SETTING UP & USING YOUR SMART PLUG
1Connect your mobile device to a WiFi network.
2Download and open the free Insignia Connect app .
3Log in or sign up for an Insignia or Best Buy account.
4Plug the Smart Plug into an outlet. A blinking green
LED means it’s ready for setup.
Note: If LED is not blinking, press and hold down
button for 10 seconds until LED stars blinking green.
5In the app, tap Set Up Device and follow directions.
6Plug a fan, heater, decorative lights, and more into the
plug and control it from the app, or use the Smart
Plug button. You can also use the Smart Plug to set a
schedule for your device.
Final at size: 17 × 4.92 in. (431.8 × 125 mm)

• Make sure that your mobile device and the SmartPlug are
connected to the same WiFi Network.
• Make sure your network is working properly.
• Reset your SmartPlug. Press and hold for 10 seconds (LED
will ash green and the Smart Plug will reset upon
release).
Get the app from the Apple App store or Google Playstore.
Your device must have iOS 8.0 or later or Android Jellybean
(5.0) or later.
• Make sure the devices you connected to the SmartPlug
are set to the on position.
• Make sure your mobile device and the SmartPlug are
connected to the same WiFi network.
