Electrical safely
The wires in the mains lead are coloured in accordance with the following code:
BLUE: NEUTRAL (N)
BROWN: LIVE (L)
Class2Conguration
As the colours of the wires in the mains lead of this appliance may not correspond with the
coloured markings identifying the terminals in your plug, proceed as follows:
• ThewirewhichiscolouredBLUE(orcolouredBLACK)mustbeconnectedtothe
NEUTRAL terminal which is marked with the letter “N”.
• ThewirewhichiscolouredBROWN(orcolouredRED)mustbeconnectedtothe
LIVE terminal which is marked with the letter “L”
AlwaysensurethattheMainsCordisxedintotheplugthroughtheCordGuardorCable
Clamp, (plug wiring diagram above), and that the Cord Guard screws are tightened to clamp
the cord (outer sheath and inner coloured wires) into position in the plug. Make sure that the
plugtopisalsottedsecurely.
This appliance must be protected by a 3 Amp fuse in a 13 Amp type (BS1363) plug. Should you
need to replace the fuse, use only a 3 Amp ASTA approved BS1362 fuse (3A).

Before use your player
Choose unit installation location carefully.Avoid placing it in direct sunlight or close to a source
of heat.Also avoid locations subject to vibrations and excessive dust, cold or moisture.
Do not open the cabinet as this might result in damage to the circuitry or electrical shock, if a
foreign object should get into the set, contact your dealer.

When removing the power plug from the wall outlet, always pull directly on the plug, never pull
the cord.
To keep the laser pickup clean use a laser cleaning disc these can be obtained from most good

To shut off the power to this product completely, switch off and unplug from the wall socket.
Be sure to unplug the unit if you do not intend to use it for an extended period of time, such as
a vacation.

Keep this manual in a safe place for future reference.
Beware of Condensation
When the player (or a compact disc) is moved from a cold to a warm place or is used after a
sudden temperature change, there is a danger of condensation.Water vapor in the air could
condense on the mechanism or the laser pickup. If droplets of water form on these parts, cor-
rect playback will be impossible because the laser cannot read the information from the disc
correctly.To prevent this, if you are going to use the player in a condition where condensation
could occur, you should leave the player for 1 or 2 hours after plugging it into an AC outlet
depending on the amount of condensation.
If this is done, the player will stabilise at the temperature of its surroundings.
The silver screw protects the
record player chassis during transportation. by

How to use your player
Preparation for Use to the mains
Connect the AC power cord to the mains.
How to Replace the Stylus
Removing old stylus
Set a screwdriver at the tip of the stylus
and push down to the direction "A".
Remove the stylus by pulling it down and
forward.
Installing a new stylus.
Hold the tip of the stylus and insert the
other edge by pressing in the direction "B".
Push up in the direction "C" until it locks at
the tip.
Basic Operation.
Power on. Connect the power plug into the
wall socket and switch on.
To Select the source press button (2)
(CD,Record player or Radio.
Rotate the VOLUME knob (3)clockwise
turn the radio on and adjust to desired
sound level.
Listening through
Earphones/Headphones (4)
(not included). (excessive sound
levels can damage hearing when
using earphones)
Listening to a Record
Press the FUNCTION Button to select PHONO
function.(1 )
The PHONO indicator will light up
and hold steady.
Select player speed.(2)
Put a record onto the turntable (use the 45 rpm
adaptor provided when playing a single record).
Pull the TONE ARM by hand over the record and
slowly lower it onto the edge of the record.
Whentherecordhasnishedplaying,theTONEARM
will stop at the centre of the record and must be
returned to the arm rest manually.

Listening to a CD
Press the FUNCTION button to select CD function.
Open the tray, and place the CD on the tray.
Close the tray and start playing the CD.
TheCDwillstartplayingfromthersttrack.
Press the SKIP+ button once to go the start of the next track.
Press the SKIP/ Fast Forward button once to go back to the start of the current track.
Press the button twice to go back to the start of the previous track
Press REPEAT button once to repeat the current track and the REPEAT
lightwillashonthedisplay;PresstheREPEATbuttonforthesecondtime
to repeat all tracks from begins to end, and the REPEAR light will light
up all the times.
Press the PROG. Button, the unit will have program function.
Instopstate,pressthePROG.Button,theLCDdisplaywillshowandash01,
Then press the FORWARD or BACKWARD button to select the tracks,
press the MEMORY button to repeat this step to program, and it can be
up to 20 songs.
When press STOP button,You can delete this programed function.
Pausing the CD play. Pressing the PLAY/PAUSE button will restart the CD
where it was paused.
Do not switch the unit off while playing a CD as this will damage the unit.
Stopping the CD when it is playing
Fast Reverse (SKIP/Fast Forward (SKIP+FF) you can reverse or forward to any point in a
selected track by pushing and holding the SKIP- or SKIP+ button. NOTE: Do not push both but-
tons together as this may damage the unit.As the unit is tracking quickly, forward or backward
you will hear your selection playing at a distorted speed. Simply release the depressed button to
continue playing at normal speed at the desired position in the selected track.
Listening to the Radio
Press the FUNCTION Button to select AM/FM
function.The AM/FM indicator will light up all the times.
Kindly please note the indicator will light all the time
once it is powered on.
2.Tune to the desired frequency.
Antenna
For optimal FM reception be sure to stretch the built-in
FM antenna wire located at the lower back of the unit and
move it around until the station you have tuned in is being
received clearly
Cleaning and & Maintenance
Cleaning CDS
Useasoftclothtowipeoffanyngerprintsanddustfromthediscsurface.
Wipe in a straight line from the centre to the outside of the disc. Small dust particles and light
stains will not affect reproduction quality.
Never use chemicals such as record sprays, anti-static sprays, benzene or thinners to clean your
CDs.
To reduce the risk of scratches, please put the CD back into the bag after using.
Do not expose CDs to direct sunlight, high humidity or high temperatures for long periods.
Do not stick paper or write anything on either side of the CD.
Only discs displaying this symbol can be played on this unit.
Cleaning the Lens
A dirty lens will cause sound skipping and, if the lens is very dirty, the CD may not work

This product was made in China. Most things are. But
when we brought it over here, we shipped it on a
container ship, along with 10,000 containers of other
things. It may not be fast, it takes about 4 weeks, but it’s
the greenest way of doing it.

We started thinking about how to make this packaging
“Green” from the very beginning,
and thought that using as little paper as possible would
be a good idea. So the whole design process was carried
out online.We didn’t post anything, kept printouts to a
minimum and let technology take the strain.

The trees used to make the card board for this box
all come from sensitively managed forests. Since 2006,
the people that made the cardboard for this box have
planted over 700,000 acres of trees. On top of that, the
whole manufacturing process is ISO14001 approved.
Troubleshooting
Problem Solution
The whole unit Unit is unplugged.
Power does not come on Connect the unit to the AC power supply.
when the unit is switched on.
No sound comes out of the speakers. The volume is turned down (to MIN).
The input selector does not match the
playback source.
Adjust the volume. Reselect the desired
input source.
The sound is noisy. The unit is too close to a TV set or
another similar appliance.
Turn off the TV or other appliance,
and relocate the unit.
Tuner unit
The does not pick up a station, The station may not be tuned in properly.
and/or the signal appears weak. Re-tune to the station you require.
The sound is distorted. A TV set may being used nearby and is
interfering with the radio reception.
Properly tune-in the desired station.
Turn-off the interfering TV set.
The antenna is not oriented properly. Re-orient the antenna until reception
improves.
The unit does not act as expected Switch off at the wall socket and remove the
plug for 1or 2 minutes
CD player
CD stops immediately after starting, The CD is inserted upside down.
or unit pauses or stops during play. The CD is dusty or dirty or there is
condensation on theCD.
Insert the CD with the printed side up.
Carefully clean and dry the CD.
No sound.
The CD player is paused.
Press the PLAY/PAUSE button.

The CD is scratched, damaged or warped.
The disc is very dirty.
The CD should be changed. Carefully clean
the CD.
