7. Securethecabinettothewall

6.Installthecornercabinet
Liftthe corner cabinet backinto place
andadjustthe legssothat itstands
level.
5.Drill,anchorand screw
Usingthe appropriate drillbitandtype
of screw for your wallmaterial,drill
holes at thespots you’vemarked. If
there’s no stud,insert a heavy-duty
anchor then the screw andtighten
halfway
.
12.Tightenallthescrews
Whenallbase cabinetshave been
mountedand aligned, tightenallscrews
into the wall.N
ow the highcabinet is
inplace,make the finaladjustmentsto
the wallcabinetsandtighten allthe
screws.
11.Installthehighcabinet
The highcabinetshouldbe installed
thesame wayyou installed the base
cabinets.If you´re usingacover panel
onone side,mountthis before install-
ingthe cabinet usingthe enclosed
instructions
10.Fasten cabinetstogether
Place the connection screws enclosed
withthe cabinet frames into the holes
and tighten.Continue in this fashion
withthe remainingbasecabinets

18.Thefinishingtouch
Dab your finger into a3-in-1 oiltopre-
ventthe caulkfrom sticking,then run
your fingeralongthe caulk,forcingit
into the crevice.R
emove the tape for an
airtightsealandastraightedge.
17.Preparetheareatobe caulked
To produce anairtightsealbetween the
wallandthe cabinet,you’ll need to
caulkaroundthefiller pieces.C
hoose a
wellmade latex brand(itdoesn’t need
to be waterproof.)Tape alongside the
area to be caulked.Applya bead of
caulkinto the crevice.
15.Installfillerpieces
Putthe filler piece inplace withthe cut
edgeagainst the wall.Attachbydrilling
a screw throughthe predrilled holes
from the inside of the cabinet.Install
other filler pieces inthe same way

filler pieces,go to picture 17.

installed.Openthecompassa coupleof
inchesandplacethepointagainstthe

plateandcheckthatitfits,thentrace

16.Ifthewall isuneven
Ifthewallisnotlevelandflat,thefiller
mustbecuttoconformtothewall’s
shape.T
odothis,you’llneedtomakea
templatefortracingthewall’s shape
ontothefiller.Apieceofthinplywood or
heavycardboardmakesasuitabletem-

Next, it’s time for the base and high
cabinets. Before you begin, note all plumb-
ing,pow
er sources and other utilities.
Measure these locations carefully,and,
using a hole saw
, cut the appropriate
openings before each cabinet is installed.
In the following steps, you’ll install
the legs at the front of the cabinets, and
secure a cabinet support board to the wall.
This is a length of particleboard packed
together with the toe-kick panels. If you
prefer, you can use legs on the back of the
cabinets in lieu of the support board.
4.Startwiththecornercabinet
Attachlegs to the frontedges of the
cabinets according topackage instruc-
tions.Ifyou are not usingthe support
board,at
tach backlegsas well.
Always use abackleg at the endof the
run,as this makes attachingthe side
toe-kickeasier.
14.Cutfillerpieces
Withahandsaw:d
rawa line connecting
the top and bottom marks on the front
side of the filler,andcutitwiththeface
sideup. Jigsaw:mark bothsides of the
filler.Putmaskingtapeover the line on
the frontside to preventchipping.Cut
itfrom the backside.
