HOW DOES TRASH CAN RETAINER RING WORK?
1) Put garbage bag
inside the trash can
2) Lift up the retainer ring and
wrap the top of the bag over it
3) Set the retainer ring
down to secure bag

Tilt the trash can
and pull Step-
Sensor out with
downward
movement. It will
not damage the
sensor.
Lift the plastic bracket with
the trash bag out of the trash
can. Then, lift up the bag
retainer ring to release the
trash bag on the floor.
ATTENTION:
1. Do not wash the trash can with water because it is equipped with many
electronic parts and sensors. You can clean it with a stainless steel wipe or a
slightly damp cloth.
2. Clean the can body with stainless steel safe products ONLY.
3. Do not press or force the trash can lid to close manually. Lid will close
automatically.
4. To prevent damage to the electronic components from chemicals leaked from
old batteries, replace a new set of batteries immediately when the indicator light
turns to yellow/amber.
5. Avoid direct sunlight on the trash can, and ensure there is enough room to
operate the trash can without blocking the opening and closing of the lid.
6. Do not use a power adaptor that is not authorized by iTouchless, it may result in
fire, electric shock or injury.
7. Do not use power adaptor and battery (together) to operate the trash can at the
same time. It can only be powered by one way or the other.
8. Since this product opens automatically, it may not be suitable for small children
or pets.
TROUBLESHOOTING Q & A
(1) To reset the trash can, turn off power switch, remove battery or AC
power adaptor and wait 5 minutes.
(2) Move the trash can to an open area and make sure nothing is blocking
the lid or Step-Sensor Plates.
(3) Remove and re-insert Step-Sensor Plate into the trash can. Make sure
you can feel a firm click.
(4) Replace a new set of D-sized batteries with same brand and alkaline
type. After these troubleshooting steps, your trash can should be
working. If not, please contact us via www.iTouchless.com/contacts/ for
warranty service.
The LED light is not blinking
The LED light will blink only when Step-
Sensor is tap (blue color), Remain-Open
mode is engaged (green color), or when
the battery power is low (yellow/amber
color).
The lid does not open after I tap
on Step-Sensor.
Check if the batteries are inserted
correctly and the power switch is turned
on. Also check if Step-Sensor is plugged
all the way in.
The lid remains open after walk
away.
If the LED light is blinking green every
few seconds, the trash can is in Remain-
Open mode (5-minute close timer). Tap
on Step-Sensor once to close it manually.
The lid does not close all the
way.
Check if the plastic bracket of the trash
can retainer ring is properly set on the
canister.
The LED light flashes in
yellow/amber color.
The battery power is low; replace all 4
batteries with a new set of Alkaline
batteries. Do not use rechargeable
battery or mix old batteries.

Step-Sensor Touchless Trash Can is distributed by iTouchless Housewares & Products, lnc.
(iTouchless) with the highest quality components and most advanced technologies available.
The trash can is warranted to be free from defects in material and workmanship, given normal
use and care, for 365 days from the date of the original purchase with proof of purchase
within the United States and Canada. iTouchless will only honor warranty requests from
orders placed with our authorized dealers. Items sold as used, floor sample or refinished are
sold solely under the terms and conditions of the selling party; iTouchless will not warrant
such purchase. iTouchless will repair or replace the damaged part thereof which fails as the
result of such a defect during the warranty period.
The warranty is the customers' exclusive remedy for product defect and does not apply to:
User modification
Attachments to product by user that causes damage
Any product, on which the seals and/or serial numbers have been broken, removed,
tampered with, defaced or altered in any manner
Damage caused by abuse, misuse, accident, water or theft
Except as stated above, iTouchless makes no express or implied warranties as to any
product, in particular, makes no warranty of merchantability or of fitness for any particular
purpose. iTouchless shall not be liable for consequential or incidental damages arising from
any product defect. Our Liability is limited to the replacement of any defective product.
iTouchless expressly disclaims all warranties not satisfied in this limited warranty. Any implied
warranties that may be imposed by law are limited to the terms of this limited warranty. The
Can Body, Active Carbon Filter, Retainer Ring, 3D Filter Compartment, and Battery
Compartment are not covered by this warranty.

details, please refer to the warranty email that iTouchless will provide. The required warranty
fee is subject to location. Fee references are as following: for Contiguous 48 U.S. States
$19.95 and up, for Canada $49.95 and up, for Alaska and Hawaii $75.95 and up.
Subject to the above conditions, we will ship a working unit to you after payment has been
provided for the warranty service fee. This warranty gives you specific legal rights. However,
you may also have other rights that vary from state to state and province.
