Installing Your 150 Series™V.I.P. Pet Door
Step #1-Mounting Pet Door to Sliding Door Frame
IMPORTANT: BEFORE YOU START YOUR INSTALLATION—
You must remove the existing Lock Catch plate from your sliding door frame
as it will interfere with your new pet door. (see Picture #1)
NOTE: Your new pet door comes with two (top and bottom)
Mounting Hangers attached. Please leave these Hangers in place.
(see Pictures #2 and #3)
Poly Bag #1 contains two additional “Hangers”
and four 1/4” Mounting Screws.
Place one of the “Hangers” on bottom rail as
shown in Picture #4 and attach through PVC
and frame using two of the screws.
Carefully remove "H" Top Section from top
of door. (see Picture #5) Place your pet door
in position as shown. (see Picture #6).
Make sure that the bottom Hanger on door is
interlocked with Hanger on frame. (Picture #7)
With pet door in place, mark a pencil line to
correspond with top of door on edge of
frame. (see Picture #8)
Remove pet door panel then measure down
5-1/4” and make a new pencil line, then
transfer the line which is 5-1/4” down to the
inside of frame. (see Picture #9) This new line
indicates the bottom edge of the “Top”
Hanger. Place top Hanger in frame and line
up bottom edge with pencil line.
Using screws provided in Poly Bag #1, attach the hanger to the
frame, keeping the hanger centered on frame (see Picture #10).
Place two Track Fillers underneath door (see Picture #11). Re-hang the
V.I.P. Pet Door. Fit should be snug to keep pet door from moving in track.
