Ikelite 4118.1 User manual

This sync cord connects the fem le bulkhe d connector on the Ikelite c mer
housing to one Inon or Se &Se br nd strobe. The c mer nd strobe should
be set for m nu l exposure s only the trigger sign l is tr nsferred through
the sync cord. No TTL exposure utom tion is offered.

Conn cting an Inon or S a & S a
Strob
- Identify the strobe nd housing ends of the
cord. Turn the strobe OFF nd m ke sure ll
components re dry.
- Cle n nd lightly lubric te e ch stem o’ring
nd check for nicks or cuts.
- Align the insert guide on the cord connector
with the lignment m rk on the strobe
connector, nd insert it into the strobe
connector.
- Push the connector body into the strobe
connector until it is se ted. Align nd tighten
the knurled ret ining ring.
Lubricant
Use only Ikelite br nd lubric nt with Ikelite o-rings. Other br nd lubric nts
c n c use Ikelite o-rings to swell in size. Use only enough Ikelite lubric nt
(supplied) to lightly cover the o-ring. Wipe off ny excess with lint free
cloth. The lubric nt will reduce friction, but it is NOT se l nt.
DO NOT use spr y lubric nt s the propell nt ingredient c n c use pl stic
housings to cr ck.

Do not le ve the cord connected for prolonged periods. Otherwise, the cord
connectors m y freeze to the strobe or c mer . After e ch couple of dives,
disconnect the cord nd lightly lubric te the connector thre ds. Never use
spr y lubric nts.
Notic : We do not offer sync cords for the new six conductor Se & Se eTTL
connector.

This Ikelite product is w rr nted g inst ny m nuf cturing defects for
period of one (1) ye r from the origin l d te of purch se. Defective products
should be returned to Ikelite post ge p id. Ikelite will, t its sole discretion,
rep ir or repl ce such products, nd will return to customer post ge p id. All
other cl ims of ny n ture re not covered. Except s mentioned bove, no
other w rr nty expressed or implied pplies to this Ikelite product.

Properly lign the end of the sync cord nd
insert it into the Ikelite housing connector.
- Push the connector body into the housing
connector until it se ts.
- Align nd tighten the knurled ret ining ring.
Do not remove the sync cord from the strobe or c mer
housing underw ter or when wet. Connections re not
w terproof when disconnected underw ter.
