IV. PRINCIPLE OF THE UV-C DISINFECTION WITH INDIRECT RADIATION
AIR STRIKE 2020 is an air disinfection device. The germicidal UV-C lamps integrated in it emit a light
with wavelength of 254 nanometers (nm) and effectively destroy microorganisms, including viruses,
bacteria and spores that are carried in the air.
Due to the four fans, the air is forced into the disinfection chamber. The two light sources of UV-C
light are installed in it, which perform the disinfection. The camera has built-in protection. Two
metal shields prevent UV-C radiation outside the device.
The model AIR STRIKE 2020 UV-C is equipped with PHILIPS TUV 2x36W T8 UV-C 254nm OZONE FREE.
It is intended for use in hospital rooms, surgery rooms, clinics, laboratories, pharmaceutical and food

turning them clockwise and removing them
from the sockets. Place them in a place
where there is no danger risk for break of the
light sources.

11
STEP 6
Lift the base with the sockets and the
driver for the UV-C light sources and
remove it from the base for mounting
the device. Do not disconnect it
completely so as not to break the

VII. INSTRUCTIONS FOR SAFETY AND MAINTENANCE
The light sources of PHILIPS UV-C T8 36W, with which
AIR STRIKE 2020 is equipped, according to the
manufacturer, have an average effective life of 6300
hours. The lamps can last longer than their estimated
effective service life of up to 9,000 hours, but
reducing ultraviolet radiation will make their use
ineffective for disinfection. For maximum efficiency,
the lamps must be replaced every 6300 hours of
operation.
The appliance should not work more than 17 hours a
day per one year.
Contact the supplier:
If it is necessary to open the protective cover of the
device, while it is in the operating mode, you may
be exposed to UV-C radiation, ALWAYS use
appropriate personal protective equipment, namely
UV protective shield for the face, gloves and if
possible a protective suit. If you do not have a
protective suit, make sure you do not have areas of
exposed skin.
Always unplug the power supply before performing
any activities related to moving the device, cleaning
or replacing consumables.
A regular cleaning cycle of the disinfection device
must be established and carefully maintained. The
frequency of cleaning will vary depending on the
conditions of use. It is recommended to clean the
appliance at least once every three months.
Cleaning should be done with a cotton cloth and
alcohol.

15
ATTENTION!
UV-C light sources contain a small amount of
mercury - avoid breakage! If you break a lamp,
ventilate the room where the breakage
occurred.
If a UV-C light source breaks, take the
usual precautions to collect broken glass, but
MANDATORY with gloves, mask and glasses.
Clean with a mercury vacuum cleaner or other
suitable means that avoid the formation of dust and
mercury vapors, such as a towel or syringe, which
are also discarded after use, as well as personal
protective equipment. NEVER use an ordinary
vacuum cleaner.
Place the collected waste in a closed container.
NEVER dispose of with household
waste or sewage. This is hazardous waste and
contact the local branch of the Ministry of
Environment and Water for proper disposal.
If the remote control does not turn on the device,
replace the battery first! If, after replacement, the
remote control does not work again, contact the
supplier.
