SAFETY PRECAUTIONS
Be sure that you have read these SAFETY PRECAUTIONS thoroughly before using your INADA chair for the rst time. The
Operating Manual contains important information about how to use the chair safely and correctly, avoiding possible
damage to property or injury to persons using the chair and others. First of all, you should understand well the meaning
of the indications and symbols described below, which are used throughout the Operating Manual to highlight important
safety instructions. Please adhere to all precautions. Descriptions of each chair component can be found on pages 7-8.

grounding
●Space Requirements
This product must be grounded. If it should malfunction or breakdown, grounding provides a path of least
resistance for electric current in order to reduce the risk of electric shock. This product is equipped with a
cord having an equipment-grounding conductor and a grounding plug.
The plug must be plugged into an appropriate outlet that is properly installed and grounded in accordance
with all local codes and ordinances.
• Improper connection of the equipment-grounding conductor can result in the risk of electric shock.
Check with a qualied electrician or serviceman if you are in doubt as to whether the product is properly
grounded. Do not modify the plug provided with the product if it will not t the outlet; have a proper
outlet installed by a qualied electrician. This product uses on a normal Alternating Current(AC) circuit
and has a grounding plug that looks like the plug illustrated in the gure to the right. Make sure that the
product is connected to an outlet having the same conguration as the plug. No adapter should be used
with this product.

●Do not use a power supply other than the one specied.
→May result in re or electric shock.
●Do not use with any type of transformer device.
→May result in damage to the chair or electric shock.
●Do not use the chair if the power cord or plug is damaged, or if the wall outlet connection is loose.
→May result in electric shock, short circuit, or combustion.
●Before each use, check for holes or tears in the fabric of the active area. Also, check the other parts for tearing. Unplug the chair
and contact your local distributor for assistance. Never use the chair with the fabric of the active area removed or with holes or
tears in the fabric, because doing so is extremely dangerous.
→Using the chair with holes or tears in the fabric could result in injury or electric shock.
Required Action
●Persons with any of the following conditions should seek medical advice before using the chair:

→Any sudden impact on the leg rest could cause damage to the mechanism. Also, an accident or injury may result if the chair tips over.
●Do not use with anything other than the accessories supplied with this product.
Required Action
●Before plugging the power cord into the wall outlet, make sure that the main POWER switch is set to OFF.
→May result in damage to the chair or electric shock.
●Make sure that the plugs on the power cord are inserted fully into the cord connector and the wall outlet.
→May result in electric shock, short circuit, or combustion.
●Before using the chair for the rst time, turn on all the switches in order as indicated in this Operating Manual to check that the
chair is operating properly.
●Start o with a lighter massage.
→Starting with a deep massage may result in injury. Elderly people and persons with weak bones should be especially careful when selecting
massage intensity.
●For safety, rst check the position of the mechanism. If the mechanism is not in the storage position, turn the main POWER switch
ON and check that the mechanism returns to its storage position before sitting down slowly. For the storage positions, see page 7.
●Do not climb onto, stand on, sit on or otherwise subject the leg rests to a heavy load.
→Personal injury or damage to the chair may result if the chair tips over.
●If you use the chair after it has not been used for a long time, read this Operating Manual again thoroughly and check if the
chair operates properly.

tear, treat, unduly twist, stretch or bend the power cord or the remote control cord.

→May result in electric shock, short circuit, or combustion.
●Children and those who are unable to express their intentions should not use the chair. Keep children and pets o the chair and
away from the surrounding area (especially behind the reclining seat back or under the leg rest).
→Could result in accident or injury.
●Do not use the chair while more than one person is sitting in it. In particular, do not use the chair while holding a small child (or baby).
→Could result in accident or injury.
●Do not use the chair while your body is wet, or with wet hands.
→Could result in electric shock or damage to the chair.
●Do not use the chair if the fabric is torn. If it is, unplug the power plug from the wall outlet.
→Could result in an accident, injury or electric shock. Contact your local distributor for repairs.
●Do not release your hands suddenly while lifting the chair by hand.
Required Action
●Make sure no one, especially children or pets, is around the chair before starting a massage program or when lowering or
raising the reclining seat back. Be careful that people or objects are not caught behind the seat back or under the leg rest.

●If a person or object is trapped, press the recline button to return the chair to a safe position.

●Do not use the chair for purposes other than massage, or other than the ordinary uses of a chair.
→Could result in accident or injury.
●Do not use the chair to massage the head, chest, stomach, and/or joints (knees, elbows).
→May result in nausea or injury. Place a soft towel behind your neck if you want to avoid intense stimulation of the area.
●Do not place your hands into the roller tracks, or the moving parts of the reclining seat back or other areas. Do not sit wearing
hard objects, such as a hair accessory, necklace, watch, bracelet or ring.
→May result in personal injury.
●Do not place your legs anywhere other than the active area (leg mechanism) described in this Operating Manual.
●Do not place anything other than legs and feet on the leg rest.
→May result in personal injury.
●Do not operate the massage chair or leave it operating when there is no one in it.
→Could result in accident or injury.
Required Action
●
In an emergency, or if you nd any abnormal condition, push the EMERGENCY STOP button on the remote control to stop operation immediately.
●If you get acute pain or other unusual physical discomfort while using the chair, immediately discontinue the use of the chair
and seek medical advice.
●If you feel the massage is too strong, reduce the stimulation according to this Operating Manual. If this solution does not work,
stop using and contact your local distributor.
→May result in injury if you continue use with high stimulation under such circumstances.
●If you feel that the massage is too intense after removing the buer pad, stop use immediately and reinstall the buer pad.
→May result in personal injury.
●Do not operate a massage without the back pad.
●Do not fall asleep in the chair during a massage session.
→May result in personal injury.
●
Keep massage sessions to no longer than 30 minutes. Do not exceed 5 minutes for an area-specic massage of any particular part of the body.
→
Continuous use for extended periods of time can result in over-stimulation, which could cause the opposite of the desired eect, or even injury.
Limit the massage time to a total of about 30 minutes in a day.
●If your leg or foot comes out of the leg rest during the massage, do not try to force it back in.
→Undue force may result in damage to the mechanism.
Unplug
the chair
●If there is a power outage or the possibility of a power outage, stop operation immediately and turn the main POWER switch to
OFF. Unplug the power plug from the wall outlet.
→Accident or injury may result if the chair is still in operating mode when the power resumes.
●
If there is a threat of lightning, stop operation immediately and turn the main POWER switch to OFF. Unplug the power plug from the wall outlet.
●If an operation does not start, or if you nd any abnormality, stop the chair immediately and turn the main POWER switch to
OFF to prevent an accident. Unplug the power plug from the wall outlet. Contact your local distributor for inspection or repairs.
→Electric shock or re caused by a short circuit may result if the chair is left plugged in under such circumstances.
Safety Precautions: After Use or When Not in Use

●After using the chair, be sure to fully return the reclining seat back to the upright position.
●Wipe the chair o after every use, and store the chair in a place with low humidity.
●Do not place any object on the chair.

New, full-body approach to massage
Full body massage with a double active area mechanism
Two active area mechanisms are used, for the back and legs, and their operations can be synchronized for
integrated stretching. A centripetal method that returns the blood ow from the extremities of the body back
towards the heart and a centrifugal method that induces the blood to ow from the heart to the extremities of
the body are also available.
In addition, focused massages can be performed for your upper body and lower body at the same time, giving
you a thorough massage.

BEFORE USE

This product is shipped with the reclining seat back in its fully reclined position. Be sure to raise the seat back and
armrests.
●
Do not expose the chair to sudden bursts of heat. If the room where the chair is to be used is cold, turn the heat up
slowly. If the chair is moved from a cold place into a heated room, wait one hour before using the chair.
→Condensation could occur in the moving parts of the chair, which may compromise performance.
Installation
Allow for at least 40 cm (16 inch) clearance behind the chair and enough space in front of the chair for people to pass
by, to enable the seat back to be fully reclined without obstruction.
Caution
●Do not install the chair in an area of high humidity, such as a bathroom or sauna.
●Install on a at, level surface only.
●Do not install the chair where it can come into contact with direct heat, such as direct sunlight or a radiator.
●Keep re sources such as cigarettes and ashtrays away from the chair.
●To avoid damaging oor surfaces and to minimize the chair noise, it may be better to install the chair on a carpeted surface or to lay a piece of
carpet under the chair.
(Do not use electric blanket.)
●The chair is very heavy, so please be careful when unloading it so as not to damage oor surfaces.
●Install the chair at least 1 m (39 inch) away from TVs, radios, and other audio or video equipment. Otherwise they may make noises aected
by the operation of the chair.
●The load to the oor per 1 cm (0.4 inch) is approximately 1.0 kg (2.2 lb) with a person weighing 100 kg (220 lb) sitting on the chair.

How to Transport or Move the Chair
Turn the main POWER switch to OFF and disconnect the plug from the wall outlet before moving the chair.
How to Raise the Armrests
Raise the armrests with the following procedure.

①Raise the folded armrests.
■The chair is very heavy, so be careful not to hurt your lower back when transporting or moving it.
■The remote control is attached to the chair, so make sure that it does not fall when moving the chair.
Caution ●Do not move the chair while someone is in it.
●Be sure to disconnect the power cord from the wall outlet before moving the chair.
→The power cord may be damaged, resulting in re or electric shock.
To Move with the Wheels To Carry
Fully recline the seat back, hold the handle on the rear of
the leg rest, and then move the chair on the wheels by
lifting and holding up the front part of the chair.
Fully recline the seat back and carry the chair by holding
the handle on the upper part of the back cover and the
rear of the leg rest.
②Rotate the stopper to apply the lock.
(For safety, rotate as far as it will go.)
How to Fold the Armrests
Fold by following the raising procedure in reverse.
Caution ●Be careful not to trap your hands or ngers when raising or folding the armrests.
●If you use the chair while the armrests are not locked, they may fold accidentally.

How to Connect the Main Power
①First, plug the power

*If the main POWER switch is turned ON while the rollers are stopped partway, they will automatically return to the storage position and then stop.

How to Install the Remote Control Pocket
The remote control pocket can be installed on an armrest.
While the armrest is raised, rmly install the remote control pocket onto the velcro on the rear side of the armrest.
To remove, perform the installation procedure in reverse.

POSITION ADJUSTMENT
How to Sit
Normally, the mechanism is drawn back into the storage position.
For safety, rst check the position of the mechanism. If the mechanism is in any position other than the storage
position, turn the main POWER switch ON before sitting down to allow the mechanism to return to its storage position.
When you nish checking, sit down slowly in the center of the seat.
Caution
●Do not sit down on the chair while the seat back is reclined.
→
Any sudden impact on the reclining seat back or leg rest could cause damage to the mechanism. Also, an accident or injury may result
if the chair tips over.
●Start o with a lighter massage.
Headrest Adjustment
The headrest is attached to the chair with Velcro on its rear side so that you can adjust the position. Adjust the headrest
to match the position of your head before starting the massage.

The headrest cover attached to the headrest can be removed with the following procedure.
①Remove the headrest from the chair. ②

area in the center of the headrest cover, and pull out the
headrest from the open area on the side of the headrest cover.

Vertical Adjustment

Press the top recline button to raise the reclining seat back.

Press a recline button for 2 seconds or longer to move the
reclining seat back automatically to its maximum position.

How to Use the Leg Rests in the Soles Program
When using the soles program, check that the leg mechanism is in position, and then place your feet between the
rollers as shown in the gure below.
Insert your heels here.
While making sure there is nothing in the surrounding area, fully return the reclining seat back to its upright position.
Set the main POWER switch located at the back of the chair to OFF.
Unplug the power plug from the wall outlet. This will save energy because no standby power will be consumed.
Caution
●Be sure to turn the main POWER switch to OFF after every use and to unplug the power plug from the wall outlet.
→An accident or injury may result if children or pets play with the chair.
●After using the chair, be sure to fully return the reclining seat back to the upright position.
●Wipe the chair o after every use, and store the chair in a place with low humidity.
●Hold the power plug when unplugging from the wall outlet. Do not pull on the power cord.
●If the chair is left unused for a while, be sure to unplug it from the wall outlet.
●Be careful not to tangle yourself in the cords and trip over.
While the reclining seat back is

Preset Programs
The preset programs make it easy to select a program that suits your
preferences or objectives.
Healthcare Programs
Full Body Quick
This program is recommended for recovering from muscle fatigue over
the entire body in a short time.
Full Body Relief
The purpose of this program is to recover from muscle fatigue over the entire body.
The program performs integrated stretching for the shiatsu points over
the entire body, from the base of the neck to the ankles.
Morning
Massages along the veins, using a centripetal method that returns the
blood ow from the extremities of the body back towards the heart.
This program is recommended for refreshing or awakening the body.
Night
Massages along the arteries, using a centrifugal method that induces the
blood to ow from the heart to the extremities of the body.
This program is recommended before sleeping to relax the body.
Back Intensity Balance
This program adjusts the left and right balance of the body by
automatically adjusting the left and right roller push-out to perform a
massage that focuses individually on the left and right of the back.
Focused

Neck / Shoulders
This massage focuses on the base of the neck, back of the neck, top of
the shoulders, and shoulders.
Lower Back / Pelvis
This massage focuses on the area from the lower back to the buttocks,

Changing Programs
Before the program in progress nishes, you can change it to another program. After a total duration of 30 minutes,
the course in progress stops even if not completed.
Switching from One Preset Program in Progress to Another
When the button of one preset program is pressed while another preset program is in progress, the rollers return to
the detected shoulder positions, and the shoulder positions are checked again before starting the new program. The
shoulder positions can be adjusted while the shoulder positions are being checked again.
Switching from a Preset Program to a Manual Selection
When one of the buttons for a manual selection located inside the panel of the remote control is pressed while a
preset program is in progress, the preset program immediately stops, and the selected operation starts. If an
operation with shoulder detection is selected, the operation starts after checking the shoulder positions again.
(To select an air massage, rst select an operation such as kneading or tapping, or press the POWER button to stop
the preset program in progress before making the selection.)
Stopping in the Middle of a Massage
To stop mid-massage, press the POWER button. The rollers return to their storage positions and stop.
In an emergency or if there is some malfunction during the operation of the chair, press the
EMERGENCY STOP button. The rollers will stop immediately. After conrming safety, press the POWER button. The
rollers return to their storage positions and stop.

If you feel the massage is too strong, reduce the stimulation according to this Operating Manual. If this solution does not
work, stop using and contact your local distributor.
→May result in injury if you continue use with high stimulation under such circumstances.

Do not place your hands or feet into the roller tracks, or the moving parts of the reclining seat back or other areas.
Do not sit wearing hard objects, such as a hair accessory, necklace, watch, bracelet, or ring.

Keep massage sessions to no more than 30 minutes in length. Do not exceed 5 minutes for an area-specic massage of any

When a preset program is selected, the reclining seat back may recline automatically. Also, the reclining seat back moves

obstruction behind it. Also, do not let other people approach the chair during use.

back, and increases the number of massages on the left side of the back.
