Setup / Basic Operaon
Setup
1. Remove any packaging materials from the unit.
2. Connect the AC power cord to a wall outlet.
Note: To prevent interference, avoid bundling audio signal
cables together with the AC power cord.
Basic Operaon
1. Push the POWER buon to turn the unit on.
2. Select the source by pressing the corresponding mode buon (RADIO / CD / iPAD).
3. Rotate the VOLUME knob to adjust to
the desired sound level.
Note: The unit will keep both the last selected funcon
and FM memories even if the unit is unplugged. Aer use,
unplug the unit especially when it is not in use for extended period of me.
Listening through Earphones/Headphones (not included)
For private listening, first reduce the volume level to minimum.
Insert your headphones’ plug into the 3.5mm jack, then
adjust the volume up by turning the VOLUME knob.
Note: The speakers will automacally be deacvated while headphones are plugged in.
Warning: Listening to uncomfortable sound levels for prolonged periods could adversely affect your hearing.

CONDENSATION WARNING:
When the unit is moved from a cold or warm place, or is used following a sudden temperature change, there is the
danger that water vapor in the air may condense on the unit, prevenng proper operaon. In such cases, leave the unit
for 1-2 hours aer plugging it into an AC outlet to allow it to stabilize at the temperature of its surroundings.
Listening to iPad/iPhone/iPod
1. Press the “iPAD” selector buon.
2. Gently li the top tray. Adjust the joint so that
the stand is firmly posioned upright.
Note: Be careful not to pinch your finger when
opening/closing the top tray.
3. Insert aniPad/iPhone/iPod device (not included) onto the
Dock Connector at the boom of the top cover.
Note: Remove the dock cover before you dock your device.
4. Music will play automacally.
5. To pause playback, press the PLAY/PAUSE buon.
Press again to resume.
6. To skip to the next or previous track, press the TUN+/ or
TUN-/ buon once or twice.
7. To search for a poron of a track, press and hold either the TUN+/ or TUN-/ buon. Whena desired
poron is reached, release the buon and the track will resume normal playback.
8. To stop playback, press the STOP/MEMORY buon. Music will stop and go back to the menu.
9. Charging your device: The charging current is 5V 2.1A.The connected device will be charged on CD and iPad modes.
10. Aer use disconnect your device.
11. Push the joint first to release the lock and retract the top tray.
Listening to a CD
1. Press the “CD” selector buon.
“-- --” will blink for a few seconds.
2. Press the OPEN/CLOSE ( ) buon.
3. Place a disc onthe tray with the printed label face up.
4. Press the OPEN/CLOSE buon( ) to close the tray.
5. CD will be playing automacally. If not, press the PLAY/PAUSE buon ( ).
6. To temporarily pause playback, press the PLAY/PAUSE buon( ).Press again to resume.
7. To skip tracks forward or backward, press the corresponding skip buon (TUN-/ or TUN+/ ).Pressing the
TUN-/ buon once will restart the current track. Pressing the TUN-/ buon twice insuccessionwill
return to the beginning of the previous track.
8. To fast forward / rewind withina track, press and hold down the corresponding skip buonunl the desired
posion is reached. The track will be tracking at high speed.Whenyou release the buonthe track will be played
at normal speed.
9. To stop playback, press the STOP/MEMORY buon
Important:
- Never place more than one disc on the tray.
- The disc must be placed in the center of the disc tray. An incorrectly loaded disc can permanently damage the tray
door mechanism.
- Do not push the CD tray – always use the OPEN/CLOSE buon.
- It takes a moment for the unit to load a disc, during which all buons will be temporarily deacvated.
REPEAT/RANDOM PLAYBACK
Each me the M+/MODE buonis pressed, the repeat mode will cycle through the following opons:
REPEAT 1(Repeat one track)
The current track will be played repeatedly.If you press the (TUN-/ or TUN+/ ) buonto select another
track, the track you select will be played repeatedly.
REPEAT ALL (Repeat the enre CD)
The enre CD will be played repeatedly.
RANDOM PLAY
Tracks on a CD will be played ina random sequence.

Notes:
- Press STOP/MEMORY buon twice, or press one of the following buons, and repeat mode will be cancelled:
OPEN/CLOSE, POWER, RADIO or iPAD.
- Random/Repeat playback works with finalized discs only.
- Pressing the TUN+/ buon during random, playback will randomly select the next track.
- When the RANDOM playback of all the tracks has been finished, or the STOP/MEMORY buon is pressed, the unit
stops and random mode is cancelled.
- A track cannot be repeated during random playback.
- Random playback does not work during programmed playback.
PROGRAMMED PLAYBACK
Up to 20 tracks canbe programmed to play inthe desired order.
Notes:
- Random playback does not work during programmed playback.
- Programmed playback works with finalized discs only.
1. Press “CD” toenter CD mode, then load a CD.
2. While the CD is stopped, press the M-/PROGRAM buon.
3. Indicator “PROG” and “1:” appear on the display and “- -“ will start to flash.
4. Press (TUN-/ or TUN+/ ) to select a track number.
5. Press the M-/PROGRAM buonagainto set the current track.
“2:” is displayed and “- -“ flashes. Repeat steps 4 thru 5 to program the addional tracks.
6. When the selecon of track numbers has beenfinished, press the PLAY/PAUSE buon ( ) to start program
playback.
7. Tostop playback, press the STOP/MEMORY buon.
8. Tocancel program mode, press the STOP/MEMORY buon when the CD stops.
Tocheck the programmed order:
In stop mode, press the M-/PROG buon repeatedly to show the track numbers that have been programmed.
Toconnue programming tracks:
In stop mode, press the M-/PROGRAM buon.
Press the M-/PROG buon repeatedly to select a programmed track number that you want to change, thenpress the
TUN-/ or TUN+/ buon to select a desired track.
Press the M-/PROG buon and the current track will be stored to the program.
Toclear the programmed order:
Press STOP whenthe CD is already stopped, or press OPEN/CLOSE, POWER, RADIO, iPAD.
Listening to the Radio (FM)
1. Press the “RADIO” buon.
2. Tune to the desired staon using the RadioTuner Knob.
Note: In FM Mode the STEREO indicator ( ) appears when a staon is correctly tuned in.
Adjusng for Best Recepon:
FM broadcast: Extend and reposionthe FM antenna.
Toprogram a staon:
1. When a staon is tuned in, press the STOP/MEMORY buon.
2. “P” appears and “01” flashes on the display.
3. Press the M+/MODE or M-/PROGRAM buonto select a preset number.
4. Press the STOP/MEMORY buon again. The staon has beenstored on the selected preset number.
5. You canstore up to 30 staons.
Tolisten to a preset staon:
Press the M+/MODE or M-/PROGRAM buon.
Note: Your docked device (iPad / iPhone / iPod) will not be charged in FM working mode.
Maintenance / Proper Handling
Compact Disc Handling
•Always place the disc on the disc tray with the label side facing upward (compact discs canbe played only on one
side).
•Toremove a disc from its storage case, press down on the center of the case and li the disc upward, holding it
carefully by its edges.
•Toclean a disc, wipe the surface from the center hole outward towards the outer edge with a so, dry cloth.



•Neverusesuchchemicalsasrecordspray,antistaticspraysorfluids,benzineorthinnertocleandiscs;theywill
irreparablydamagethedisc’splasticsurface.
•Discsshouldbereturnedtotheircasesafterusetoprotectfromdustandscratches.
•Donotexposediscstodirectsunlight,highhumidity,orhightemperatureforextendperiodsoftime.
•PrintableCD‐RandCD‐RWdiscsarenotrecommended,asthelabelsidemaybecomestickyanddamagetheunit.
•Useasoft,oil‐based,felt‐tippedpentowriteinformationonthelabelside.Neveruseaball‐pointorhard‐tipped
pen,asdoingsomaydamagetherecordedside.
•DonotuseirregularlyshapedCDs(octagonal,heartshaped,businesscardsize,etc),astheywilldamagetheunit.
•ReadallprecautionssuppliedwithanyCD‐RorCD‐RWdisc.

Troubleshoong Guide
Please note:
In rare circumstances, your CD might not play properly in this device. If you insert a CD and the unit is
unresponsive, doesn’t read, or is not funconing properly, please follow one of the three soluons:
1) Please verify that you have the correct type of CD and it is not scratched or damaged.
This unit ONLY plays CD-R and CD-RW. This unit WILL NOT play MP3 CD’s or DVD-R’s.
2) Change the Mode - change the mode to Radio, or another mode, and then turn back to CD.
3) ON/OFF - Turn the unit OFF. Turn the unit back ON.
Either one of these soluons will fix this rare problem. If you are experiencing further problems, please contact our
customer support line.
GENERAL
Symptom Possible CauseSoluon
Unit will not power on. Unit is unplugged. Connect the unit to the AC

No sound output from

CD PLAYER
CD stops immediately aer

The CD is inserted upside down.
The CD is dusty or dirty or there is
condensaon on the CD.
Insert the CD with the printed
side right-side up.
Carefully clean and dry the CD.
No sound. The CD player is paused. Press the PLAY/PAUSE buon.

The CD is scratched, damaged or

Replace CD with an undamaged
one.

CD tray will not open FM or iPAD mode is selected. Select CD mode.
