the vertical
The upper anchorage point and the upper anchorage
must have a holding force of at least 21kN.
Vertical use: (+/- 15° on all sides)
The upper anchorage point and the upper anchorage
must have a holding force of at least 17.5kN.
Lower anchor
For vertical use (90° - 70°)
The lower anchorage point and the lower an-
chorage must have a holding force of at least
1.5kN. For possible variants see sketches 5.1 and
5.2.
For inclined use (70° - 45°)
The lower anchorage point and the lower an-
chorage must have a holding force of at least
15kN. Only version sketch 5.2 possible.
Straight Rope Guidance
The rope guides, which are mounted at intervals of
max. 6 - 8 m, hold the rope in the correct position.
The rope guide and the fall arrester are designed
in such a way that the latter can be pushed th-
rough the rope guides. This allows easy ascent and
descent on vertical and inclined ladders of masts,
antennas as well as inclined pavements or other

7. Mounting the Fall Arrest Device
Attention: Before mounting, check the functional direction (arrow on the device):
- Remove the karabiner (EN 362) from the latch.
- Move the latch to the very top.
- Mount the fall arrest device on the cable (arrow must point upward).
Arrow mark must point upwards
The fall arrester has an integrated safety, which prevents incorrect insertion at the rope.
If the arrow points downward, the safety prevents complete opening and so incorrect
insertion on the rope.
- Let go of the latch.
- Hook the karabiner (EN 362) with the special absorber to the latch.
- Let the fall arrest device glide upward to make sure it moves freely.
- Pull the fall arrest device downward to make sure the clamping mechanism works.
- Hook the lanyard with the special absorber and karabiner (EN 362) to the fall arrest eyelet of the full body
harness (EN 361).
In case of doubt regarding usage of the fall arrest device „Fallbloc 2“, it is insisted not to use the device.
Attention:
The lanyard 1.08.011 (comprising 2 karabiner with bar and a absorber strap - total length is 30 cm) may not be
extended, otherwise the proper functioning of the fall arrest device cannot be guaranteed.
When ascending or descending, the sliding safety harness must never be tampered with since this can impair
the safe operation of the braking mechanism.
The fastener can first be separated from the guide when the user has a secure position or he is secured with
another system.
The climbing protection system type „Fallbloc 2“ must not be used for work positioning. A separate securing
system must be used for work positioning.
The fall arrester may only be attached to the fall arrester eyelet provided on the harness, and under no circum-
stances to the holding eyelets.
Travelling over the rope guides
When travelling over the rope guides, the user must stand still with both feet on the ladder rung and hold on
tight with one hand. With the other hand, the user pushes the fall arrester over the rope guide. This hand must
be positioned on top on the fall arrester (not underneath the clamping lever) to avoid clamping malfunction.
