HDMI over Ethernet Extender
Introduction
This HDMI over IP Extender solution supports transmissions up to 120 m (390 ft.) over single Cat5e/6 cable
in point-to-point as well as point-to-many and many-to-many network wiring schemes. This HDMI over IP
solution can be used in a wide variety of locations and applications such as meeting rooms, classrooms,
metro stations, airports, homes, in mall advertisement and much more.

Connecting and Operating
1. Connect the HDMI signal source to the transmitter.
2. Connect the Ethernet ports of the transmitter and receiver with Cat5e/6 cable (cables must
follow the EIA-TIA 568B standard).
3. Connect the HDMI display into the receiver.
4. Connect the power supply to the power port.
5. Connect the IR TX cable to the IR TX port on the transmitter and affix the emitter onto the
source IR windows.
6. Connect the IR-RX cable to the IR-RX port on the receiver and place the IR receiver in direct
line of sight to the handheld remote control. It is recommended to affix the receiver on the
display frame/bezel or the display stand.
Attention: Insert/remove cables gently.

1. Connect HDMI TX and RX ports to a switch that supports VLAN.
2. An HTTP server is embedded in the TX and RX; you can set IP addresses for RXs via web
browser. Refer to the section Setup HDMI TX and RX below.

Setup HDMI TX and HDMI RX
An HTTP server is embedded in each TX and RX. You can set up IP addresses for HDMI extender pieces via
web browser.
•The default IP address of the TX is 192.168.168.55; its MAC address is 00:0b:78:00:60:01.
•The default IP address of the RX is 192.168.168.56; its MAC address is 00:0b:78:00:60:02.
Step 1: Assign the PC (or laptop) IP address on the computer: Control Panel → Network Connections →
Local Area Connections → Status →Properties →Internet Protocol (TCP/IP). Fill in the following in the
fields described:
•IP address field: 192.168.168.11 (0-255)
•Subnet mask: 255.255.255.0.
Press OK to save the configuration.
NOTE: The IP address of PC must be different from the IP addresses of the TX and RX.
Step 2: Use an Ethernet cable to connect the PC (or laptop) and the extender. The power LED for the
extender lights red and the status LED lights green.
Step 3: Ping the connected device through the sequence on computer: Start → Run → input CMD → input
ping 192.168.168.55 for TX or ping 192.168.168.56 for RX (you will receive the reply if the connection is
established).
Step 4: Login in IE: 192.168.168.55 (default IP for TX) or 192.168.168.56 (default IP for RX). Set up the IP
address, subnet mask, gateway, and MAC address for the TX and RX. Set IP addresses for each TX and each
RX (IP:192.168.168.XX [XX:1-255]). All IP addresses for TXs and RXs must be different.
Set MAC addresses for TX and RX (MAC: 00:0b:78:XX:XX-XX [XX:01-FF]). The MAC address for each TX and
RX must be different.
Step 5: Click Apply. The green LED light on the device will turn off, indicating you have successfully set IP
addresses for TX and RX.
NOTE: to restore the device to its factory default settings follow these instructions: power on the device;
the red LED lights. Wait 10 seconds; the green LED lights. Press the reset button for 5 –10 seconds. The
green light will go out, indicating you have successfully restored the IP address to the factory IP address.
Maintenance
Clean this unit with a soft, dry cloth. Never use alcohol, paint thinner of benzine to clean
this unit.

La presente garantía cubre los siguientes productos contra cualquier defecto de fabricación en sus materiales y mano de obra.
A. Garantizamos los productos de limpieza, aire comprimido y consumibles, por 60 dias a partir de la fecha de entrega, o por el tiempo en que se agote

(indispensable el sello y fecha de compra) donde lo adquirió, o bien, la factura o ticket de compra original donde se mencione claramente el modelo, número de
serie (cuando aplique) y fecha de adquisición. Esta garantía no es válida en los siguientes casos: Si el producto se hubiese utilizado en condiciones distintas a las
normales; si el producto no ha sido operado conforme a los instructivos de uso; o si el producto ha sido alterado o tratado de ser reparado por el consumidor o
