The Settings menu requires a password to enter, and includes time/date settings, system preferences,
menu uploading and more. The default password is admin.
Adjust Date and Time
This screen is used to adjust the current date and time
and change the formats displayed on the Main Screen.
NOTE! This screen ONLY changes the date and time of
the Terminal. This screen does NOT change the for-
mat of printed labels.
Set Display Preferences
This screen controls the settings for the touch screen
display. Use it to adjust brightness to fit where your
Terminal is situated, set screen saver information, and
alter the label button size.
A label button size of 100 displays 20 Items at a time.
A label button size of 125% displays 12 items at a time.
You calibrate the touch screen from this screen, or by
touching the touch screen during power up.
Save/Load/Update/Backup
This screen is used to backup current menus, load
new ones, as well as update your 9700.
Save and Load Data File are used to change your label
data (MenuData.xml) files, and the Update and
Backup System buttons do the same for system
configuration.
Copy Log Files to USB will copy your printing logs to
the inserted USB device –but only if logging is
configured. Logging must be enabled as part of your
software installation.

Item Buttons
These touch screen buttons select an individual menu item to
print. Each button is entered into a specific category
(Examples below include Grab N Go, Soup, etc). Selecting an
item button opens the label printing screen.
Main Screen
Time and Date Display
Displays time and date, as well as current user timeout
status. It is important that time and date are correct for
generation of expiration times on food safety labels. Time
and Data are programmed in the Setup menu.
Function Buttons
Feed L & R:
Advances the left or
right label stock
Cancel Printing: Cancels the current label
printing in progress
Language: Toggles the main and
alternate language setup for this printer
–the language included varies by device
Help: Displays help screen with tutorials &
support information. Also contains logout
function.
Settings: This enters the main system
preference screen, covered on pages 6-7
Home: Brings you back to the first category
on the main screen, as shown above
Category Buttons
These touch screen buttons select groups of menu items
for printing or modification. Each menu item button dis-
played is color coded to the corresponding item category
button color (above example being Grab N Go).
Page Select Buttons
The small yellow bar and arrows above the Category Buttons
change the page if a category has more than a single page
worth of items. The yellow bars display the first three charac-
ters in the name of the first item on each page.
