Overview
The Trimble
®
252/262/372 receiver is typically configured to accept CMR format RTK
corrections from an Intuicom RTK Bridge
®
-X which in turn has been configured to connect to a
GPS/GNSS reference network. The intended audience for this document is a dealer or
integrator familiar with the 252/262/372 and generally familiar with the Intuicom RTK Bridge-
X. The Intuicom RTK Bridge-X User Guide covers the steps necessary for its configuration.
1 Requirements for Installation
1.1 Required Information
In order to operate an Intuicom RTK Bridge–X, you are required to have the necessary
information to access and log in to the Real-Time Network. This information is entered
into the RTK Bridge–X and stored in a profile. More details on setting up an RTK
Bridge–X is available in the RTK Bridge-X manual.
• IP address,
• TCP port,
• NTRIP mountpoint name,
• username and password for access to the real-time GPS/GNSS network
1.2 Required Equipment
1.2.1 Intuicom Equipment and Accessories
1. Intuicom RTK Bridge–X with activated data provider account (Verizon, AT&T, etc…)
2. Intuicom RTK Bridge–X to 252/262/372 data/power cable:
[P/N: XRTKCAB-DD15]
3. Intuicom RTK Bridge–X Cellular/GPS antenna/cable:
[P/N: FIP4-MMDM-MM (magnetic mount)]
1.2.2 Other Equipment and Accessories
1. PC with serial port and Trimble AgRemote Software or monitor with AgRemote or RDI
config available.
2. Trimble 252/262/372 receiver with RTK (CMR) option enabled and Port B available
3. Trimble 252/262/372 Data Cable (50166) and source of power for 252/262/372 (or any
cabling system typically used to run Trimble AgRemote for configuration)

2 Installation Instructions
Below is the installation Diagram for the recommended installation of the Intuicom RTK
Bridge–X utilizing the equipment noted above.
Diagram 1
2.1 Configuration
• Configure the Intuicom RTK Bridge–X to connect to GPS/GNSS Reference network
and obtain CMR/CMR+ correction data stream from an appropriate single reference
station, such as a VRS.
• Configure the resulting RTK correction data to be output at a known baud rate (a
baud rate of 38400 is recommended).
• Confirm GPS and cellular antenna (typically a combined antenna with two coaxial
cables with TNC connectors) are connected and placed where they have good sky
view and good cellular signal.

Section 2: Installation Instructions
Version 1.0 4 Intuicom, Inc.
• Configure the pinout on the Deutsch connector on the RTK Bridge–X to 252/262/372
data/power cable to match the appropriate pin-out. See Pin-out Diagram 1

• Using the Intuicom RTK Bridge–X to 252/262/372 data/power cable (XRTKCAB-
DD15), connect the RTK Bridge–X data port to the B Port on the 252/262/372.
• Connect setup data/power cabling to the 252/262/372 Port A and a serial port on a PC
running AgRemote or connect to the receiver using a monitor with AgRemote or RDI
configuration software. Apply power and connect to the 252/262/372 with the
preferred software.
• Using AgRemote, configure the 252/262/372 receiver to receive RTK corrections in
the CMR format from Port C at a baud rate of 38400:
o The XRTKCAB-DD15 cable plugs into port B on the 252/262/372. However,
there are 2 serial port pinouts available on port B (labeled B & C). For this
application, port C is used.
o Configure DGPS Options – select the source as RTK
Deutsch connector
(DTM06-12S)
pinout

• Configure Port C – configure the input format to be “CMR” or “RtkLnk” at a baud
rate of 38400.

Section 2: Installation Instructions
Version 1.0 6 Intuicom, Inc.
• Confirm operation – Confirm the Intuicom RTK Bridge-M is correctly configured
and its antennas are connected and within cellular coverage. The main status view in
AgRemote should report that it is receiving RTK corrections.
• A capital R indicates an RTK Fix, a lower case r indicates RTK float. The age is
typically between 1-2 seconds. The Q% should climb as the receiver is getting more
packets.
You have now demonstrated that the 252/262/372 is receiving corrections and fixing
position. This confirmation of Fixed RTK operation can also be visualized by a solid
GREEN LED on the roof-mounted 252/262/372 (opposite the Ports location).

2.2 Sending GPS Position to the Intuicom RTK Bridge X from the
Trimble
®
252/262/372
It may be desired to send the corrected position of the receiver to the network in order to view
the position quality on the network. The RTK Bridge-X can be configured to accept a GGA
position on the serial port and use that position to send to the network. To be able to send the
GGA position from the receiver:
2.2.1 RTK Brid e–X setup
• The RTK Bridge-X must be configured to receive the GPS position from the data
port. In the Profiles page, in the profile that is to be used, under GPS Source, select
Serial. The RTK Bridge-X is now ready to receive the GPS position from the Ag
252/262/372.
2.2.2 252/262/372 setup
• There are several settings that must be configured on the 252/262/372 to send the
GGA string to the RTK Bridge–X.
o Navigate to the Port C Configuration page in Ag Remote.
o Scroll down to Port C Out:
o Set to On

Section 2: Installation Instructions
Version 1.0 8 Intuicom, Inc.
o Scroll down to the page where the Input was configured before
Set the O (output) to NMEA with a Baud Rate of 38k4
o Scroll down to the NMEA1 screen
Enable the GGA string (CAPS is enabled)
• Configuration is now complete. You should be sending GPS/GNSS positioning data
from the Trimble 252/262/372 to the Intuicom RTK Bridge–X.
