Step 1 - installation Battery
Slide the button to the right and hold.
Step 2
Slide the battery out.

Step 3 - disassembly Upper Case
Remove the 7 mm Philip screws.
Remove the 10 mm Philip screws.
Remove the 14 mm Philip screw.
Step 4
Open the flap on the left hand side.

Step 5
Insert the iPod opening tools between the right and left
sides of the latch to pry open and release the clips.
Step 6
Open the flap on the right side.

Step 7
Use the iPod opening tools to pry open the latch and
release the clips.
Step 8
Lift the keyboard slowly.
The keyboard is attached to the computer
via a cable which can be damaged if not
careful.

Step 9
Use your fingers or a spudger to detach the connector.
Step 10
Remove the keyboard cover.

Step 11 - Speakers
Slowly lift the speaker with your fingers.
The speaker's wires are attached to a
connector which can come off easily.
Step 12
Use your fingers to unplug the wires from the connector.
