Stay away of the discharge opening of the mower
deck because stones or other hard objects ejected
from the mower may hit you.

Shut off the engine and remove the starter key
before performing maintenance or repair work.

b. Move the dump lever(6) downward or push the dump
switch (LAE-type) to dump the collector.
c. Stop the engine.
d. Pull up the cleaning lever(4) and remove the clogged
grass(8) in the chute(3).
e. Depress the Bottom plate, (9) downward and remove
the clogged grass in the front portion of chute.
Danger:
• Stop the engine before removing the clogged grass in
chute and mower deck.
f. Scrape out the remaining grass with the cleaning
stick,(7).
5. EMERGENCY STOP
• When any of the following abnormalities is
encountered, stop the lawn mower and mower deck
immediately.
- Abnormal noise
- Abnormal vibration
- Abnormal smell
- Blade hitting an obstacle
- The lawn mower hitting an obstacle
• The cause of trouble should be located and corrected
immediately. If not, consult your dealer. Never attempt
to keep on operating the lawn mower without locating
and correcting the cause of trouble.
• When the operator leaves the seat, the safety system
automatically stops the engine. When leaving the lawn
mower to remove obstacies such as twigs, pebbles,
etc., the PTO lever must be shifted to the OFF position
and the parking brake applied.

f. Remove the 4 bolts (6) which hold the collector frame
on the machine, then remove the collector frame.

ASSIST CYLINDER
Attach the collector in reverse order of detaching
Important:
Be sure to keep the removed parts.
3. DETACHING THE LOW DUMP COLLECTOR WITH
MANUAL DUMP
a. Pull up the dump lever (3) to release the lock of lock
plate (4) and fix the container (1) with stopper plate (5)
halfway.
b. Take the handle (2) of container (1), then remove the
container (1) by lifting the rear end first.
Warning:
When attaching or detaching the collector to the lawn
mower:
•Place the lawn mower on level, hard ground.
•Apply the parking brake securely.
•Shift the PTO lever to the STOP ( ) position.
•Do not start the engine.

ASSIST CYLINDER
a. Extend the dump cylinder (2) by pushing the Collector
dump switch (3), then release the lock from the lock
plate (5).
b. Grab the container (1) by the handles (4) and remove
it by lifting the rear end first.
c. Undo the four bolts (9) which hold together the
cleaning plate (8) and pin COMP (10).
d. Remove the cleaning plate (8) from the chute.
e. Unplug the Electric connectors (7) of the collector
from the main harness.

c. Undo the four bolts (10) which hold together the
cleaning plate (6) and pin COMP (7).
d. Remove the cleaning plate (6) from the chute.
e. Unplug the Electric connectors (9) of the collector
from the main harness.

III. COLLECTOR OPERATION
3. INSPECTION BEFORE OPERATION
• Before operating, inspect the points that follow.
(1) Safety switch
a. Be sure to confirm that the engine stops as soon as
operator start the mower or dump container.
Danger:
Safety switch is for stopping the engine forcibly when
container is dumped during blade of mower deck is
rotating.
Never fail to check whether this function works
correctly before every mowing operation.
4. OPERATION OF COLLECTOR WITH ASSIST
CYLINDER

Open: Push the "UP" portion of the container dump
switch.
Close: Push the "DOWN" portion of the container
dump switch.
1. BEFORE OPERATION
Caution:
•Become familiar with how to operate the lawn mower
and understand safety instructions by reading this
manual carefully.
•Make sure that all safety covers and guards are
installed in position.
•Before operating the collector, be sure to confirm that
collector opens and closes smoothly.
2. ADJUSTING THE GRASS LIMIT SENSOR
(1) Adjuster bolt (3) Sensor plate
(2) Adjustment position label (4) Collector frame
a. Filler rate of container is changed with adjusting the
adjuster bolt(1).
b. Check the buzzer of grass limit sensor. Set the starter
switch ON position (Don't start engine) and set the
PTO lever ON. Check that the buzzer sounds when
pushing the sensor plate(3).
Caution:
After checking the buzzer, be sure to turn starter
switch and PTO lever OFF.

III. COLLECTOR OPERATION

Make sure that the grass is fallen out, then
close the container.
Even if the container is closed, keep pushing
the switch until the lock plate (1) is completely
locked by pin (2).
In case there is to much clearance between the
lock plate (1) and pin (2), readjust the nut/M8 (3)
to lower the lock bracket (4).
5. OPERATION OF MANUAL COLLECTOR SBC402X-
LE4F
Open: Raise the dump lever (1) to release the lock
from the lock plate (5).
Open the container by pulling the dump lever (1)
forward.
Close: Make sure that the grass is fallen out, then
close the container by pushing the dump lever
(1) backward.
In case the container can not be closed
smoothly or
In case there is to much clearance between the
lock plate (5), and pin (2), readjust the nut/M8
(3) to lower the lock bracket (4).

VI. TROUBLESHOOTING
