General features.
VICTRIX Plus is a condensation type wall-hung room sealed
fan-assisted boiler for central heating only, designed to work
with a Plus storage tank with an 80, 105, 120 or 200-litre
capacity.
anks to the condensation technology this boiler stands out
for its high performance and wide modulation range (from
20% to 100% of nominal heat power).
ere are two versions in the range with working outputs of
23.5 kW (20210 kcal/h) and 32.0 kW (27520 kcal/h) and
both models feature an innovative total premix combustion
system that ensures minimal pollution emissions. ey can
run on natural gas or LPG.
anks to their excellent energy performance, these boilers
bear the 4-star mark (´´´´) in conformity with the P.D.
660/96.
e appliance is regulated and controlled by means of a printed
microprocessor control board which, via a display, shows the
state of boiler operation (temperatures, safety devices, etc.) and
enables it to be connected (optional) to the Remote Control,
to the external probe, to the zone control unit and to the
Multisystem Distribution Manifold.
e hydraulic circuit features a water-gas coil exchanger in
stainless steel, a 3-way hydraulic diverter valve and an adjustable
by-pass on the system.
All boilers are fitted with an antifreeze device for temperatures
of -5 °C.
e VICTRIX Plus boiler has to be installed using the suc-
tion/exhaust kit or the ducting systems (60 mm Ø rigid and
80 mm Ø flexible) made of plastic and expressly conceived for
the Immergas condensation boilers.
e AISI 316L stainless steel storage tanks are supplied with
an anode and domestic hot water expansion vessel as standard
features and can be connected to the recirculation system by
means of a specific kit (optional).

e primary circuit with relevant control and safety devices is
triggered each time there is a request for central heating or
domestic hot water.
Operation.
e heat contained in the products of combustion is absorbed
by the pipes of the coil water-gas exchanger fitted in the con-
densation module (14) which, in turn, transfers it to the water
circulating inside thanks to the boiler pump (26).
When the boiler is working only in the central heating mode,
the water is transferred directly into the system while if it is
coupled to the storage tank it can be diverted to inside the
storage tank coil.
is depends on the position of the electric 3-way diverter valve
(5) which, depending on the request, permits flow through the
system delivery (M) and return (R) pipes, or it diverts the flow
to the storage tank coil.
Flow-head graph.
e trend of the curve that represents the flow-head ratio,
depends on how the system by-pass is adjusted. Depending
on the position, it provides the system with a higher or smaller
head. Circulator.
e circulator works on the primary circuit return and is
located on the brass assembly.
It is connected to the enbloc by means of a threaded connec-
tion while the condensation module and the expansion vessel
are connected by means of coupling pipes (2) and an O ring
(3), locked by special forks (1).

Safety devices and checks.
Adjustable system by-pass (3).
is device guarantees the circulation of water in the primary
circuit (between delivery and return) even when it would be
prevented by the high resistance of the system.
It is mounted on an enbloc and can be adjusted by means of
a screw accessible from the bottom part of the valve support
plate.
No-water pressure switch (1).
is detects the pressure difference at the ends of the circula-
tor.
It is housed in the enbloc and connected to a microswitch that
prevents the burner working if the pump is blocked or there
is no water in the boiler circuit.
It prevents the main exchanger from overheating.
Automatic air vent (6).
It automatically expels any gaseous substances from the boiler
circuit.
It is screwed to the water side of the expansion vessel.
3-bar safety valve (2).
It is located at the front of the 3-way enbloc and prevents safety
pressure being exceeded in the circuit (3 bar).
When this valve trips it causes water to exit from the delivery
pipe.
One-way valve (4).
(up to serial number 2279840 for VICTRIX 20 Plus)
During the d.h.w. mode it prevents natural circulation starting
in the central heating system.
“Europa” type one-way valve (5).

During the d.h.w. mode it prevents natural circulation starting
in the central heating system.
It is housed at the end of the system delivery pipe where the
boiler’s connection unit is located.
Expansion vessel (7).
It offsets volume variations resulting from the water being
heated thus restricting pressure variations.
It is mounted at the back of the appliance and connected to
the pump by means of a coupling tube.
It has a capacity of 8 litres and a 1 bar pre-load pressure.

Secondary circuit (domestic hot water circuit).
e secondary circuit comes into use whenever it is necessary
to bring the temperature in the storage up to the temperature
wanted, measured with the d.h.w. NTC probe (4).
Operation.
Following a domestic hot water request, the modulating control
board starts the boiler pump (1) and powers the electric 3-way
diverter valve motor (2). When the valve consequently moves
into the d.h.w. position (see electric 3-way diverter valve), it
closes the system return pipe (R1) and simultaneously opens
the storage tank coil return pipe (RB).
In this way, circulation is permitted in the coil (3) which,
through its walls, lets the cold domestic water absorb the heat
contained in the primary circuit water.
In this phase the heating function is off, the production of
domestic hot water having priority.
Storage tank.
e PLUS storage tanks, 80, 105, 120 and 200 litres, consist
of a coil storage tank insulated with polystyrene and fitted with
a casing and control panel.
e storage tank is made entirely in AISI 316 L stainless steel
and comprises an external casing enclosed at the top by a flange
fixed with 12 screws.
A coil is housed inside (two coils in the 120- and 200-litre
versions) consisting of a concentric spiral shaped stainless
steel pipe and through whose walls thermal exchange occurs
between the primary circuit hot water and the water inside
the storage tank.
is keeps the water inside the storage tank at a constant
temperature and, when water is drawn, the instant produc-
tion of hot water.
Whenever it is necessary, the coil can be taken out of the storage
tank after removing the top inspection flange.
e storage tank features a series of devices that, besides guar-
anteeing proper operation, also guarantee integrity:
Anode (6).
It is inside the storage tank and preserves it from the galvanic
currents. It is screwed to the top flange.
Polyphosphates metering unit (optional).
It prevents limescale depositing on the coil walls.
e kit is mounted on the domestic cold water inlet.
Safety valve unit (14).
is unit is located at the top of the storage tank, by the do-
mestic cold water inlet.
Besides an 8 bar valve (“7” d.h.w. circ.) that prevents the safety
pressure inside the storage tank from being exceeded, this unit
also includes:
- a one way diverter valve (“8” d.h.w. circ.) that prevents the
increase in pressure (as aresult of heating domestic water)
from causing a return to the water mains.
- a 12 l/min flow limiter (only on the 80- and 105-litre ver-
sions).

ON-OFF thermostat kit (12) (optional).
is kit adapts storage tank operation to systems with ON-
OFF type temperature control.
It consists of a thermostat whose bulb is put in place of the
NTC sensor and electrically wired to the storage tank’s control
panel terminal board.
It is adjusted by way of the control panel after having removed
the cap (13).
Recirculation kit (11) (optional).
If your boiler includes a d.h.w. recirculation system, this kit
is used to connect it.
It consists of a pipe that is inserted in the storage tank after
have removed the anode (6) and relative cap.
With installation of the kit, the anode (6) has to be screwed
on the end of the pipe.
Note: the recirculation probe fitting (11) is already mounted
on the 105 and 200 litre storage tanks.
Domestic hot water drainage cock (10).
is brass cock features a hose-end fitting and is screwed on
the outside wall of the storage tank through which the water
inside the tank can be drained.
Storage tank NTC sensor (B4) (4).
anks to this sensor the modulating control board is able to
read the temperature of the water inside the storage tank.
It is fitted inside a bulb holder against the outside wall of the
storage tank.
Domestic hot water expansion vessel (9).
It offsets volume variations resulting from heating the water
in the storage tank.
It has a 4-litre capacity in the 80- and 105-litre versions, 5 litres
in the 120-litre version and 8 litres in the 200-litre version.

To guarantee the heat exchange of all the boiler’s nominal
heat power, the hydraulic connection with the PLUS unit

Motorised 3-way diverter valve.
is electric 3-way diverter valve works on the primary circuit
return and, depending on the request made (d.h.w. or central
heating), it transfers boiler water to the central heating system
or to the storage tank coil.
is depends on the position of the shutter (3) which closes
the passage to the system while opening it to the storage tank
(d.h.w. position) or vice versa (central heating position).
e motor (1) has to be powered in order to move the shutter
(3) in either position.
Operation.
When either the central heating or d.h.w. position has to be
reached, the modulating control board starts the motor (1)
running.
Motor operation, whose rpm are reduced by a gear system,
turns a disk (6) that is eccentrically fixed on the motor shaft.
Movement of this disk causes the joint (5) to shift and, with
each 180° turn, it presses (domestic hot water position) or
releases (central heating position) the shutter’s counteracting
spring (4).
When the position required is hydraulically reached, it alterna-
tively opens a limit switch micro (2) and closes the other.
In this way power can be cut to the motor, locking it in the
position reached, and can be enabled only when a different
request is made (d.h.w. or central heating signal).

It permits operation of the boiler with 3 zone valves or external pumps
controlled by the relevant room thermostats.

reset, etc) and it also acts as a weekly timer-thermostat.
Together with an external sensor (B3), it enables the modulating control
board to change the system delivery temperature according to the outside
temperature.

Electrical circuit.
Heating phase.
Operating with a room thermostat.
With the main switch (S1) on WINTER it powers the modu-
lating control board and enables operation in the heating
mode.
When the room thermostat contact (TA) closes, the low volt-
age circuit starts the pump (M1) by means of the K2 relay
contact.
e flow of water intercepts the pump pressure switch (S2)
whose contact, on closing, energises the coil of relay K3.
At the same time, the adjustment circuit causes the relay K1
contact to divert until the 3-way diverter valve (M3) motor (M)
is powered. is motor keeps working until the limit switch
“A” opens when the central heating position is reached.
If the temperature measured by the NTC heating sensor (B1)
is below that set on the control panel with the heating poten-
tiometer, the low voltage circuit starts the fan (M2) and then
closes the contact of the request relay (K3).
Hence the control unit (IGN. BOARD) starts the ignition
cycle, first energising the ignition electrodes (E1-E2) and then
with the possible tripping of the fume thermostat (E6) both
gas valve coils (Y1) after it has been enabled by the overtem-
perature thermostat (E4).
Burner ignition is detected by this same control unit (IGN.
BOARD) by way of the ionisation electrode (E3).
Operation with the Amico Remote Control.
With the main switch (S1) on SUMMER, the modulating
control board and the Amico Remote Control (CAR) are
powered.
If the conditions detected by the Amico Remote Control
(CAR) require ignition in the heating phase (CAR SUM/WIN
selector switch on WINTER, heating temperature setting above
that detected by the heating sensor (B1), room temperature setting
higher than that read), the board turns the pump (M1) on by
means of relay K2 and ignition occurs as described above.
Note: In both cases, each time the control unit switches off due to
the set temperature having been reached, the modulating control
board turns the burner off in the heating phase for 180 seconds.












