OPERATION & SERVICE MANUAL FOR MOWER DECK
Read this manual thoroughly and carefully
before starting the lawn mower for the first time.
Especially abide by the instruction for safe oper-
ation. If you do not, it may result in bodily
injuries.
If you have consumed intoxicating beverages,
are drowsy from medication, ill, or tired, never
operate the machine.
When you let someone else operate the machine,
instruct this person how to operate the machine
and also advise the reading of this manual.
Never permit the following persons to operate
the machine:
-Persons not properly trained to operate the
machine
-Persons who cannot understand the instructions
mentioned on the caution labels
-Person women
-Children
Local regulations may restrict the age of the
operator.
Keep in mind that the operator or user is respon-
sible for any accident or hazard caused by the
machine to other people or their property.
Never perform operations other than those for
which the machine is designed. Operations the
mower is not designed for may cause damage to
the machine, shorten service life, or in the worst
case lead to a serious accident.
Never attempt unauthorized modification of the
machine as this could be very hazardous.
Take care as rotating one blade can cause other
blades to rotate.
Do not touch rotating blades.
Never step on the mower deck.
Be sure to alert them by signaling before you
make a new move when you are working with
co-workers.
While mowing, always wear substantial shoes
and long trousers. Do not operate the machine
barefoot or while wearing open sandals.
When operating, adjusting, or servicing the
machine, avoid wearing long loose clothes,
accessories or letting long hear hang loose,
which could be caught in rotating parts or on
projections. Be sure to use necessary protective
devices such as a headgear, safety glasses, ear
plugs, gloves, etc.
It is recommended to wear ear protectors such as
ear plugs, earmuffs, etc. But your ears should not
be plugged to the extent that horns of other
machines and call from other persons are inaudi-
ble.
Stop the blades and keep the mower in the trans-
port position when crossing surfaces other than
grass or when transporting it to and from the
area to be mowed.
It is not recommendable to operate the machine
on a slope.
Place the machine on level and hard ground
when servicing the machine or mounting or dis-
mounting the mower.
Stop the engine and remove the engine key when
servicing the machine or mounting or dismount-
ing the mower.
Be sure to apply the hydraulic lift lock without
fail when servicing the mower.
Use proper tools when servicing the machine.
Using makeshift tools may lead to injuries or
poor service, which may result in unexpected
accidents during operation.
CHAPTER 1. FOR SAFE OPERATION

5
CHAPTER 1. FOR SAFE OPERATION
Service the machine in a place sufficiently illu-
minated in order to avoid unexpected accidents.
The engine, muffler, radiator, etc. are very hot
just after operation, so wait until those heated
parts cool down sufficiently to avoid burns.
Avoid high-pressure fluids. Escaping fluid under
pressure can penetrate the skin and cause serious
injury, so keep hands and body away from pin
holes and nozzles ejecting such fluids. Be sure to
consult your dealer about any hydraulic and fuel
injection system trouble.
In any hydraulic fluid is injected accidentally
into the skin, it must be removed within a few
hours by a doctor familiar with this type of
injury.
Keep all nuts, bolts and screws tight to be sure
that the equipment is in safe working condition.
Be sure to reinstall the removed parts in place.
A first aid kit and a fire extinguisher should be
kept in a place always in instant access.
Be sure to wear safety glasses and gloves when
servicing the machine.

OPERATION & SERVICE MANUAL FOR MOWER DECK
2-1. Introduction
The information in this publication describes the
operation, maintenance and assembly of the
Mid-Mount Mower. Every effort has been to
provide correct and concise information to you,
the operator, as available at date of publication.
Your ISEKI Dealer is available, should items in
this manual or details of your machine not be
understood.
This manual is supplied with each machine to
familiarize the operator with proper instructions
needed for operation and maintenance. Studying
and adhering to these instructions will insure
optimum machine performance and longevity. A
machine that is maintained properly and operat-
ed in the intended manner will provide greater
dividends than one that is neglected and/or oper-
ated in a manner other than as intended. Design
and servicing of this machine has been kept as
simple as possible to permit maintenance opera-
tions to be carried out with tools normally avail-
able.
This manual should be thoroughly read and
understood prior to operation of this machine.
Inexperienced operators should study the con-
tents of this publication and receive instructions
from an experienced operator when possible.
Your ISEKI Dealer can assist in areas concern-
ing machine operation and provide details con-
cerning safe operation. It is suggested that this
manual be kept readily accessible, preferably
with the machine, for future reference if ques-
tions or concerns arise. If original manual should
become damaged, consult your ISEKI Dealer in
regards to acquiring a replacement.
Note:
Left-hand and right-hand is determined by the
facing the direction the machine will travel when
in use.
The customer is strongly advised to use an offi-
cial ISEKI Dealer in connection with any service
problems and adjustments that may occur. The
ISEKI Dealer network is specially trained and
equipped for all service work and to advise cus-
tomer on specific applications of the tractor in
local conditions.
Caution:
In some of the illustrations used in this
Operator Instruction Book, panels or guards
may have been removed for clarity. Never oper-
ate the tractor with these panels and guards
removed. If the removal of a shield is necessary
to make a repair, it MUST be replaced before
operation.
Caution:
READ THIS BOOK IN ITS ENTIRETY
PRIOR TO OPERATING MACHINE. Use only
ISEKI parts for repairs and/or replacement.
