Overview
The Raven Phoenix 300 is typically configured to accept CMR or RTCM format RTK
corrections from an Intuicom RTK Bridge
®
-X which in turn has been configured to connect to a
GPS/GNSS reference network. The intended audience for this document is a dealer or
integrator familiar with the Raven Phoenix 300 and general familiarity with the Intuicom RTK
Bridge–X. The Intuicom RTK Bridge–X User Guide covers the steps necessary for its
configuration.
1 Requirements for Installation
1.1 Required Information
In order to operate an Intuicom RTK Bridge–X, you are required to have the necessary
information to access and log in to the Real-Time Network. This information is entered
into the RTK Bridge–X and stored in a profile. More details on setting up an RTK
Bridge–X is available in the RTK Bridge-X manual.
• IP address,
• TCP port,
• NTRIP mountpoint name,
• username and password for access to the real-time GPS/GNSS network
1.2 Required Equipment
1.2.1 Intuicom Equipment and Accessories
1. Intuicom RTK Bridge–X with activated data provider account (Verizon, AT&T, etc…)
2. Intuicom RTK Bridge–X to DB-9 data/power cable:
[P/N: XRTKCAB-EZ]
3. Null Modem Adaptor (M-M)
4. Intuicom RTK Bridge–X Cellular/GPS antenna/cable:
[P/N: FIP4-MMDM-MM (magnetic mount)]

Below is the installation Diagram for the recommended installation of the Intuicom RTK
Bridge–X utilizing the equipment noted above.

2.1 Configuration
• Configure the Intuicom RTK Bridge–X to connect to GPS/GNSS Reference network
and obtain CMR/CMR+ or RTCM correction data stream from an appropriate single
reference station, such as a VRS.
• Configure the resulting RTK correction data to be output at a known baud rate (a
baud rate of 38400 is recommended).
• Confirm GPS and cellular antenna (typically a combined antenna with two coaxial
cables with TNC connectors) are connected and placed where they have good sky
view and good cellular signal.

• Using the Intuicom RTK Bridge-X to Phoenix 300 data/power cable and the null
modem adapter, connect the RTK Bridge-X serial port to the B Port on the Phoenix
300 wiring harness.
• Connect the SAE power connector to the supplied DC power adapter which is
connected to Battery power.
• The RTK Bridge-X should be configured to receive the GPS position from the data
port. In the Profiles page, in the profile that is to be used, under GPS Source, select
Serial. The RTK Bridge-X is now ready to receive the GPS position from the
Phoenix 300.
2.2 Configuring the Raven Phoenix 300
A map of the Raven Phoenix 300 menu structure follows these instructions for reference.
• After unlocking RTK in the Raven Phoenix 300, navigate to the Correction Mode
screen in the Correction Config Menu.
o Press ← and use ↑ or ↓ keys to set the correction mode to RTK. When the
correction mode is set to RTK, the RTK display and configuration menus will
be available in the Phoenix 300 menu.
• To access the RTK configuration screens from the receiver Home display screen,
press the ← or → buttons until the RTK Config screen is displayed
• Press ↓ to view the RTK Format screen
o The RTK format screen displays the current format for receiving RTK
corrections from the assigned base station.
• Press ← and use the ↓ and ↑ keys to select the correction type that corresponds to the
correction you are receiving from the network
• Press ↓ to view the RTK Network screen
• The RTK Network screen displays the current RTK Network used to transmit RTK
correction messages. Press the ← and use the ↑ or ↓ keys to select a VRS or iMax
(depending on which setting matches the network technology)

• Press ↓ to view the Port B Baud Rate screen. Press ← and use the ↑ and ↓ keys to set
the baud rate to match the Baud Rate of the RTK Bridge-X. (38,400 is
recommended)
• Return to the Home Display screen, then navigate to the Output Config screen and
verify the Port B Baud Rate matches what is set in the Intuicom RTK Bridge-X
(38400 recommended)
• Set the GGA message to output at an Interval of 001.00
Once this has been completed, you should be able to verify the Raven Phoenix 300 is
receiving RTK corrections from the Intuicom RTK Bridge-X by the following:
• System Ok on the screen
• Letter ”R” in front of the 3, this confirms an RTK fixed position.
