be inspected
at the attachment points, cables and wires
to detect any sign of damage that could
affect product's performance.

Visual inspection to detect any wear or
tear.

Operation test
•Completely raise and lower chair to
detect possible breaks (unusual
noise, loose parts...).
•Tilt backrest completely to detect
possible damage.
•Completely lower and raise leg
section to detect possible damage.
•Operate all moving parts (footrest,
armrest, emergency position, central
brake, shelf) in order to detect
possible damage.

To maintain your warranty, maintenance must be performed and if repairs are needed, it
must be done by an authorized IBIOM representative. IBIOM won't be responsible for
any incident if maintenance has not been made as it is recommended in this user guide.

9. TROUBLESHOOTING

Hand control device
does not work and
"beep" when pressing a
button.
Cable may be
unplugged.
Control box can be in
alarm mode.
Check if all cables are
well connected in control
box.
Check if power cord is
plugged to the wall
outlet.
Hold down 2 buttons on
second row (height
adjustment) at the same
time for a few seconds.
It will do a long "beep".
Keep holding until
"beep" stops. Try hand
control again. If problem
remains, contact us for
further instructions.
Hand control device
does not work and
does not "beep" when
pressing a button.
Hand control device,
control box or cable
could be damaged.
On control box, check if
green light is on when
power cord is plugged.
Check if power cord is
plugged to the wall outlet
and not damaged.
Check if hand control
device is plugged into
control box.
Check if all cables are
well connected in control
box.
Try another hand
control device from
another TRIAD chair. If
problem remains,
control box needs to be
replaced. If problem is
solved, hand control
must be replaced. See
spare parts list and
contact us.
Central lock pedal does
not move.
