RULES
Read the instruction manual and the warranty limitations

The machine must be connected to a properly grounded power
outlet.
The machine must be kept clean by frequently washing the grid, drip
tray, filter holder, filters, water tank, steam/hot water wand and ac-
cessories (tamper, dose spoon and brush). Maintenance must be car-
ried out with the machine off.
IMPORTANT:
Never immerse the machine or its removable compo-
nents in water or put it in the dishwasher.

Use of the appliance
Read all instructions.
• This machine is manufactured to make espresso coffee and to dis-
pense hot water and steam: Be careful not to scald yourself with
water jets or through improper use of the machine.
• This appliance is intended to be used in household and similar applica-
tionssuchas:
- staff kitchen areas in shops, offices and other work environments
- farm stays
- clients in hotels, motels and other residential environments

Installation of the appliance
• Read the instructions carefully.

• Check that the mains electric voltage corresponds to the require-
ments indicated on the machine data plate. Only connect the
appliance to a properly grounded power outlet with a minimum
rating of 6 A for models powered at 230Vac, and 15 A for models
powered at 120Vac.
• If the plug and socket are not compatible, have the plug replaced
with a proper one by an authorised service centre.
• Place the machine on a counter top away from water taps and
sinks.
• After removing the packaging, check that the appliance is in per-
fect condition before installation.
• Donotleavethepackagingmaterialswithinthereachofchildren.

Pulizia dell’apparecchio
• Disinserirelaspinadall’impiantoelettricoquando sieseguelapulizia.

e poi verso l’esterno.
• Pulire la carrozzeria e gli accessori con un panno umido ed asciu-
gare successivamente con un panno asciutto non abrasivo. È
sconsigliato l’uso di detergenti.
• Non sottoporre l’apparecchio ad abbondanti getti d’acqua o ad im-
mersioni parziali o totali.
In caso di guasto dell’apparecchio
Non utilizzare l’apparecchio nel caso in cui il cavo o la spina siano
danneggiati, dopo un malfunzionamento della macchina o dopo
un danno di qualunque natura. Portare l’apparecchio al più vicino
centro di assistenza autorizzato per un controllo, riparazione o una
verifica sul corretto funzionamento.
Se il cavo d’alimentazione è danneggiato, deve essere cambiato
dal produttore o dal suo servizio assistenza.
Incasodiguastoodicattivofunzionamentodell’apparecchio,spegner-
lo e non manometterlo.
Per eventuali riparazioni, rivolgersi solamente ad un Centro di
Assistenza Tecnica autorizzato dal costruttore e richiedere l’utilizzo di
ricambi originali. Il mancato rispetto di quanto sopra può compromet-
tere la sicurezza dell’apparecchio e fare perdere il diritto alla garanzia.

Cleaning the appliance
• Unplug the appliance before cleaning.
• Wait until the appliance is cool before cleaning.
• Remove the water tank by pulling up slightly then outward.
• Clean the body and accessories with a damp cloth, then wipe
with a non-abrasive dry cloth. Do not use detergents.
• Do notexpose themachine to extended jetsof wateror immerseit in
water, partially or fully.
If the appliance breaks down
Do not use the appliance if the cord or plug are damaged or if the
machine shows signs of malfunctioning or has been damaged
in any way. Take the appliance to the nearest authorised service
centre to be checked or repaired or to verify that it is operating
correctly.
If the power cord is damaged it must be replaced by the manufac-
turer or an authorized service centre.
In case of damage or malfunction, turn off the appliance and do not
tamper with it.
For repairs contact a service centre authorised by the manufacturer
and request the use of original spare parts only. Failure to comply with
theseinstructionsmaycompromisethesafeoperationoftheappliance
and will result in the forfeiture of warranty rights.

ECO MODE
Lamacchinaèdotatadi unatecnologiachelarendesemprepronta
ad erogare caffè, vapore o acqua calda.
Con questa tecnologia vengono annullati i tempi di attesa legati al
raggiungimento della giusta temperatura di erogazione e la mac-
china può andare istantaneamente in stand-by dopo ogni prepa-
razione, consentendo così un risparmio energetico.
Improper use of the appliance

ECO MODE
Thetechnology usedinthe machine ensuresthat itisalwaysready
to dispense coffee, steam or hot water.
This technology eliminates the wait period needed for the ma-
chine to reach the right dispensing temperature and allows the
machine to instantly go into stand-by mode after each prepara-
tion, thereby saving energy.

DECALCIFICAZIONE
Quando la spia è accesa (luce arancione) e lampeggia lentamente, la macchina
richiede che venga eseguita la decalcificazione.
Leggere attentamente tutte le istruzioni prima di eseguire il ciclo.
DURATA: circa 20 minuti. NOTA: Se le operazioni non vengono eseguite nei tempi
indicati, la macchina non avvia il processo di decalcificazione: è necessario, quindi,
spegnere la macchina e ripetere le operazioni.
La formazione di calcare è la naturale conseguenza dell’utilizzo della macchina. La
decalcificazione consente di ottimizzare la pulizia e di rimuovere i residui di calcare
dal suo interno.
Se il ciclo di decalcificazione viene interrotto per mancanza di corrente elettrica, o
perché la macchina viene spenta erroneamente, si deve ripetere l’intera operazio-
ne prima di poter utilizzare la macchina.
NOTA: il ciclo di decalcificazione può essere messo in pausa premendo il tasto ; per
riprendere, dopo la pausa, premere nuovamente il tasto .
Utilizzare solo prodotti decalcificanti per macchine da caffè, disciolti secondo le modali-
tà di diluizione riportate sulle istruzioni del prodotto.
1. Spegnere la macchina ed estrarre il portafiltro.
2. Estrarre e riempire il serbatoio con acqua fresca potabile fino al livello MAX, poi aggiungere la
soluzione decalcificante e mescolare.
3. Posizionare un contenitore di almeno 1 litro di capacità sotto l’erogatore di caffè e direzionare la
lancia vapore/acqua calda nello stesso contenitore.
4. Tenere premuti contemporaneamente i pulsanti ON/OFF e per almeno 3 secondi. Al rilascio
dei pulsanti viene emesso un segnale acustico e la spia si accende (luce arancione) e lampeg-
gia a intermittenza.
5. Premere e rilasciare il pulsante per avviare il ciclo di decalcificazione. La spia è accesa
(luce arancione) e lampeggia molto velocemente. La macchina comincia ad erogare ad intermit-
tenza acqua con la soluzione decalcificante.
6. Al termine dell’erogazione di acqua con soluzione decalcificante la macchina emette una serie
di segnali acustici. La spia è accesa (luce blu) e lampeggia velocemente. È adesso richiesta la
fase risciacquo.
NOTA BENE: se viene nuovamente premuto il pulsante , il ciclo di decalcificazione
viene messo in stato di pausa. In questo caso la spia è accesa (luce arancione) e
lampeggia velocemente. La successiva pressione del pulsante riavvia il ciclo di
decalcificazione. La spia è accesa (luce arancione) e lampeggia molto velocemente.
DESCALING
When the light is on (orange light) and blinking slowly, the machine is in need
of descaling.
Read all instructions carefully before performing the cycle.
DURATION: about 20 minutes. NOTE: If the operations are not carried out in compli-
ance with the indicated timing, the machine will not start the descaling process. In
this case, turn off the machine and repeat the steps.
Limescale accumulation is a normal result of machine use. Descaling helps opti-
mise cleaning and removes limescale deposits from the inside.
If the descaling cycle is interrupted by a power failure or because the machine was
turned off incorrectly, you must repeat the entire procedure before you can use the
machine.
NOTE: The descaling cycle may be paused by pressing ; to resume, press
again.
Use only descaling products for coffee machines, dissolved according to the procedures
indicated in the instructions for the product.
1. Switch off the machine and remove the filter holder.
2. Remove the water tank and fill with fresh drinking water up to the MAX level, then add the
descaling solution and stir.
3. Place a container of at least 1 litre capacity under the coffee dispensing spout and point the
steam wand into the same container.
4. Press the ON/OFF button and the button simultaneously for at least 3 seconds until you hear
the audible signal.The will come on (orange light) and blink fast.

NOTA BENE: se viene nuovamente premuto il pulsante , il ciclo di risciacquo
viene messo in stato di pausa. In questo caso la spia è accesa (luce blu) e
lampeggia velocemente. La successiva pressione del pulsante riavvia il ciclo di

10.Rimuovere e svuotare il contenitore e il cassetto raccogli gocce, dopodiché reinserire il cassetto

WARRANTY LIMITATIONS

Use only descaling products suitable for coffee

The warranty does not cover failures caused by:

• changes made internally.
The warranty does not cover repair costs for machines that have
been tampered with by unauthorised service centres.
Such costs will be entirely payable by the customer. You are ad-

Leer atentamente el manual de instrucciones y las limitaciones de
la garantía.
La máquina debe estar conectada a una toma de corriente normal
con puesta a tierra.
La máquina se debe mantener limpia. Hay que lavar frecuentemente
la rejilla, la bandeja de goteo, el portafiltro, los filtros, el depósito del
agua, la lanza de vapor/agua caliente y los accesorios (presor, medi-
dor y cepillo). Realizar el mantenimiento con la máquina apagada.
IMPORTANTE:
No sumergir nunca la máquina ni sus componentes
desmontables en agua ni introducirla en el lavavajillas.
