6% Dopo aver rimosso l’apparecchio dalla confezione, controllare l’integrità della
fornitura in base al disegno e l’eventuale presenza di danni da trasporto. In
caso di dubbio, non utilizzare l’apparecchio e rivolgersi al servizio di assistenza
autorizzato.
6% Il materiale della confezione non è un giocattolo per bambini! Tenere il sacchetto
di plastica lontano dalla portata dei bambini; pericolo di soffocamento!
6% Il presente apparecchio deve essere utilizzato unicamente allo scopo per cui è

conforme e pertanto pericoloso.
6% Questo apparecchio può essere utilizzato da minori di età superiore a 12 anni,
da persone con capacità fisiche, sensoriali o mentali ridotte o da persone
inesperte solo se preventivamente istruite sull’utilizzo in sicurezza e solo se
informati dei pericoli legati al prodotto stesso. I bambini non possono giocare
con l’apparecchio. La pulizia e la manutenzione dell’apparecchio non può essere
fatta da bambini senza la supervisione di un adulto.
6% In caso di guasto o di cattivo funzionamento dell’apparecchio rivolgersi
solamente ad un centro di assistenza tecnica autorizzato.
6% NON esporre l’apparecchio all’influsso di agenti atmosferici (pioggia, sole).
6% NON utilizzare in prossimità del piano cottura della cucina. Prestare
attenzione affinché l’apparecchio non venga a contatto con superfici calde,
incandescenti, fiamme libere, pentole e altri utensili.
6% NON adatto per l’utilizzo con forno a microonde.
ATTENZIONE:
6% Il mancato rispetto delle presenti istruzioni o il cattivo utilizzo del prodotto,
possono essere fonte di potenziali pericoli.
6% Utilizzare il prodotto solamente con acqua potabile. Nel caso si ricevano da
parte delle autorità disposizioni che invitino a bollire l’acqua, seguire tali
disposizioni e non fare uso della caraffa filtrante.
6% Per persone che soffrono di deficit immunitario, si raccomanda di bollire
l’acqua del rubinetto prima di usarla e di filtrarla dopo il suo raffreddamento. Si
raccomanda per queste persone di bollire anche l’acqua filtrata.
6% Il sistema filtrante può aumentare il contenuto di potassio. In ogni caso il
contenuto di potassio in un litro d’acqua filtrata è notevolmente inferiore alla
RDA (dose giornaliera consigliata). Per soggetti affetti da patologie renali e/o
che seguono una dieta povera di potassio si consiglia di consultare il medico
prima di usare la caraffa filtrante.
6% Il sistema filtrante può aumentare il contenuto di sodio.In ogni caso il contenuto
di sodio in un litro d’acqua filtrata è notevolmente inferiore alla RDA (dose
giornaliera consigliata). Per soggetti affetti da ipertensione e/o che seguono
una dieta povera di sodio si consiglia di consultare il medico prima di usare la

caraffa filtrante.
6% Il sistema filtrante può ridurre la durezza dell’acqua. Raccomandiamo pertanto
alle persone affette da cardiopatie e a coloro che devono seguire una dieta
controllata di consultare il medico prima di usare la caraffa filtrante.
6% Per ragioni di igiene il contenuto della cartuccia è trattato con argento. Durante
la filtrazione una piccola quantità di argento può essere rilasciata in acqua.
Questo residuo è conforme alla direttiva della Comunità Europea 98/83/EC
e alle direttive dell’Organizzazione Mondiale della Sanità (OMS), relative alla
qualità dell’acqua per il consumo umano.
6% La caraffa filtrante e le cartucce filtranti (4) acquistati come scorta vanno
conservati in luogo fresco e asciutto.
6% Utilizzare la caraffa filtrante solamente con le cartucce filtranti (4) Imetec Acqua.
6% Consumare l’acqua filtrata entro 48 ore dalla relativa filtrazione.L’acqua che non
viene consumata subito va conservata in frigorifero e comunque consumata
entro le 48 ore.
6% NON immergere mai l’indicatore elettronico (2) in acqua, pericolo di
danneggiamento.
6% NON filtrare mai acqua calda, filtrare solo acqua fredda corrente.
6% NON lavare mai la cartuccia filtrante (4) con sapone o detersivi.
6% NON manomettere né rompere la cartuccia filtrante (4).
6% NON bere l’acqua filtrata ottenuta durante le fasi di ATTIVAZIONE DELLA
CARTUCCIA FILTRANTE.
6% NON lasciare la cartuccia filtrante (4) immersa completamente nell’acqua
per più di 8 ore.
6% NON utilizzare la cartuccia filtrante (4) quando ha superato il limite di 120
litri o dopo un mese dalla sua attivazione; maggiori dettagli sono spiegati nel
capitolo SOSTITUZIONE DELLA CARTUCCIA FILTRANTE.

FASI PRELIMINARI PRIMA DELL’UTILIZZO
!" Aprire la confezione di vendita e disimballare i componenti: coperchio (1), contenitore
di pre filtraggio (5) e caraffa (6).
!" Lavare il contenitore di pre filtraggio (5) e la caraffa (6):
!" a mano, con acqua e detergenti delicati e non abrasivi;
!" in lavastoviglie, assicurarsi che la temperatura massima dell’acqua non superi i 50°C.
!" Lavare il coperchio (1):
!" a mano, con acqua e detergenti delicati e non abrasivi, facendo attenzione a non
immergere in acqua l’indicatore elettronico (2);
!" asciugare con panno pulito e asciutto.
ATTIVAZIONE DELL’INDICATORE ELETTRONICO
!" Togliere il coperchio (1) dalla caraffa (6).
!" Premere il pulsante “RESET” dell’indicatore elettronico (2) finché non compaiono tutte
e quattro le tacche nere [Fig B].
!" Inserire il coperchio (1) sulla caraffa (6), l’indicatore elettronico (2) si attiverà
automaticamente [Fig F].
PREPARAZIONE DELLA CARTUCCIA FILTRANTE
!" Estrarre la cartuccia filtrante (4) dalla confezione e agitarla per 10 secondi circa.
!" Immergere completamente la cartuccia filtrante (4) in un contenitore con acqua fredda
per circa 15 minuti, agitandola di tanto in tanto per far uscire le eventuali bolle d’aria
contenute al suo interno [Fig C].
!" Inserire la cartuccia filtrante (4) all’interno del contenitore di pre filtraggio (5)
assicurandosi che aderisca perfettamente ai bordi [Fig D].
!" Inserire il contenitore di pre filtraggio (5) nella caraffa (6) [Fig E].
!" Inserire il coperchio (1) sulla caraffa (6) [Fig F].
ATTIVAZIONE DELLA CARTUCCIA FILTRANTE
!" Riempire con acqua il contenitore di pre filtraggio (5) fino all’orlo attraverso lo sportello
di riempimento (3) [Fig G].
!" Lasciar defluire l’acqua nella caraffa (6) attraverso la cartuccia filtrante (4). L’operazione
potrebbe richiedere dai tre ai cinque minuti [Fig H].
!" Svuotare l’acqua filtrata contenuta nella caraffa (6) nel lavello [Fig I].
!" Ripetere le operazioni precedenti relative all’attivazione della cartuccia filtrante altre
due volte.

UTILIZZO
!" Estrarre la cartuccia filtrante (4) dal contenitore di pre filtraggio (5) aiutandosi con
l’apposito anello e appoggiarla su una superficie pulita [Fig. L].
!" Sciacquare il contenitore di pre filtraggio (5) e la caraffa (6).
!" Asciugare con un panno pulito e asciutto.
!" Inserire la cartuccia filtrante (4) all’interno del contenitore di pre filtraggio (5)
assicurandosi che aderisca perfettamente ai bordi [Fig D].
!" Inserire il contenitore di pre filtraggio (5) nella caraffa (6) [Fig E].
!" Chiudere con il coperchio (1) [Fig F].
!" Riempire con acqua il contenitore di pre filtraggio (5) fino all’orlo attraverso lo sportello
di riempimento (3) [Fig G].
!" Lasciar defluire l’acqua nella caraffa (6) attraverso la cartuccia filtrante (4). L’operazione
potrebbe richiedere dai tre ai cinque minuti [Fig H].
!" Utilizzare l’acqua filtrata.
SOSTITUZIONE DELLA CARTUCCIA FILTRANTE
!" Per garantire un rendimento ottimale sostituire la cartuccia filtrante (4) dopo aver filtrato
120 litri d’acqua (pari ad una media di circa 4 litri al giorno per 30 giorni) ed in ogni caso
dopo un mese dall’attivazione.
!" La caraffa è dotata di un indicatore elettronico (2) che segnala quando è trascorso un
mese dall’attivazione; col trascorrere del tempo le barre dell’indicatore elettronico (2)
si spegneranno progressivamente fino a scomparire. Quindi sul display comparirà il
simbolo “ ” per segnalare la necessità di sostituire la cartuccia filtrante (4) [Fig M].
!" Estrarre la cartuccia filtrante (4) usata dal contenitore di pre filtraggio (5) aiutandosi con
l’apposito anello [Fig L].
!" Smaltire la cartuccia filtrante (4) secondo quanto indicato nel capitolo SMALTIMENTO.
!" Lavare il contenitore di pre filtraggio (5), la caraffa (6) e il coperchio (1) secondo quanto
descritto all’inizio del capitolo FASI PRELIMINARI PRIMA DELL’UTILIZZO.
!" Ripetere le operazioni nel capitolo FASI PRELIMINARI PRIMA DELL’UTILIZZO dei
paragrafi:
!" ATTIVAZIONE DELL’INDICATORE ELETTRONICO
!" PREPARAZIONE DELLA CARTUCCIA FILTRANTE
!" ATTIVAZIONE DELLA CARTUCCIA FILTRANTE.
CONSIGLI UTILI
!" Lavare il contenitore di pre filtraggio (5), la caraffa (6) e il coperchio (1) secondo quanto
descritto all’inizio del capitolo FASI PRELIMINARI PRIMA DELL’UTILIZZO almeno una
volta alla settimana.
!" In caso di non utilizzo del prodotto per più giorni, togliere la cartuccia filtrante (4) e
conservarla in frigorifero. Prima di riutilizzare nuovamente il prodotto ripetere le
operazioni del paragrafo ATTIVAZIONE DELLA CARTUCCIA FILTRANTE (capitolo
FASI PRELIMINARI PRIMA DELL’UTILIZZO).
!" L’indicatore elettronico (2) ha una durata di circa 2 anni. Per la sostituzione portare il
coperchio (1) al servizio autorizzato di assistenza ai clienti Imetec.

PROBLEMI E SOLUZIONI
Se si verificasse uno dei problemi indicati, adottare la soluzione proposta:
SMALTIMENTO
L’imballaggio del prodotto è composto da materiali riciclabili. Smaltirlo in conformità
alle norme di tutela ambientale.
SMALTIMENTO DELLA CARAFFA FILTRANTE
Smaltire la caraffa (6), il contenitore di pre filtraggio (5) e il coperchio (1) ad esclusione
dell’indicatore elettronico (2) considerandoli come materiali plastici.
SMALTIMENTO DELLA CARTUCCIA FILTRANTE
Smaltire la cartuccia filtrante (4) considerandola come rifiuti solidi urbani.

SMALTIMENTO DELL’INDICATORE ELETTRONICO
Ai sensi della norma europea 2002/96/CE, l’indicatore elettronico (2) in disuso
deve essere smaltito in modo conforme, ma non prima di aver tolto la batteria.
I materiali riciclabili contenuti nell’apparecchio vengono recuperati, al fine di
evitare il degrado ambientale. Per maggiori informazioni, rivolgersi all’ente di
smaltimento locale o al rivenditore dell’apparecchio.
SMALTIMENTO DELLE BATTERIE
Il presente indicatore elettronico (2) contiene una batteria di tipo LR44.
AVVERTENZA:
Non gettare le batterie nei rifiuti domestici: devono essere smaltite separatamente.
!" Rimuovere l’indicatore elettronico (2) sollevando la levetta situata sulla parte superiore
[Fig N].
!" Rompere l’indicatore elettronico (2) aiutandosi con un utensile (es. un martello) e
facendo attenzione a non ferirsi. Si consiglia di utilizzare dei guanti di protezione [Fig
O].
!" Rimuovere la batteria e smaltirla presso un centro di raccolta specifico [Fig P].

SAFETY WARNINGS
.* After having removed the appliance from its packaging, verify its integrity
based on the drawing and check for any damage caused during transport. If in
doubt, do not use the appliance and contact the authorised assistance service.
.* Do not let children play with the packaging! Keep the plastic wrapping out of
the reach of children; risk of suffocation!
.* This appliance must be used only for the purpose for which it was designed,
that is as a DOMESTIC APPLIANCE FOR THE TREATMENT OF DRINKING
WATER. Any other use is improper and potentially dangerous.
.* The appliance may be used by children below 12 years of age, by persons with
reduced physical, sensorial or mental abilities or persons lacking experience
only if they have received prior instructions concerning its safe use and if they
are informed as to the dangers related to use of the appliance. Children may
not play with the appliance. Appliance cleaning and maintenance cannot be
completed by children without adult supervision.
.* Should the appliance break or stop working properly, turn it off and do not
attempt to mend it yourself.
.* DO NOT expose the appliance to weather conditions (rain, sun).
.DO NOT use near a hob. Make sure that the appliance does not come into
contact with hot incandescent surfaces, naked flames, pans and other utensils.
.* NOT suitable for use with microwave oven.
ATTENTION:
.* Failure to follow these instructions or misuse of the product may be a source
of potential danger.
.* Only use the product with drinking water. If provisions are given from authorities
that invite to boil the water, follow these provisions and do not use the filtering
jug.
.* For persons suffering from immune deficiency, it is recommended to boil the
tap water before using it and to filter it when it has cooled down. It is also
recommended to boil the filtered water for these persons.
.* The filtering system can increase the content of potassium. In any case, the
content of potassium in a litre of filtered water is much lower than the RDA
(Recommended Dietary Allowance). For subjects with kidney pathologies
and/or who follow a diet poor in potassium, consult a doctor before using the
filtering jug.
.* The filtering system can increase the content of sodium. In any case, the content
of sodium in a litre of filtered water is much lower than the RDA (Recommended
Dietary Allowance). For subjects with hypertension and/or who follow a diet
poor in sodium, consult a doctor before using the filtering jug.
.* The filtering system can reduce the hardness of the water. We therefore
recommend that persons suffering from heart disease and those who must
follow a controlled diet, consult the doctor before using the filtering jug.

.* For hygiene reasons, the content of the filter is treated with silver. During
filtering a small amount of silver may be released into the water. This residue
is in compliance with the 98/83/CE European Community Directive and the
Directives of the World Health Organisation (WHO), relative to the quality of
water for human consumption.
.* The filtering jug and the filtering cartridges (4) purchased as stock must be
kept in a fresh and dry place.
.* Use the filtering jug only with the Imetec Acqua filtering cartridges (4).
.* Consume the filtered water within 48 hours from relative filtering. Water that is
not consumed immediately must be kept in the fridge and however consumed
within 48 hours.
.* NEVER place the electronic LED (2) in water, damage hazard.
.* NEVER filter hot water, only filter running cold water.
.* NEVER wash the filtering cartridge (4) with soap or detergents.
.* NEVER tamper with or break the filtering cartridge (4).
.* DO NOT drink the filtered water obtained during the ACTIVATION OF THE
FILTERING CARTRIDGE phases.
.* NEVER leave the filtering cartridge (4) completely in the water for more than
8 hours.
.* DO NOT use the filtering cartridge (4) when the limit of 120 litres has been
passed or after one month from its activation. Further details are given in the
REPLACING THE FILTERING CARTRIDGE chapter.

PRELIMINARY PHASES BEFORE USE
!" Open the packaging and unpack the components: lid (1), pre-filtering container (5) and
jug (6).
!" Wash the pre-filtering container (5) and the jug (6):
!" by hand, with water and delicate, non-abrasive detergents;
!" in the dishwasher, making sure the water’s maximum temperature does not exceed
50°C.
!" Wash the lid (1):
!" by hand, with water and delicate, non-abrasive detergents, paying attention not to
introduce the electronic LED into the water (2);
!" dry with a clean, dry cloth.
ACTIVATION OF THE ELECTRONIC LED
!" Remove the lid (1) from the jug (6).
!" Press the electronic LED “RESET” button (2) until all four black notches appear [Fig B].
!" Insert the lid (1) onto the jug (6), the electronic LED (2) will activate automatically [Fig

PREPARING THE FILTERING CARTRIDGE
!" Remove the filtering cartridge (4) from the package and shake it for about 10 seconds.
!" Immerse the filtering cartridge completely (4) in a container of cold water for about 15
minutes, shaking it now and again to remove any air bubbles it may contain [Fig C].
!" Insert the filtering cartridge (4) inside the pre-filtering container (5) making sure it
adheres perfectly to the edges [Fig D].
!" Insert the pre-filtering container (5) into the jug (6) [Fig E].
!" Insert the lid (1) onto the jug (6) [Fig F].
ACTIVATING THE FILTERING CARTRIDGE
!" Fill the pre-filtering container with water (5) through the filling hatch (3) [Fig G].
!" Allow water to flow into the jug (6) through the filtering cartridge (4). The operation may
require from three to five minutes [Fig H].
!" Empty the filtered water contained in the jug (6)into the sink [Fig I].
!" Repeat the previous operations relative to the activation of the filtering cartridge
another two times.

!" Extract the filtering cartridge (4) from the pre-filtering container (5) with the aid of the
relevant ring and rest it on a clean surface [Fig. L].
!" Rinse the pre-filtering container (5) and the jug (6).
!" Dry with a clean, dry cloth.
!" Insert the filtering cartridge (4) inside the pre-filtering container (5) making sure it
adheres perfectly to the edges [Fig D].
!" Insert the pre-filtering container (5) into the jug (6) [Fig E].
!" Close with the lid (1) [Fig F].
!" Fill the pre-filtering container with water (5) through the filling hatch (3) [Fig G].
!" Allow water to flow into the jug (6) through the filtering cartridge (4). The operation may
require from three to five minutes [Fig H].
!" Use the filtered water.
REPLACING THE FILTERING CARTRIDGE
!" To guarantee excellent performance, replace the filtering cartridge (4) after having
filtered 120 litres of water (equal to an average of 4 litres a day for 30 days) and always
after one month from activation.
!" The jug has an electronic LED (2) that indicates when a month has passed from
activation.With the passing of time, the electronic LED bars (2) switch-off progressively
until they disappear.Therefore the “ ” signal will appear on the display to signal the
necessity to replace the filtering cartridge (4) [Fig M].
!" Extract the filtering cartridge (4) used by the pre-filtering container (5) with the aid of
the relevant ring [Fig. L].
!" Dispose of the filtering cartridge (4) according to that indicated in the DISPOSAL
chapter.
!" Wash the pre-filtering container (5) and jug (6) and the lid (1) according to that described
at the start of the PRELIMINARY PHASES BEFORE USE chapter.
!" Repeat the operations in the PRELIMINARY PHASES BEFORE USE chapter in
paragraphs:
!" ACTIVATION OF THE ELECTRONIC LED
!" PREPARING THE FILTERING CARTRIDGE

USEFUL ADVICE
!" Wash the pre-filtering container (5), the jug (6) and the lid (1) according to that
described at the start of the PRELIMINARY PHASES BEFORE USE chapter, at least
once a week.
!" If the product is not used for several days, remove the filtering cartridge (4) and keep it
in the fridge. Before using the product again, repeat the operations in the ACTIVATION
OF THE FILTERING CARTRIDGE paragraph (PRELIMINARY PHASES BEFORE USE
chapter).
!" The electronic LED (2) has duration of about 2 years. For replacement, take the lid (1)
to the Imetec customer after-sales service.

The product is packaged in recyclable materials. Dispose of it in compliance with the

DISPOSING OF THE ELECTRONIC INDICATOR
In accordance with 2002/96/CE EU Directive, the unused electronic LED (2) must
be disposed of in compliance but not before the battery has been removed. The
recyclable materials contained in the appliance must be recovered so as to prevent
environmental pollution. For further information, contact the local disposal body or
the appliance dealer.
DISPOSING OF THE BATTERIES
This electronic indicator (2) contains an LR44 battery.
WARNING:
Do not dispose of the batteries in domestic waste: these must be disposed of separately.
!" Remove the electronic LED (2) lifting the lever in the upper part [Fig N].
!" Break the electronic indicator (2) using a tool (e.g. a hammer) paying attention so as
not to cause injury. The use of protective gloves is recommended [Fig O].
!" Remove the battery and dispose of it at a specific collection centre [Fig P].
