BEFORE USING THE SLATE
iskn’s technology works with magnets measuring the position and orientation of The Ring
in real time.
Follow these few basic rules for optimal use:
•Avoid placing The Slate on a metal table or one made
with metal parts.
•Be sure to use only one writing tool at a time.
For best use, keep all other metal objects more than
20cm (7,9“) away from The Slate (smartphones/tablets,
speakers, magnets, computers, etc.).
•Be careful not to leave other iskn drawing tools near
The Slate.
YOU’RE ALMOST THERE
First charge The Slate using your computer (PC or Mac).
CONNECT THE SLATE
to your computer using the micro USB cable.
START OF CHARGING
The side LED is orange pulsing.
DEVICE IS CHARGED
The side LED is orange xed.
Only charge The Slate using the micro USB cable provided
via your PC or Mac.
Do not charge The Slate by plugging it directly into an AC
outlet using an adapter.
You can start using The Slate while charging.

SLIP ON AND CALIBRATE THE RING
1. Squeeze the adapter into a heart shape to insert it into
The Ring.
2. Take your favorite pencil, slide down The Ring to about
3 - 4cm (1,2“) (1,6“) from the tip.
3. Press and hold one of the two buttons of the Slate.
Front Led is solid white.
4. Hold the nib of the pencil at the center of The Slate.
Front LED is solid pink.
Release the button. Repeat this operation each time you
change your drawing tool.
Good to know
The Ring provided in this box is size S.
It can be used on all writing tools with a diameter of
up to 7.3mm (0,3“). For larger diameters, size M is
available (sold separately).

ATTACH A SHEET OF PAPER
Remove a sheet of paper from the sketchbook and place
it on The Slate surface using the markings.
1. Fasten the Clips to the edge of The Slate.
2. Simply press on the back of the Clips to remove them.
Good to know
With the Slate, you can write on a single sheet of
paper or a notebook (up to 7 mm / 0.3’’). Be careful
not to change the position of the sheet during use.All
types of paper are compatible with The Slate. Sheet
dimensions: 148 mm x 210 mm (5.8’’ x 8.3’’).

The pulsing white side LED shows that The Slate is on.
Connect The Slate to
your computer using
the micro USB cable
supplied.
Activate Bluetooth by pressing the ON
button briey.

Open Repaper Studio and follow the instructions.
The solid white side LED
shows that The Slate is
connected (USB).
The solid blue side LED
shows that The Slate is

AVANT D’UTILISER THE SLATE
La technologie iskn fonctionne par magnétisme. Celle-ci mesure la position et
l’orientation de the Ring en temps réel.
Quelques principes sont à respecter pour un
fonctionnement optimal :
•Evitez de positionner The Slate sur une table métallique
ou composée de pièces en métal.
•Veillez à n’utiliser qu’un seul outil d’écriture à la fois.
Pour une utilisation fluide, éloignez tout autre objet
métallique à plus de 20cm de The Slate (smartphones/
tablettes, haut-parleurs, aimants, ordinateurs, ect).
•Veillez à ne pas laisser d’autres outils de dessin iskn
près de The Slate.
VOUS Y ÊTES PRESQUE
Commencez par recharger The Slate à l’aide de votre ordinateur (PC ou Mac).
BRANCHEZ THE SLATE
à votre ordinateur à l’aide du câble micro USB.
DÉBUT DE LA CHARGE
La LED latérale respire en orange.
FIN DE LA CHARGE
La LED latérale est orange xe.
Chargez uniquement The Slate sur votre PC ou Mac
à l’aide du câble micro USB fourni.
Ne chargez pas The Slate en la branchant directement
sur une prise secteur à l’aide d’un adaptateur.
Vous pouvez commencer à utiliser The Slate pendant la
charge.

GLISSEZ ET CALIBREZ THE RING
1. Pliez l’adaptateur en forme de coeur pour l’insérer
dans la bague.
2. Prenez votre crayon favori, glissez The Ring à environ
3-4 cm de la pointe. Veillez à ce que The Ring soit bien
perpendiculaire à votre crayon.
3. Appuyez et maintenez enfoncé l’un des deux boutons
de The Slate. La LED frontale s’allume en blanc.
4. Appuyez la mine sur la zone active de The Slate : la LED
frontale s’allume en rose.
Relâchez le bouton.
Renouvelez cette opération à chaque changement d’outil.
Bon à savoir
The Ring fournie dans cette boîte est de tailleS. Elle
peut se glisser sur tous les outils d’écriture ayant un
diamètre allant jusqu’à 7,3mm.
Pour un diamètre supérieur, la taille M est disponible
(vendue séparément).

FIXEZ UNE FEUILLE DE PAPIER
Retirez une feuille du carnet de dessin et placez-la sur la
surface de The Slate en vous aidant des repères.
1. Fixez les clips sur la tranche de The Slate.
2. Exercez une simple pression sur la partie arrière des
clips pour les retirer.
Bon à savoir
The Slate vous permet d’écrire aussi bien sur
une feuille de papier que sur un carnet de notes
(épaisseur maximum 7mm). Veillez à ne pas modier
la position de la feuille pendant l’utilisation.
Tous les types de papier sont compatibles avec The
Slate. Dimensions de la feuille : 148 mm x 210 mm.

Allumez The Slate en eectuant un appui long sur le bouton
d’allumage.
La LED latérale respirante blanche indique que The Slate
est allumée.
Branchez The Slate à

VOR DER VERWENDUNG VON THE SLATE
Die Technologie von iskn funktioniert mit Magnetismus. Position und Ausrichtung von The
Ring werden in Echtzeit gemessen.
Damit dies optimal funktioniert, sind ein paar Dinge zu
beachten:
•Legen Sie The Slate möglichst nicht auf einen
Metalltisch oder einen Tisch mit Metallbestandteilen.
•Achten Sie darauf immer nur ein Schreibgerät
gleichzeitig zu verwenden. Halten Sie für einen
reibungslosen Gebrauch alle anderen Metallgegenstände
(Smartphones/Tablets, Lautsprecher, Magnete, Computer
usw.) mindestens 20 cm vomThe Slate entfernt.
•Stellen Sie sicher, dass sich keine anderen iskn
Zeichenutensilien in der Nähe von The Slate befinden.
SIE SIND FAST FERTIG
Beginnen Sie damit, The Slate über Ihren Computer (PC oder Mac) aufzuladen.
VERBINDEN SIE THE SLATE
über das Micro USB-Kabel mit Ihrem Computer.
BEGINN DES LADEVORGANGS

THE RING AUFSTECKEN UND KALIBRIEREN
1. Drücken Sie den Adapter zu einer Herzform zusammen
und fügen Sie ihn den Ring ein.
2. Nehmen Sie Ihren bevorzugten Stift und schieben Sie
den The Ring ca. 3 - 4cm von der Spitze entfernt auf.
3. Halten Sie einen der beiden Tasten der Slate gedrückt.
Die Front-LED leuchtet weiß.
4. Setzen Sie die Stiftmine im aktiven Bereich von The
Slate auf: Die Front-LED leuchtet rosa. Lassen Sie dann
die Taste los.
Wiederholen Sie diesen Vorgang bei jedem Wechsel des
Zeicheninstruments.
Gut zu wissen
Der mitgelieferte The Ring der Größe S kann auf allen
Schreibgeräten mit einem Durchmesser von bis zu
7,3mm angebracht werden. Für Schreibgeräte mit
größerem Durchmesser ist Größe M geeignet (separat
erhältlich).

EIN BLATT PAPIER BEFESTIGEN
Entnehmen Sie ein Blatt Papier aus dem Skizzenbuch und
platzieren Sie es mithilfe der Markierungen auf der The
Slate Oberäche.
1. Befestigen Sie die Clips an den Seitenrändern von The
Slate
2. Drücken Sie leicht auf den hinteren Teil der Clips, um
diese zu entfernen.
Gut zu wissen
The Slate ermöglicht es Ihnen, sowohl auf
einem einfachen Blatt Papier als auch auf einem
Skizzenbuch (max. 7mm) zu schreiben.
Achten Sie darauf, die Position des Papiers während
der Nutzung nicht zu verändern. Alle Papiersorten
sind mit The Slate kompatibel. Papierabmessungen:
148 x 210mm.
