SYSTEM REQUIREMENTS

Windows® 7
• Computer with a USB port
Note: A USB 3.0 port is recommended. The maximum
resolution for a USB 2.0 port is 800 × 600.

INSTALLING THE DRIVER
To install drivers from the Internet:
1Open your web browser and go to
www.insigniaproducts.com.
2Type NS-PU96203 into the search box, then press
ENTER.
3Click the SUPPORT/DOWLOADS tab.
4Under Drivers, Firmware and Software, click English
next to “Windows 10 Driver.”
5If using Chrome, click the downloaded file at the
bottom of your browser.
OR
If using Microsoft Edge, click Run.
6Click Yes to allow the program to make changes, if
prompted.
7Follow the Setup Wizard’s instructions, then click
Finish when installation is complete.
8Restart your computer to configure the update.
Windows 10/Windows 8.1/Windows 8/Windows 7
1Connect the adapter to a USB port on your
computer. Your computer attempts to install the
driver automatically.
2If you’re using Windows 10, Windows 8.1 or
Windows 8, in the File Explorer, open This PC.
OR
If you’re using Windows 7, in the Windows Explorer,
open Computer.
3Open the NS-PU96203&3C drive, then
double-click NS-PU96203&3C again.
4Click Run or Yes to start the Setup Wizard.
5Follow the Setup Wizard’s on-screen instructions to
install the drivers, then click Finish when
installation is complete.
6Restart your computer to allow the changes to
take effect.
CONNECTING THE ADAPTER
• Connect the adapter to a USB port on your
computer, then connect a VGA cable (not
included) from the adapter to your display.
ADJUSTING YOUR SCREEN
RESOLUTION
Access display settings
Windows 10
1Use the adapter to connect the display to your
computer. See “Connecting the adapter.”
2Open Settings > System > Display > Advanced
display settings.
Windows 8.1/Windows 8
1Use the adapter to connect the display to your
computer. See “Connecting the adapter.”
2Open PC settings > PC and devices > Display.
Windows 7
1Use the adapter to connect the display to your
computer. See “Connecting the adapter.”
2Open Control Panel.
3If viewing by icons, click Display, then click
Adjust resolution in the menu on the left.
OR
If viewing by category, under Appearance and
Personalization, click Adjust screen resolution.

Extend or duplicate your displays
1Use the Multiple Displays drop-down to select
Duplicate these displays or Extend these
displays.
2Click Apply to view the change.
3Click Keep changes to save your settings or
click Revert to go back to your previous
settings.
Change your screen resolution
1Select the display you want to adjust.
2Use the Resolution drop-down menu (Windows
10/Windows 7) or slider (Windows 8.1/Windows
8) to select the resolution you want.
Note: If your adapter is connected to a USB 2.0 port,
the maximum resolution is 800 × 600.
3Click Apply.
4Click Keep Changes to save your settings or
click Revert to go back to your previous
settings.
TROUBLESHOOTING
My computer does not detect the adapter
• Make sure that all of the cables and plugs are
securely fastened.
• Try using another USB port on the PC or laptop.
• Make sure that your monitor is functioning properly
by testing it with a VGA cable connected to the VGA
port on another computer.
The driver did not install correctly
• Reinstall the driver by going into Device Manager,
selecting USB Video Class Device, right clicking on
Insignia USB Display Adapter then selecting
Uninstall. Reboot your system, then plug in the
adapter and repeat the installation process.
