Inflating the airbed
NOTICE!
Risk of damage!
Improperly inflating the airbed may damage it.
− Only inflate the airbed with the provided pump.
The airbed needs to be fully inflated and stay in a warm, well-ventilated room for at
least 5 days before first use.
1. Find an unobstructed area of at least 170×110cm where there are no sharp edged
or pointed objects.
2. Remove the frame air valve plug. Insert the pump’s 8nozzle adapter 7. Make
sure that the pump is securely attached before inflating.
3. Start inflating the frame 3. It will take a few minutes to inflate the frame.
4. When the desired firmness for the frame has been reached, remove the pump and
its nozzle adapter and firmly replace the air valve plug.
5. Repeat steps 2 through 4 to inflate the mattress 4.
• The ambient temperature at the set up location affects the inner
pressure of the airbed. At a low ambient or room temperature, the air in
the airbed will contract and the airbed will feel softer.
− Add air until the desired firmness has been attained.
• At a high ambient temperature, air in the airbed will expand; the airbed
will feel harder and there is a risk of it bursting.
− Deflate the airbed somewhat to prevent damage; this will also ensure
that it is softer for your child. Do not expose the airbed to extreme
temperatures (hot or cold).
• The air in the airbed may expand and contract depending on the load
on the bed. The firmness of the airbed may also change as a result.
− Follow the above recommendations to add air or release some of the air.
• It is normal for new vinyl to expand. It is therefore possible that the
airbed initially loses some of its firmness and has to be inflated in order
to maintain the desired level of firmness. This is a normal occurrence
during the first days of use. The specified dimensions are only of an
approximate nature and may vary depending on the temperature of
the vinyl and air.
• Use a calibrated measuring device to measure and ensure the correct
air pressure.
