Step 5: To take next
measurement, wait until
color coded ring stops
glowing. Press the
Power/Measure button
once and screen will
show “- - - -” and
blinking unit (°F or °C).
Load a new probe cover on the thermometer
probe. Repeat Step 3 and Step 4 above to
continue with measurement.
Measuring Object Surface
Temperature
Step 1: Press the
Power/Measure button to
turn the thermometer on.
Step 2: Press the Mode
button ( ) to switch
to Object measurement
mode ( ).
Step 3: Point
thermometer at the
object (for example: milk
bottle) within 2” or 5cm
distance away from the
surface.
Press the
Power/Measure button
once. Reading will be
displayed in about 1
second.
Note: Probe cover is not
required for measuring
object surface
temperature.
Note: To measure ambient
temperature, press the Power/Measure button
once without pointing at any object.

activity is detected, device will also power off
automatically in 30 seconds.
Step 3: Insert thermometer probe into the ear
canal. For accurate measurement, perform an ear
tug so that the probe is aligned with the eardrum.
