Beforethe WineCoolerisused, it must be properlypositioned and installed as
described inthismanual,soread the manualcarefully.Toreducethe riskoffire,
electricalshock orinjurywhen using the WineCooler, followbasicprecautions,
including thefollowing:
•Plug intoagrounded 3-prong outlet,do notremovegrounding prong, do not usean adapter, and
do not usean extension cord.
•It isrecommended thataseparatecircuit, servingonlyyourWine Coolerbe provided.Use
receptaclesthatcannot be turned off byaswitchorpull chain.
•Neverclean WineCoolerpartswithflammablefluids. Thesefumescan createafirehazardor
explosion. And do notstoreorusegasoline orotherflammablevaporsand liquidsinthe vicinityof
thisoranyotherappliance.The fumescan createafirehazardorexplosion.
•Beforeproceeding withcleaning and maintenanceoperations,makesurethe powerline ofthe
unitisdisconnected.
•Do not connect ordisconnect the electricplugwhen yourhandsarewet.
•Unplug the Wine Coolerordisconnect powerbeforecleaning orservicing.Failuretodo socan
result inelectrical shock ordeath.
•Do not attempttorepairorreplaceanypartof yourWineCoolerunless itisspecifically
recommended inthismanual. Allotherservicing shouldbe referred toaqualified technician.
FOLLOWWARNINGCALL OUTSBELOWONLYWHENAPPLICABLETOYOUR MODEL
•Usetwoormorepeopletomoveand installWine Cooler. Failuretodo socan resultinback or
otherinjury.
•Toensureproperventilation foryourWine Cooler,the front ofthe unitmust be completely
unobstructed. Chooseawell-ventilated area withtemperaturesabove60°F(16°C)and below
90°F (32°C).Thisunitmust be installed inan area protected fromthe elements, suchaswind,
rain, watersprayordrips.
•The Wine Coolershouldnot be located next toovens, grillsorothersourcesofhigh heat.
•The Wine Coolermust be installed withallelectrical, waterand drainconnectionsinaccordance
withstateand localcodes. Astandardelectrical supply(120 VAConly,60 Hz),properly
grounded inaccordancewiththe NationalElectricalCode and local codesand ordinancesis
required.
•Do not kinkorpinchthe powersupplycordofWine Cooler.
•The fuse(orcircuit breaker)sizeshouldbe 15 amperes.
•It isimportantforthe Wine Coolertobe leveled inordertowork properly. You mayneed tomake
severaladjustmentstolevelit.
•Allinstallation must be inaccordancewithlocalplumbing code requirements.
•Makecertainthatthe pipesarenot pinched orkinked ordamaged during installation.
•Check forleaksafterconnection.
•Neverallowchildren tooperate,playwithorcrawlinsidethe Wine Cooler.
•Although theunithasbeen tested at the factory,due tolong-termtransitand storage, the first
batchofcubesmust be discarded.
•Do not usesolvent-based cleaning agentsorabrasiveson the interior.Thesecleanersmay
damage ordiscolorthe interior.
•Do not usethisapparatusforotherthan itsintended purpose.

ØBefore Using YourWineCooler
•Removethe exteriorand interiorpacking.
•Check tobe sureyou haveall ofthe following parts:

•Clean the interiorsurfacewithlukewarm waterusing asoft cloth.
ØInstallationofYourWineCooler
•This Wine Coolerisdesigned tobe free standing installation only,and shouldnot be recessed or
built-in(Fullyrecessed).
•PlaceyourWine Cooleron asurfacethatisstrong enough tosupport itwhen itisfullyloaded.
•Allow5inchesof spacebetween the back and sidesofthe Wine Cooler, whichallowsthe proper
aircirculation tocool the heatsink.
•Locatethe Wine Coolerawayfromdirect sunlightand sourcesofheat(stove,heater,radiator,
etc.).Direct sunlightmayaffectthe acryliccoatingand heat sourcesmayincreaseelectrical
consumption.Extremecoldambienttemperaturesmayalsocausethe unit not toperformproperly.
•ThisWine Coolerusescompressorrefrigeration technologyand isnot designed forstorage inhot
areaslikegarages, warehousesoroutdoorssinceit isdesigned tooperateat amaximumof 30
degreesbelowthe ambienttemperature.
•Avoidlocating the unit inmoist areas.
•Plug theWine Coolerintoan exclusive,properlyinstalled-grounded wall outlet.Do notunderany
circumstancescut orremovethe third(ground)prong fromthe powercord. Anyquestions
concerning powerand/orgrounding shouldbe directed towardacertified electrician oran
authorized servicecenter.
•Afterplugging the Wine Coolerintoawall outlet, allowthe unittocooldownfor2-3hoursbefore
placing anyitemsinthe compartment.

ØElectrical Connection
Thisapplianceshouldbe properlygrounded foryoursafety.The powercordof thisapplianceis
equipped withathree-prong plug whichmateswithstandardthree prong wall outletstominimizethe
possibilityof electrical shock.
Do not underanycircumstancescut orremovethe thirdground prong fromthepowercordsupplied.
Forpersonalsafety,thisappliancemust be properlygrounded.
Thisappliancerequiresastandard120 Volt AC/ 60Hzelectricalground outlet withthree-prong. Have
the wall outletand circuit checkedbyaqualifiedelectrician tomakesurethe outletisproperly
grounded.When astandard2-prong wall outletisencountered, itisyourresponsibilityand obligation
tohaveit replaced withaproperlygrounded 3-prong walloutlet.
The cordshouldbe secured behind the applianceand notleft exposed ordangling toprevent
accidental injury.
The applianceshouldalwaysbe plugged intoitsownindividualelectricaloutletwhichhasavoltage
rating thatmatchesthe rating labelon the appliance.Thisprovidesthe best performanceand also
prevent overloadinghousewiring circuitsthatcouldcauseafirehazardfromoverheated.Never
unplug the appliancebypulling the powercord. Alwaysgripthe plug firmlyand pullstraight out from
the receptacle. Repairorreplaceimmediatelyallpowercordsthat havebecomefrayed orotherwise
damaged. Do notuseacordthatshowscracksorabrasion damage along itslengthorat eitherend.
Whenmoving the appliance,be carefulnottodamage the powercord.
ØExtension Cord
Becauseofpotentialsafetyhazardsundercertainconditions, itisstronglyrecommended that you do
not usean extension cordwiththisappliance.However,ifyou must usean extension corditis
absolutelynecessary that it be aUL/CUL-Listed, 3-wiregrounding type applianceextension cord
having agrounding type plug and outlet and thatthe electricalrating ofthe cordbe 120 voltsand at
least 10 amperes.

Improperuseof the grounded plug canresultinthe riskofelectricalshock.Ifthe powercordis
damaged, haveitreplacedbyan authorized servicecenter.

OPERATING YOUR WINECOOLER
ØSetting theTemperature Control
•Tocontrolthe internal temperature,adjustthe controldial
according tothe ambienttemperatureorpurposeofuse.
•The first timeyou turnthe unit on,set the temperaturecontrol
to “5”(coldest setting).
•The temperaturerange tocontrolis4 ~10 , and the relative
setting positionisfrom “5”to “0”. After24 to48 hours, adjust
the temperaturecontrol tothe setting thatbest suitesyour
needs. The setting of “3”shouldbe correctforhomeoroffice
WineCooleruse.
NOTE:
§Ifthe unitisunplugged, haslost power, orturned off; you must wait3to5minutesbefore
restarting the unit. If you attempttorestart beforethistimedelay,the Wine Coolerwillnotstart.
ØStorageCapacity
NOTE: You can place19 standardbottlesinthisWine Cooler.
Manybottlesmaydifferinsizeand dimensions. Assuchthe actualnumberof bottlesyou maybe able
tostoremayvary.Bottlecapacitiesareapproximatemaximumswhen storing traditionalBordeaux
750mlbottlesand include bulkstorage.

CAREAND MAINTENANCE
ØDefrosting YourWineCooler
Defrostthe Wine Coolerwhen the frost accumulated onthe evaporatorisabout 5mm (1/5inch)thick.
Set the thermostat dial to “0”position.Defrosting usuallytakesafewhours. Afterdefrosting,return
the thermostat dial tothe desired position. Todefrost quicklyremoveWinesfromthe WineCooler
and leavethe dooropen.Neveruseaknifeorothermetalinstrumenttoscrape ice/frostfromthe
evaporator.
ØCleaning YourWineCooler
•Turnthe temperaturecontrol to"0", unplug the WineCooler, and removethe Wineand shelves.
•Washthe inside surfaceswithawarmwaterand bakingsoda solution.The solution shouldbe
about 2tablespoonsofbaking soda toaquart of water.
•Washthe shelveswithamilddetergentsolution.
•The outside ofthe Wine Coolershouldbe cleaned withmilddetergent and warmwater.
•Wringexcess waterout ofthe sponge orclothbeforecleaning the area of the controls, orany
electricalparts.
•Washthe outside cabinetwithwarm waterand mildliquiddetergent.Rinsewell and wipe dry with
aclean softcloth.
ØReversing theDoorSwingofYourWineCooler
Thisappliancehasthe capabilityofthe dooropening fromeitherthe left orright side.The unitis
delivered toyou withthe dooropening fromthe left side. Shouldyou desiretoreversethe opening
direction, pleasefollowthe instruction asbelow.
1.Removethe upper hinge cover (1) first.
2.Remove the three screws (2) that hold the upper hinge (3) (right side) to the frame. Take away the
upper hinge (3).
3.Lift the door and place it on apadded surface to
prevent scratching it.
4.Remove the three screws (6) that hold the lower
hinge (4) and removehinge (4).
5.Removethe plug (5) and moveto the right side.
6.Install the lower hinge onto the left side of the
lower frame with three screws (6).
7.Set the door to its place making sure the door
seat at the lower hinge (4).
8.While holding the door in the closed position
secure the upper hinge (3) in the top frame of left
side with three screws (2). Please remember that
do not tighten the screws until the top of the door
is leveled with the counter top.
9.Install the cover (1) on the upper hinge.
ØVacation Time
•Shortvacations: Leavethe Wine Cooleroperating during vacationsofless than three weeks.
•Longvacations: Ifthe appliancewillnotbe used forseveralmonths,removeallitemsand
unplug the powercord.Clean and dry the interiorthoroughly.Topreventodorand moldgrowth,
leavethe dooropen slightly:blocking it open if necessary.
ØMovingYourWineCooler
•Removeallbottles.
•Securelytape downall looseitems(shelves)inside yourappliance.
•Tape the doorshut.
•Protect outside ofappliancewithablanket, orsimilaritem.
ØEnergySavingTips
•The WineCoolershouldbe located inthe coolestareaofthe room,awayfromheatproducing
appliances, and out of the directsunlight.
•Overloading the Wine Coolerforcesthe compressortorun longer.

call.Trythe suggestionsbelowtosee ifyou can solvethe problembeforecalling the service.

The circuit breakertripped orablownfuse.
Turnson and off frequently. The roomtemperatureishotterthan normal.
The doorisopened too often.
The doorisnotclosed completely.

The Wine Coolerdoesnot havethe correct
clearances.
Vibrations. Check toassurethat the Wine Coolerislevel.
The Wine Coolerseemstomaketoo muchnoise.
The rattling noisemaycomefromthe flowof the
refrigerant, whichisnormal.
Aseachcycleends, you mayheargurgling
soundscaused bythe flowofrefrigerant inyour
WineCooler.
Contraction and expansion of the inside walls
maycausepopping and crackling noises.
The Wine Coolerisnotlevel.
The doorwillnotcloseproperly. The Wine Coolerisnotlevel.
The doorwasreversed and not properlyinstalled.
The gasket isdirty.
