thanks for choosing an ICY BOX®product.
With this robust ICY BOX®KVM switch you can easily connect two independent PCs to one monitor
and one set of keyboard and mouse. This saves space, nerves and time.
In addition, you can use two more USB 2.0 Type-A ports to connect additional USB devices such as
external storage devices or other useful peripherals to both computers.
Switching between the two PCs is very easy with the hotkey function on the keyboard or by dou-
ble-clicking with the mouse.
This KVM switch is suitable for two independent computers with HDMI®video outputs and available
USB Type-A and audio ports.

1. Switch off all connected devices.
2. Connect your computers to the KVM switch using the USB + audio cables.
3. Connect the HDMI®cables to both computers.
4. Connect the monitor to the KVM switch with another HDMI®cable (not included).
ATTENTION! The HDMI®cable and monitor must support Premium High-Speed HDMI®to be
able to reach the highest possible resolution of up to 4096x2160@60 Hz.
5. Plug your mouse and keyboard into the corresponding USB mouse and keyboard port on the
front panel.
6. Plug in your speaker or microphone if needed.
7. Switch on the KVM switch and then boot all devices.
8. If desired, plug in the additional remote control switch and place it on your desk in the
preferred position.
Usage
Switching
To switch between the two computers, use the white square button (1.) on the front panel.
Hint: In addition, you can use further options to switch the computers:
1. Via double-click on the scroll wheel of your mouse
2. Via hot-key function on your keyboard
3. Via remote push button
1. Switch via mouse:
Double-click the scroll wheel of your mouse to switch from PC 1 to PC 2.
2. Switch via keyboard:
The default hot-key is the right “Ctrl” key on your keyboard. If there is any
conflict with another hot-key, the KVM hot-key can be changed to “Scroll Lock”
or “Num Lock” or the left “Ctrl” key.

General hint: Each key combination starts with a double-click of the according hot-key
(right/left Ctrl, Scroll lock, Num lock). For a successful action, the keys of the key combinations
must be pressed one after the other. A simultaneous pressing of the (right and left Ctrl) keys is
not possible!

Push the remote button to switch from PC 1 to PC 2.
ATTENTION! The mouse and keyboard hot-key function can be turned ON and OFF according to
your requirements.
To turn OFF the mouse hot-key function, press the following keys:
Hint: Please use the right “Ctrl” key on the keyboard!
After a “beep” sounds the mouse hot-key function is turned off.
To turn OFF the keyboard hot-key function, press the following keys:

After a “beep” sounds the keyboard hot-key function is turned off.
Important: To turn ON the mouse/keyboard hot-key function, press the hot-key button (2.) on the
front side of the KVM switch. The hot-key LED (3.) lights up green again.

ATTENTION: After one of these changes, all hot-key functions must be executed with the correspon-
ding hot-key you have selected (Ctrl, Scroll Lock, Num Lock).

Audio settings
The KVM switch has one 3.5 mm audio IN and one OUT jack for speaker and microphone. Connect
audio devices according to your needs.
HDMI®audio output is possible through the KVM switch as usual after selecting the output device
accordingly.
Please set up your display settings according to your operating system and requirements.
For detailed information, see the corresponding operating manual and description of your
operating system.

Mit diesem robusten ICY BOX®KVM Switch können Sie ganz einfach zwei unabhängige PCs an einem
Monitor und einem Set aus Tastatur und Maus anschließen. Das spart Platz, Nerven und Zeit.
Zusätzlich können Sie zwei weitere USB 2.0 Type-A Ports nutzen, um zusätzliche USB Geräte wie ex-

1. Schalten Sie alle Geräte aus.
2. Schließen Sie Ihre Computer mit den USB + Audiokabeln an den KVM Switch an.
3. Schließen Sie die HDMI®Kabel an beide Computer an.
4. Schließen Sie den Monitor mit einem weiteren HDMI®Kabel (nicht im Lieferumfang enthalten)
an den KVM Switch an.
ACHTUNG! Das HDMI®Kabel und der Monitor müssen Premium High-Speed HDMI®unter-
stützen, um die höchstmögliche Auflösung von bis zu 4096x2160@60 Hz erreichen zu können.
5. Schließen Sie Ihre Maus und Tastatur an den entsprechenden USB Maus- und Tastaturanschluss
an der Vorderseite an.
6. Schließen Sie bei Bedarf Ihren Lautsprecher oder Ihr Mikrofon an.
7. Schalten Sie den KVM Switch ein und starten Sie dann alle Geräte.
8. Stecken Sie bei Bedarf den zusätzlichen Fernbedienungsschalter ein und legen Sie ihn auf
Ihren Schreibtisch in die gewünschte Position.
Verwendung
Umschalten
Um zwischen den beiden Computern umzuschalten, verwenden Sie die weiße quadratische Taste (1.)
auf der Vorderseite.
Hinweis: Zusätzlich können Sie weitere Möglichkeiten zum Umschalten zwischen beiden Computern
nutzen:
1. Über einen Doppelklick auf das Scrollrad Ihrer Maus
2. Über Hotkey-Funktion auf Ihrer Tastatur
3. Über den Fernbedienungsschalter

1. Umschalten per Maus:
Mit einem Doppelklick auf das Scrollrad Ihrer Maus schalten Sie von PC 1 auf PC 2 um.
2. Umschalten per Tastatur:
Die Standard Hotkey Taste ist die rechte „Strg“ Taste auf Ihrer Tastatur. Wenn es
einen Konflikt mit einem anderen Hotkey gibt, kann der KVM Hotkey auf „Rol-
len“ oder „Num“ oder die linke „Strg“ Taste geändert werden.
Allgemeiner Hinweis: Jede Tastenkombination beginnt mit einem Doppelklick der jeweiligen
Hotkey Taste (rechte/linke Strg, Rollen, Num). Für eine erfolgreiche Aktion müssen die Tasten
der Tastenkombinationen nacheinander gedrückt werden. Ein gleichzeitiges Drücken der
(rechten und linken Strg) Tasten ist nicht möglich!
Schalten Sie über folgende Tastenkombination um.
Umschalten auf PC 1:

Drücken Sie den Fernbedienungsschalter, um von PC 1 auf PC 2 umzuschalten.

ACHTUNG! Die Maus- und Tastatur-Hotkey Funktion kann ganz nach Ihren Wünschen ein- und
ausgeschaltet werden.
Zum Ausschalten der Maus Hotkey Funktion, drücken Sie folgende Tastenkombination:
Hinweis: Bitte nutzen Sie die rechte “Strg” Taste auf Ihrer Tastatur!
Nach dem “Piep” Ton ist die Maus Hotkey Funktion ausgeschaltet.
Zum Ausschalten der Tastatur Hotkey Funktion, drücken Sie folgende Tastenkombination:
Hinweis: Bitte nutzen Sie die rechte “Strg” Taste auf Ihrer Tastatur!
Nach dem “Piep” Ton ist die Tastatur Hotkey Funktion ausgeschaltet.
Wichtig: Um die Maus- und Tastatur-Hotkey Funktion wieder einzuschalten, drücken Sie die Hotkey
Taste auf der Vorderseite des KVM Switches. Die Hotkey LED (3.) leuchtet nun wieder grün.
