INTRODUCTION
This document contains information and safety regulations which are to be observed without
fail for safe operation of the device IS-TH1xx.1 (Model MTHA10 / MTHA11) under the
described conditions. Non-observance of this information and instructions can have serious
consequences and / or may violate regulations.
Please read the manual and these safety instructions before using the device. In case of any
doubt, the German version shall apply.
The current EU-declaration of conformity, certicates, safety instructions and manuals can be

NAME CONCEPT
The two “xx” in IS-TH1xx.1 are placeholders. The IS-TH1xx.1 comes in two variants with
dierent scan ranges and scan engines:

FAULTS AND DAMAGES
If there is any reason to suspect that the safety of the device has been compromised, it must
be withdrawn from use and removed from any ex-hazardous areas immediately.
Measures must be taken to prevent any accidental restarting of the device. The safety of the
device may be compromised, if, for example:
Malfunctions occur.
The housing of the device shows damage.
The device has been subjected to excessive loads.
The device has been stored improperly.
Markings or labels on the device are illegible.
We recommend that a device displaying errors or in which an error is suspected be sent back
to i.safe MOBILE GmbH to be checked.
EX-RELEVANT SAFETY REGULATIONS
Use of this device assumes that the operator observes the conventional safety regulations and
has read and understood manual, safety instructions and certicate.
When used in ex-hazardous areas, the following safety regulations must also be complied
with:
The device may be connected only outside ex-hazardous areas to the IS530.1 via the ISM
interface.
To ensure the IP-protection, it has to be ensured that all gaskets are present and functional.
There must be no large gap between the halves of housing.
The device must be securely fastened to the ISM interface when used in ex-hazardous areas.
The device may not be exposed to any aggressive acids or alkalis.
The device may only be used in zones 1/21 and 2/22 .
Only accessories approved by i.safe MOBILE GmbH may be used.
EX-RELEVANT SAFETY REGULATIONS FOR NORTH AMERICA
Conditions of Acceptability:
The Barcode Scanner IS-TH1xx.1 must be protected from impacts with high impact energy,
against excessive UV light emission and high electrostatic charge processes.
The 13-Pin connector of the IS-TH1xx.1 may only be assembled or disassembled from the ISM
interface outside hazardous areas.
The 2 pin charging contacts of the IS-TH1xx.1 should only be used in non-hazardous locations.

Unauthorized repair is not allowed.
Apparatus is for use in pollution degree 2 or better.
Only designated charger may be connected to the charging contacts.
Not suitable for hazardous locations when enclosure is damaged.
FURTHER SAFETY ADVISES
CAUTION
Laser Light. Do not stare into beam class 2 laser product 630 - 680 nm, 1 mW.
Do not put the device in environments with excessive temperatures.
Do not use the device in areas where regulations or legislatives prohibit the use.
Do not expose the device to strong magnetic elds, such as are emitted from induction ovens
or microwaves.
Do not attempt to open or repair the device. Improper repair or opening can lead to the
destruction of the device, re or explosion. Only authorized personnel are allowed to repair
the device.
Observe all corresponding laws that are in force in the respective countries regarding the use
of devices while operating a vehicle.
Please power o the device before cleaning the device.
Do not use any chemical cleaning agents to clean the device. Use a damp and anti-static soft
cloth for cleaning.
The user alone is responsible for any and all damages and liabilities caused by malware
downloaded when using the network or other data-exchange functions of the device. i.safe
MOBILE GmbH cannot be held responsible for any of those claims.
WARNING
i.safe MOBILE GmbH will not assume any liability for damages caused by disregarding any of
these advices or by any inappropriate use of the device.
MAINTENANCE/REPAIR
Please note any legal requirements for periodic inspection.
The device itself has no user-serviceable parts. It is recommended to perform inspections
according to the safety regulations and advises. If there is a problem with the device, please
contact your vendor or consult the service center. If your device is in need of repair, you can
either contact the service center or your vendor.

INSTALLATION
WARNING
The device may be connected only outside ex-hazardous areas to the IS530.1 via the ISM
interface!
Unscrew the cover of the ISM interface (1) located on the IS530.1.
Push the IS530.1 completely into the holder (2) of the device.
Unscrew the screw (3).
Loosen the plug (4).
Attach the plug on top of the ISM interface (5).
Fix the plug by pressing the rounded end of the plug (6).
Tighten the screw (7).
Check whether the plug is correctly and rmly attached to the ISM interface.
The device can now be used together with the IS530.1 inside ex-hazardous areas.
RECYCLING
The crossed-out wheeled-bin symbol on your product, battery, literature, or packaging
reminds you that all electrical and electronic products, batteries, and accumulators
must be taken to separate collection at the end of their working life. This requirement
applies in the European Union. Do not dispose of these products as unsorted municipal
waste. Always return your used electronic products, batteries, and packaging materials to de-
dicated collection points. This way you help prevent uncontrolled waste disposal and promote
the recycling of materials. More detailed information is available from the product retailer, local
waste authorities, national producer responsibility organisations, or your local i.safe MOBILE
GmbH representative.
Correct Disposal of this product. This marking indicates that this product should not be
dispose other household wastes throughout the EU. To prevent possible harm to the environ-
ment or human he from uncontrolled waste disposal, recycle it responsibly to promote the
sustainable reuse of material resources. To return your used device, please use the return and
collection systems or contact the retailer where the product was purchased. They can take
this product for environmental safe recycling.

BEZEICHNUNGSKONZEPT
Die beiden „xx“ in IS-TH1xx.1 sind Platzhalter. Das Gerät IS-TH1xx.1 gibt es in zwei Varianten
mit unterschiedlichen Scanbereichen und Scanmodulen:

FEHLER UND UNZULÄSSIGE BELASTUNGEN
Sobald zu befürchten ist, dass die Sicherheit des Gerätes beeinträchtigt wurde, muss das
Gerät außer Betrieb genommen und sofort aus explosionsgefährdeten Bereichen entfernt
werden. Die unbeabsichtigte Wiederinbetriebnahme muss verhindert werden. Die Gerätesi-
cherheit kann gefährdet sein, wenn z. B.:
Fehlfunktionen auftreten.
Am Gehäuse des Geräts Beschädigungen erkennbar sind.
Das Gerät übermäßigen Belastungen ausgesetzt wurde.
Das Gerät unsachgemäß gelagert wurde.
Beschriftungen auf dem Gerät nicht mehr lesbar sind.
Wir empfehlen ein Gerät, welches Fehler zeigt, oder bei dem Fehler vermutet werden, zu einer
Überprüfung an die i.safe MOBILE GmbH zurückzusenden.
EX-RELEVANTE SICHERHEITSVORSCHRIFTEN
Die Benutzung des Geräts setzt beim Anwender die Beachtung der üblichen Sicherheitsvor-
schriften und das Lesen der Bedienungsanleitung, der Sicherheitshinweise und des Zertika-
tes voraus, um Fehlbedienungen am Gerät auszuschließen.
Folgende Sicherheitsvorschriften müssen beim Einsatz in explosionsgefährdeten Bereichen
zusätzlich beachtet werden:
Das Gerät darf nur außerhalb von explosionsgefährdeten Bereichen über die ISM Schnittstelle
mit dem IS530.1 verbunden werden!
Um den IP-Schutz zu gewährleisten, ist sicherzustellen, dass alle Dichtungen am Gerät ordnungs-
gemäß vorhanden sind. Zwischen den Gerätehälften darf kein größerer Spalt erkennbar sein.
Das Gerät muss, bei Verwendung in Ex-Bereichen, sicher an dem ISM Interface befestigt sein.
Das Gerät darf keinen aggressiven Säuren oder Basen ausgesetzt werden.
Das Gerät darf nur in die Zonen 1 / 21 eingebracht werden.
Nur von i.safe MOBILE GmbH freigegebenes Zubehör darf verwendet werden.
EX-RELEVANTE SICHERHEITSVORSCHRIFTEN FÜR NORDAMERIKA
Zulassungsbedingungen:
Der Barcodescanner IS-TH1xx.1 muss vor Stößen mit hoher Schlagenergie, vor übermäßiger
UV-Strahlung und hohen elektrostatischen Auadungsprozessen geschützt werden.

Der 13-polige Stecker des IS-TH1xx.1 darf nur außerhalb von explosionsgefährdeten Berei-
chen montiert oder von der ISM-Schnittstelle demontiert werden.
Die 2-poligen Ladekontakte des IS-TH1xx.1 dürfen nur in nicht-explosionsgefährdeten
Bereichen verwendet werden.
Unerlaubte Reparaturen sind nicht erlaubt.
Das Gerät ist für den Einsatz bei Verschmutzungsgrad 2 oder besser geeignet.
An die Ladekontakte darf nur das vorgesehene Ladegerät angeschlossen werden.
Nicht geeignet für explosionsgefährdete Bereiche, wenn das Gehäuse beschädigt ist.
WEITERE SICHERHEITSHINWEISE
VORSICHT
Laserlicht. Nicht in den Laserstrahl blicken, Laser-Klasse 2.
Setzen Sie das Gerät keinen hohen Temperaturen aus.
Benutzen Sie das Gerät nicht an Orten, wo das Benutzen verboten ist.
Setzen Sie das Gerät keinen starken elektrischen Magnetfeldern aus, wie sie z. B. von Indukti-
onsherden oder Mikrowellenöfen ausgehen.
Önen Sie das Gerät nicht selbst und führen Sie auch keine Reparaturen selbst durch.
Unsachgemäße Reparaturen können zur Zerstörung des Geräts, zu Feuer oder zu einer
Explosion führen. Das Gerät darf nur von autorisierten Fachleuten repariert werden.
Achten Sie bei der Verwendung des Geräts während der Steuerung eines Kraftfahrzeuges
auf die entsprechenden Landesgesetze.
Schalten Sie das Gerät aus, bevor Sie das Gerät reinigen.
Benutzen Sie keine chemischen Mittel zum Reinigen des Geräts.
Reinigen Sie das Gerät mit einem weichen, angefeuchteten antistatischen Stotuch.
Für Schäden durch Computerviren, die beim Gebrauch der Internetfunktionen herunterge-
laden werden, ist der Benutzer selbst verantwortlich. Ein Regressanspruch gegenüber der
i.safe MOBILE GmbH besteht nicht.
WARNUNG
Die i.safe MOBILE GmbH übernimmt keine Haftung für Schäden, die durch Nichtbeachtung
dieser Hinweise oder unsachgemäßen Gebrauch des Geräts entstehen.
WARTUNG/REPARATUR
Beachten Sie eventuell gültige gesetzliche Richtlinien zu wiederkehrenden Prüfungen, wie
z. B. die Betriebssicherheitsverordnung!
Das Gerät selbst besitzt keine zu wartenden Teile. Es wird empfohlen, eine Überprüfung
anhand der Kriterien in den Sicherheitsvorschriften und Sicherheitshinweisen durchzuführen.
Bedarf ihr Gerät einer Repartur, wenden Sie sich bitte an ein autorisiertes Service Center
oder Ihren Verkäufer. Reparaturen dürfen nur durch i.safe MOBILE GmbH oder autorisierte
Service Center durchgeführt werden, da ansonsten die Sicherheit des Gerätes nicht mehr
gewährleistet ist.

INSTALLATION
WARNUNG
Das Gerät darf nur außerhalb von explosionsgefährdeten Bereichen über die ISM Schnittstelle
mit dem IS530.1 verbunden werden!
Am IS530.1 die Abdeckung der ISM Schnittstelle (1) abschrauben.
Das IS530.1 vollständig in die Halterung (2) des Geräts einschieben.
Die Schraube (3) am Stecker aufschrauben.
Den Stecker (4) von der Halterung lösen.
Den Stecker an der ISM Schnittstelle (5) oben ansetzen.
Durch Drücken auf das abgerundete Ende (6) den Stecker xieren.
Die Schraube (7) festschrauben.
Prüfen, ob der Stecker korrekt und fest auf der ISM Schnittstelle befestigt ist.
Das Gerät kann nun zusammen mit dem verbundenen IS530.1 in explosionsgefährdeten
Bereichen verwendet werden.
WIEDERVERWERTUNG
Das Symbol der durchgestrichenen Abfalltonne auf Rädern, das auf dem Produkt,
auf der Batterie, in der Dokumentation oder auf dem Verpackungsmaterial zu nden
ist, bedeutet, dass elektrische und elektronische Produkte sowie Batterien am Ende
ihrer Lebensdauer einer getrennten Müllsammlung zugeführt werden müssen.
Diese Vorschriften gelten in der Europäischen Union. Entsorgen Sie diese Produkte nicht
über den unsortierten Hausmüll. Entsorgen Sie gebrauchte elektronische Produkte, Batterien
und Verpackungsmaterial stets bei den entsprechenden Sammelstellen. Sie beugen so der
unkontrollierten Müllbeseitigung vor und fördern die Wiederverwertung von stoichen
Ressourcen. Weitere Informationen erhalten Sie über den Händler, bei dem Sie das Produkt
erworben haben, von regionalen Abfallunternehmen, staatlichen Behörden für die Einhal-
tung der erweiterten Herstellerhaftung oder dem für Ihr Land oder Ihre Region zuständigen

Dva „xx“ v IS-TH1xx.1 jsou zástupné symboly. IS-TH1xx.1 se dodává ve dvou variantách s

BEZPEČNOSTNÍ PŘEDPISY TÝKAJÍCÍ SE NEBEZPEČÍ VÝBUCHU
Používání tohoto zařízení předpokládá, že jeho uživatel bude dodržovat běžné
bezpečnostní předpisy a přečetl si a seznámil se s příručkou, bezpečnostními pokyny

EX-RELEVANTNÍ BEZPEČNOSTNÍ POKYNY PRO SEVERNÍ AMERIKU
Požadavky na přijetí:
Čtečka čárových kódů IS-TH1xx.1 musí být chráněna před nárazy s vysokou energií nárazu,
před nadměrným vyzařováním UV záření a před procesy s vysokým elektrostatickým nábojem.
Třináctipinový konektor IS-TH1xx.1 se smí montovat nebo demontovat z rozhraní ISM pouze
mimo nebezpečné prostory.
Dvoukolíkové nabíjecí kontakty IS-TH1xx.1 se smí používat pouze v místech mimo nebezpečí
výbuchu.
Neautorizované opravy nejsou povoleny.
Přístroj je určen pro použití ve stupni znečištění 2 nebo lepším.
K nabíjecím kontaktům smí být připojena pouze k tomu určená nabíječka.
Není vhodný do nebezpečných prostor, pokud je kryt poškozen.
DALŠÍ BEZPEČNOSTNÍ UPOZORNĚNÍ
UPOZORNĚNÍ
Laserové světlo. Nedívejte se na laserový produkt třídy 2 paprsku 630 - 680 nm, 1 mW.
Nevystavuje zařízení prostředí s nadměrnými teplotami.
Nepoužívejte zařízení na místech, ve kterých je jeho užívání zakázáno.
Nevystavujte zařízení působení silných elektromagnetických polí, která např. vydávají
indukční sporáky nebo mikrovlnné trouby.
Zařízení sami neotevírejte aani na něm sami neprovádějte žádné opravy. Neodborné opravy
mohou vést ke zničení zařízení, ke vznícení nebo výbuchu. Zařízení smí opravovat pouze
autorizovaní odborníci.
Při používání zařízení během řízení vozidel dodržujte příslušné zákony platné vdané zemi.
Než budete zařízení čistit, vypněte jej aodpojte nabíjecí kabel.
Kčištění zařízení nepoužívejte žádné chemické prostředky. Čistěte zařízení měkkým, navl-
hčeným antistatickým látkovým hadříkem.
Za jakékoli škody a povinnosti způsobené a vyplývající ze stažení škodlivého softwaru
při používání síťových nebo jiných funkcí zařízení určených pro výměnu dat zodpovídá

ÚDRŽBA A OPRAVY
Dodržujte případné platné právní předpisy kopakovaným zkouškám, jako např. předpisy

Zařízení neobsahuje žádné součásti, které by uživatel mohl opravit svépomocí. Doporučuje se
provádět kontroly v souladu s bezpečnostními předpisy a pokyny. Pokud se u zařízení vyskytl
problém, obraťte se na prodejce nebo se poraďte se servisním střediskem. Vyžaduje-li vaše
zařízení opravu, můžete se obrátit na servisní středisko nebo na prodejce.

INSTALACE
VAROVÁNÍ
Zařízení lze připojit k IS530.1 pouze mimo prostředí s nebezpečím výbuchu přes rozhraní ISM!
Odšroubujte kryt rozhraní ISM (1) umístěný na IS530.1.
Zasuňte IS530.1 úplně do držáku (2) zařízení.
Vyšroubujte šroub (3).
Uvolněte zástrčku (4).
Připojte zástrčku na horní stranu rozhraní ISM (5).
Upevněte zátku stisknutím zaobleného konce zátky (6).
Utáhněte šroub (7).
Zkontrolujte, zda je zástrčka správně a pevně připojena k rozhraní ISM.
Zařízení lze nyní používat společně s IS530.1 v prostředích s nebezpečím výbuchu.
RECYKLACE
Symbol přeškrtnutého odpadkového koše na zařízení, baterii, příručce nebo obalu
připomíná, že všechny elektrické produkty, baterie a akumulátory je nutné na konci
životnosti likvidovat jako tříděný odpad. Toto nařízení platí v Evropské unii. Nevy-

EXPLOSIÓN
El uso de este dispositivo implica que el usuario respete las normas convencionales de
seguridad y lea y comprenda la guía, las instrucciones de seguridad y el certicado. Así mismo,
deberán cumplirse las siguientes normas de seguridad:

Para garantizar la protección IP debe asegurarse de que todas las juntas del dispositivo estén
dispuestas correctamente. Entre las dos mitades del dispositivo no debe quedar ninguna
rendija reconocible.
Cuando se utiliza en áreas Ex, el dispositivo debe estar conectado de forma segura a la interfaz
ISM.
El dispositivo no debe exponerse a bases ni ácidos corrosivos.
El dispositivo solo puede ser colocado en zonas 1,2,21 o 22.
Solo deben utilizarse accesorios autorizados por i.safe MOBILE GmbH.
NORMAS DE SEGURIDAD EN MATERIA DE PROTECCIÓN CONTRA
EXPLOSIÓN PARA AMÉRICA DEL NORTE
Requisitos de admisión:
El escáner de códigos de barras IS-TH1xx.1 debe protegerse de los impactos con alta energía de
choque, de la emisión excesiva de luz ultravioleta y de los procesos de alta carga electrostática.
El conector de 13 pines del IS-TH1xx.1 sólo puede montarse o desmontarse de la interfaz ISM
fuera de las zonas peligrosas.
Los contactos de carga de 2 pines del IS-TH1xx.1 sólo deben utilizarse en lugares no peligro-
sos.
No se permite la reparación no autorizada.
El aparato es para uso en grado de contaminación 2 o superior.
Sólo se puede conectar el cargador designado a los contactos de carga.
No es apto para lugares peligrosos si la carcasa está dañada.

PRECAUCIÓN
Luz laser. No mire directamente al rayo láser, clase de láser 2, 630 - 680 nm, 1 mW.
No introduzca el dispositivo en entornos con temperaturas extremas.

Desatornille la tapa de la interfaz ISM (1) en el IS530.1.
Empuje el IS530.1 completamente en el soporte (2) del dispositivo.
Destornille el tornillo (3) del conector.
Aoje el tapón (4) del soporte.
Conecte el enchufe a la interfaz ISM (5) en la parte superior.
Fije el conector presionando en el extremo redondeado (6).
Apriete el tornillo (7).
Compruebe si el conector está conectado correcta y rmemente a la interfaz ISM.
