“Electronic”E-Cat Door™
INSTALLATION INSTRUCTIONS
TOOLS REQUIRED FOR INSTALLATION
• Hammer and Awl (or Nail) • Drill and 3/8” Drill Bit
• Sabre Saw • Phillips Screwdriver • Wear Safety Goggles
1. DETERMINE TEMPLATE PLACEMENT - The die-cut template is located in the
center of pet door. Remove beauty ring from outer frame; lift out template. Center
template (width) in middle of door; tape in place. Position the top of the template
approximately 2” taller than your pet’s shoulder.
Important: Under no circumstances should the bottom edge of the template
cutout be less than 4” from the bottom edge of the wood door.
2. OUTLINE PET DOOR
OPENING - With template taped
in place, use a pencil to draw
around the inside edge of the
template onto door. Use a nail or
awl to mark outer screw holes.
3. DRILLING HOLES - Next: Drill
the four (4) 3/8” diameter outer
screw holes.
4. CUTTING THE OPENING - Mark
and drill four (4) 3/8” diameter
inside corner saw-out starter holes.
Begin with one of the inside 3/8”
corner holes. Using a sabre saw,
cut along inside edge pencil line.
5. ASSEMBLY AND ADJUSTMENTS
(SEE DIAGRAM) - Insert outer
frame (A) into opening from exterior side (frame must be flush with door surface).
Place inner beauty ring (B) into opening from inside door and hold in place. Install
screws (C) and tighten until snug. Do not over-tighten.
6. ADJUSTABLE FLAP OPERATION - Using the red dial (D) located on door’s lower
side, adjust to match desired operation as indicated by embossed symbols on door.

“Electronic” Pet Door Training-
In case your animal has never used a pet door before you may need to use a gentle
approach to training him to become comfortable with the idea. Especially in the case
of a mechanically activated pet door, an adjustment period will be necessary for the
first 4-5 days.
Try using the door for a couple of days, setting the
dial in the “FREE” position allowing the pet to freely
come and go.
After a few days, set the dial to its “ACTIVE” setting.
By now your animal will come and go comfortably
through his new private entrance!
How to Connect and/or Replace the Battery-
Remove screw on battery panel
(Fig.1). Remove panel (Fig.2).
Insert 9v battery (supplied) into
plug (Fig.3 & 4). Insert battery into
compartment (make sure battery
wire is pushed into wire slot) (Fig.5).
Replace panel and reattach screw
(Fig.6).Your pet door is now ready
for operation. We recommend you
replace the battery every 6 months.
E-Sensor™ Collar and Pendant-
The E-Sensor™ Pendant allows only the pet(s)
wearing it to activate the pet door.
For best results, be sure to keep pendant clean.
