SAFETY MEASURES
For safety reasons, please read these Instructions for Use attentively before putting the unit into ope-
ration. Those who do not acquaint themselves with these Instructions for Use should not put the unit
into operation. You must bear in mind that Ionic-CARE is a high-voltage device and, like in electrical
hot-air heaters, some of its parts are open (to ensure ventilation) and conductive objects can be inserted
in them. To allow proper ventilation, the vents may not be covered, excessive dust deposition inside
the unit must be prevented, and the unit may not be placed near ammable objects.
• Important information: The safety instructions given in these Instructions for Use should always be followed when
using this unit or any other electrical appliance. By reading of and complying with the below given warnings, you will
reduce the risk of an electrical accident or re.

• In the interests of lowering the risk of an electrical accident, do not try to maintain the unit in any other way than
described in section Cleaning and Maintenance.
• Do not use the unit outdoors.
• Do not use the unit in damp environment (e.g. in abathroom); relative humidity should not exceed 60 %.
• Do not use the unit in the vicinity of replaces or in areas where ammable materials, ammable dust or vapours can
occur. The air is ionized by microscopic electrical sparking (corona discharge) which can set ammable materials easily
(just as an electric drill, blender, or vacuum cleaner).
• Ensure that the unit works with correct voltage and power rate 220–240 V/ 50 Hz.
• To reduce the risk of an electrical accident, the unit has aplug with earthing. The plug has athird earthing connector.
The plug can be used only in combination with asocket provided with earthing. In case of an atypical socket, please
contact the appropriate service centre and ask them to install acorrect socket. Do not adjust the plug in any way!
• Before you disconnect the plug from the socket, always switch the unit o.
• Before you clean the stainless lter, always switch the unit o and unplug it from the socket.
• If the unit is not to be used for alonger time, disconnect it from the electric network.
• Never touch the inner parts of the unit like electrodes, ionizing wires etc. by any object.
• Any attempt to disassemble the unit will result in loss of the warranty and can cause severe injury to the user or severe
damage of the unit.

IMPORTANT PRECAUTIONS
Before you start using the purier, please read the following important precautions and look at the
drawings of the main unit parts.
• When you take the unit from cold environment, let it stand unpacked at room temperature for sucient period of time
(approx. 5 hours). Otherwise water vapours can condense on cool parts and after the unit is switched on, short-circuit
may cause the unit damage, destruction, and even re.
• If the unit does not work as it should, if it was damaged mechanically or due to a fall, if it was left outdoors, or came into
contact with water (except washing the stainless parts of the lter), do not switch the unit on and contact the service
centre (see section Contacts).
• The unit belongs to the group of appliance with a Y-type connection. If the supply cable is damaged, it must be replaced by the
manufacturer, his service centre (see section Contacts), or a similarly qualied person to prevent occurrence of dangerous situation.
• Do not place the unit near open re and replaces, even those that are not actually in use. Dust from the chimney and
soot can circulate through the purier and can settle both in the unit and the room. The unit placement near lighted
candles, paran lamp etc. is not recommended. If you intend using candles and paran lamps near the unit despite of
this warning, ensure that the wick length does not exceed 6 mm to reduce the smoke production.
Figure A shows the stainless lter which is a key part of the air purier and ioniser. If the unit is run-
ning, the stainless lter catches dust, pollutants, allergens and irritants, and neutralizes smells. The air
purier is designed to make no noise and requires very little time and eort for maintenance. If you
hear any noise or sounds coming from the unit, it is a general sign that the unit needs cleaning. Switch
the unit o, unplug it from the socket and follow the section Cleaning and Maintenance. If the unit still
makes noise after the stainless lter is cleaned, dried thoroughly and reinserted, switch the unit o and
unplug it from the socket. Pull the mechanism for the ionizing wires cleaning out of and into the unit
3-4 times (Figure B). This movement helps to remove impurities from the inner ionizing wires. To keep
the purier in a properly functioning condition, the stainless lter and ionizing wires must be cleaned
every 4-7 days of the unit use at least (for the procedure see in section Cleaning and Maintenance).
WARNING!!!
After the stainless lter is cleaned by a common detergent (abrasives-free) and water, let it dry
thoroughly in vertical position for 24 hours before you reinsert it in the unit. Water may remain
at many places (e.g. on the stainless lter bends) and could cause the unit damage. If the stain-
less lter is damp, do not insert it in the unit. The purier must be cleaned more frequently if it
is exposed to strong pollution.

SPECIAL PRECAUTIONS
Before you switch the unit, always check undamaged state of the ionizing wires in the unit. If they are
broken (not intact), do not switch the unit on! Short-circuit and even re could occur. You will nd two
40-cm long ionizing wires inside the unit about 3.5 cm behind the protective grid (at the sight from the
side). The wires are located on the side where there is the mechanism for their cleaning and go down
from the top to the unit bottom.
If you nd that the ionizing wire in your Ionic-CARE TRITON X6 is broken,
please contact our service centre (see section Contacts).
In case of your longer absence, please switch the unit o and unplug the cable from the electric network
(socket). Like in other electrical appliances, peak voltage in the electrical network (caused e.g. by a
lightning) can damage the unit and even cause re.
PREPARING FOR THE UNIT START
The unit can be in operation 24 hours daily at the temperature of 10-40oC and humidity 15–60 %.
Place the unit on hard at surface at least 0.5 m far from objects that could prevent easy air drawing and
circulation (e.g. ying curtains and drapes, doors, pets moving etc.). The placement should also ensure
that the unit will not fall. To reach the optimum eciency of air purication, the unit should be placed
so that its exhaust was not directed against the spontaneous air circulation but on the contrary, so that
it used it. Place the unit as far as possible from windows or any other source of draught and from warm
radiators. No metal object (like a radiator) should be placed immediately in front of the purier; the
released negative ions would otherwise be discharged straight away. Please comply with the warnings
described in section Safety Measures. Plug the unit in an earthed socked 220–240 V / 50 Hz and switch it on.

Indication – if the red warning light lights up, it signals one of the following potential problems:
• Voltage variation in the electric network – restart the unit
• Excessively polluted lter which is no more able to capture impurities – clean the stainless lter
• Disorder; the unit does not work correctly – contact the service centre
Useful tip: In general, the mode is most economical and best for small rooms.
The mode delivers maximum power and is good for great rooms.
Note: If the unit is plugged in the socket, it consumes electrical energy of approximately 0.080 kWh/day, i.e. about CZK 15/month, even if it is
switched o. In case of your long-term absence, the unit unplugging from the electric network is recommended.
OPERATION
Set the air inlet in a way described in section Preparing for the Unit Start. Press the main switch to start the
unit operation. The unit will purify, ionize, and circulate the air automatically according to a pre-programmed
cycle. Select the required power level by repeated pressing of the main switch button. The setting switches
cyclically between (full power), (medium power), (low power) and switched o. LED indicators
will light according to the power set by you.
The stainless lter of the air purier and the ionizing wires must be cleaned every 4-7 days of use at
least (for the complete procedure, see section Cleaning and Maintenance). After thorough drying of
the stainless lter, its insertion in the unit, and cleaning of ionizing wires, the unit should operate again
without any problems. If not, proceed according to section Problems Solving.

CLEANING AND MAINTENANCE
To run reliably, Ionic-CARE TRITON X6 must be cleaned regularly. Impurities are caught mainly on the
surface of the electrostatic lter (collecting sheets) but also, though in a lesser extent, on the ionizing
wires that form an important part of the air purifying system. The greater layer of impurities is caught
on the lter, the lesser is the eectiveness of cleaning. The unit will keep common functionality only
when the dust-catching collector and the ionizing wires are cleaned regularly. The cleaning interval
depends of the pollution of environment and the set unit power and therefore, it is quite individual. The
recommended cleaning interval is every 4-7 days. Use of the air purier near candles, paran lamps,
replace soot etc. is not recommended and will require the stainless lter cleaning after each air purier
exposure to such environment (see section Important Precautions).
Attention!! Do not forget to clean the unit every 4-7 days and at any time the red indicator lights
up (pollution / unit error). Noisy operation of the unit (audible hissing sound) indicates that the
purier needs complete cleaning.
Before you start the unit cleaning, ensure that you have read all important precautions and cleaning
procedures in the sections Safety Measures, Important Precautions, and Cleaning and Maintenance of
these Instructions for Use.
STAINLESS FILTER INSERTION AND REMOVAL
Before you clean the lter, remove it by pressing the lter lock (Figure 2B) against its handle (Figure 2A).
Keep holding the lock and remove the lter from the unit upwards (Figure 3). The stainless lter is rein-
serted into the unit by careful pulling into the unit and pressing that results in the lock closing (clicking),
which prevents any unintended lter removal.
Do not forget!! When removing the stainless lter, put your ngers at places shown in Figure 1. The lock
(Figure 2B) that must be pressed with force occurs there.

8
STAINLESS FILTER CLEANING
Switch the unit o, unplug it from the electrical network and let it stay for about 1 minute to discharge
the static electricity. Press and hold the lock preventing unintended removal of the stainless lter (in
the bottom part of the lter handle) and then remove the lter slowly from the unit body. Wipe o all
impurities caught on all collecting lter sheets by a damp cloth, or wash them under running water.
Always use a cloth or sponge with soft surface and non-abrasive detergents to avoid scratching of the
polished lter surface. Do not therefore use scourers, liquid cleansing powders, pastes and creams,
rough side of foamed plastic sponges etc.
Note: If you scratch the lter surface despite of our advice, the unit air purifying and ionizing function
will not be impaired. At the most, scratching may make future lter cleaning more dicult. If you use
damp cloth for the stainless lter cleaning, the lter may be completely dry within 2 to 3 hours. Always
let the stainless lter dry thoroughly in vertical position before you reinsert it in the unit.
If you used some detergent and water to clean the stainless lter, let it dry for 24 hours at least and
before you reinsert it in the unit, ensure that it is dried thoroughly. Before you reinsert the stainless
lter in the unit, check undamaged state of all ionizing wires in the unit.
Important!!!
To prevent the unit damage, ensure that the collecting sheets of the stainless lter are absolu-
tely dry and do not contain any humidity.
IONIZING WIRES CLEANING
The inner ionizing wires must be cleaned every 4-7 days of the air purier use. For this purpose, the me-
chanism for ionizing wires cleaning is used. Ceramic beads wired on the wires serve for more thorough
removal of impurities. Remove impurities caught on the wires by moving the mechanism upwards and
downwards The movement must be performed 3-4 times to ensure sucient eciency of cleaning.
Do not forget to put the mechanism for the ionizing wires cleaning in its initial position before
you switch on the unit; the unit otherwise cannot be switched on!

9
OUTER SURFACES CLEANING
During the unit use, some impurities may also be caught on
the outer surface of the air purier, especially on the ribbed
openings. Use the enclosed pencil or a damp cloth.
Before you start cleaning, ensure that the unit is unplugged
from the electrical network. If you use a damp cloth, you must
prevent any water leaking into the unit, which could damage
the unit functions or cause the user’s injury. Before you put
the purier into operation, let it dry for at least 24 hours.
Clean the unit as needed.

FAQ
• What is the best placement of the purier in a room?
About 50 cm of free space should be around the purier to allow proper air circulation. The puried
air is released by the front part of the unit. Its part with the controlling panel should therefore face
the room. No metal object (like a radiator) should be placed immediately in front of the purier; the
released negative ions would otherwise be discharged straight away.
• How long should the unit be switched on?
The air purier Ionic-CARE Triton X6 needs 3 hours at least to purify one medium-sized room. The
eect of the space purication then lasts for 3 hours after the unit is switched o. Regarding the unit
parameters (minimum energy consumption, noiseless operation), it is recommended to use the purier
continuously, i.e. 24 hours daily, 7 days in a week. See that the selected purier power corresponds to
the area of the room where the unit is used.
• Is one purier enough for one at?
You can use one unit if you let the doors between rooms open and air thus can circulate freely. If rooms
in the at are not interconnected, the purier should be placed in a room where most people are during
the day. At night, place the unit to the bedroom or children’s room, or buy more units.
• Can the unit be placed within the reach of children and animals?
If children can reach the unit, they can knock it over, put various objects through the ribs etc., which
could endanger both them and the proper operation of the purier. Animals can also knock the unit
over or wet it. The purier should therefore be placed out of reach of both children and animals, e.g.
on a cabinet or table.
• Can I use the ioniser near an electronic nanny or cardiac pacemaker?
Electronic nannies work with higher frequencies while the cardiac pacemakers with lower frequencies
than the unit. They cannot therefore interfere with each other.
• Can I disassembly the unit and clean the inner part of it?
No intervention in the unit is recommended because even after it is disconnected from the electrical
network, high voltage still persists there and an electrical accident can occur. Moreover, warranty will
be cancelled by an intervention in the unit. Therefore, please contact our technical department In case
of any problem.
• Where is it not suitable to use the purier?
Placement of the unit near greater number of candles or open re (e.g. replace) is not recommended,
especially if coal is used. The captured soot can, contrary to other impurities, release and deposit on
objects near the purier. Do not use the unit in damp environment (e.g. in a bathroom); relative humi-
dity should not exceed 60 %.
• What is the life of Ionic-CARE?
If the unit is handled in accordance with the Instructions for Use, its life is absolutely unlimited.
• Ozone
Ozone is a natural part of air, i.e. also of air we breathe outdoors. It is dangerous for human health in very
high concentrations only. All air puriers with embedded ioniser do produce ozone. The air puriers
Ionic-Care Triton X6 are designed to produce as least ozone as possible. They are continuously tested in
accredited laboratories and at the State Health Institute in Prague. Independent tests have proved that
ozone production is highly below the limit and guarantee 100% safety of the air puriers Ionic-CARE.
Hygienic limit for ozone production: 0.05 ppm
Ozone production by Ionic-CARE Triton X6: 0.005 ppm
