INTRODUCTION:
The IR-904 Indoor Micro Passive Infrared Sensor is designed to detect
movement of human targets within a distance of 20 feet. It has an internal
rechargeable battery which enables a very small size that can be easily hidden
/ attached to most objects.
FUNCTIONS:
When activated, the IR-904 transmits a wireless RF signal to any Intellicam
receiver, such as the WTM-2A or the RX-930 processor module, allowing it to
turn on a camera system or alert the Operator that activity has taken place.
BATTERY CHARGING:
The IR-904 has an internal rechargeable battery. Ensure the battery has a full
charge by carefully attaching the Charger Adapter Cable so that the large
alignment pin is aligned with the appropriate large alignment hole on the
sensor socket. Plug the USB connector into any computer. The LED on the
USB connector will illuminate to indicate charging is taking place. Once the LED
goes out, the battery has reached its full charge. Disconnect the Charger
Adapter Cable from the sensor. Charging is approximately 4 hours.
SENSOR OPERATION:
To power “on” the sensor, carefully attach the Switch Programming Module so
that the large alignment pin is aligned with the appropriate large alignment
hole on the sensor socket. When connected, the LED on the module will
illuminate briefly and then begin flashing in 1 second increments. This is the
“Range Test” mode which lasts for approximately 2 minutes. The “Range Test”
will allow the user to verify the communication distance between the IR-904
and a receiver. The “Range Test Mode” can be aborted by briefly tapping the
Programming Button. Or after 2 minutes, the sensor will automatically go into
“Alarm” mode.
In the Default Mode, the IR-904 Sensor is programmed for a Sensor ID of 3
and the Sensitivity is preset to ‘3’. You can change the ID and Sensitivity by
performing the following steps.
•Be sure the sensor is out of the “Range Test” mode. (No flashing.)
•Sensor ID may be set by holding the Programming Button down until
the LED illuminates.
•Immediately after the LED illuminates, release the Programming Button
and “tap” the number of times for the desired Sensor ID. The LED will
give you a series of confirmation flashes that indicate the selected
Sensor ID.
•After first setting the Sensor ID, Sensitivity may be set from levels 1 -5,
by holding the Programming Button down until the LED illuminates, then
release the Programming Button and “tap” the number of times to set
the desired Sensitivity. The LED will give you a series of confirmation
flashes that indicate the selected Sensor Sensitivity.
NOTE: After approximately 4 minutes, the LED no longer illuminates for
covert reasons. To reactivate the LED, simply momentarily press the
Programming Button.
